NEET 2020 ranklist will be prepared by NTA for admission in medical and dental colleges of the country. NEET 2020 Result will be announced on June 4, 2020.

Looking at the last year result, the topper Nalin Khandelwal secured 701 out of 720 marks. Since the exam is yet to be conducted, candidates should prepare as per the last year result and score accordingly.

NEET Qualifying Percentile

  • Candidates are required to score minimum qualifying marks in NEET 2020 to qualify for further admission process.
  • Candidates belonging to unreserved (UR) category are required to score equivalent to at least 50 percentile and those belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC are required to obtain marks equivalent to at least 40 percentile to be considered for AIQ and state counselling process.

  1. NEET Rank List for All India Quota: The All India Quota List is drawn up by NTA to provide admission to the applicants into 15% seats of Government Medical and Dental Colleges of the nation.
  2. NEET UG State Wise Rank List: The State Wise Rank List is set up by the authorities designated for various states. More than 85% seats in the NEET Participating Institutes are reserved for state quota.

  • As per previous year analysis of NEET result, in order to come in the top 100 ranks of NEET, one would roughly need a score of 701 or above.
  • The last person to qualify NEET 2019 from general category got a score of 133 and NEET rank of 5,43,473. 
  • The highest mark scored in NEET 2019 was 701, and in NEET 2018 it was 691.

Topper’s Speak: Strategies to Crack NEET 2020

Nalin Khandelwal​

Nalin from Jaipur took coaching for NEET Entrance Examination from Allen Jaipur Center. Navdeep Singh stated that candidates should have faith in themselves. They shouldn't shy from asking doubts. According to Nalin, he studied 7-8 hours daily and was fully focused from past 2 years. He also skipped social media so that he doesn’t get diverted.

Bhavik Bansal

The Delhi Topper, Bhavik believes that NCERT is the bible for preparation of all subjects. As per Bhavik, NEET consists of 80-90% of questions from NCERT. He practiced multiple mock test and Practice papers , and had mugged up NCERT for about three to four times. He also took coaching from Aakash Institute, Preet Vihar. The topper loves to play PC games and watch youtube, he did’nt leave this passion and balanced his studies with his hobbies. 

Akshat Kaushik

Another Topper with 100 percentile Akshit Kaushik says not to get demotivated while preparing for exam. Akshit took the coaching from Aakash Intitute , Varanasi. The topper used to solve many solving papers after studying the chapter twice or thrice.While giving the exam, he used to mark few questions for review. He marked atleast 40-50 questions out of 200 for review, which he used to solve later. He gave a hefty 2 hours to physics but only when he knew he could afford that without missing out on questions from other subjects.

Swastik Bhatia​

Swatisk, another NEET Topper is from Faridabad. Swastik believes that hard work, self-study, positive approach towards goal and staying away from social media platforms played the major role in his success story. In order to keep his cool, Swastik’s entire family used to watch Kapil Sharma comedy show. He used to study for 12-14 hours daily and during the leisure time he had conversation with family and that was also medical related.
