The counselling will be conducted mostly in two rounds. Students applying for MBBS/BDS programs in J&K must have cleared NEET 2020. Candidates belonging to Jammu and Kashmir are not eligible for 15% AIQ seats and therefore, they can avail 100% seats in the medical colleges of Jammy and Kashmir.

Candidates can go through the list of important documents which they require for granting admission to J&K MBBS.
Allotment of seats in MBBS is done strictly based on the merit of the eligible applicants that are determined by the rank obtained in NEET 2020. Applicants are called for the counseling according to the rank specified in the NEET Merit List. Consequently, all the eligible applicants above the respective cutoff are allotted seats in various medical and dental institutes of Jammu and Kashmir.
The applicant needs to join the allotted institute within the specified time period. Failure to join in time, the institute can disqualify the applicant. The second round of counseling will be conducted only if there are vacant seats available after the first round of counseling.
According to the recent notification, there has been an increase in MBBS seats in Jammu Kashmir for the session 2020 due to opening up of new medical colleges. Therefore the total seats in Government Medical Colleges are 800.

The application form for admission is available online for the counselling session. Applicants whose names are declared in the merit list are required to report to the office of JKBOPEE office in order to fill up the counselling form and register themselves.
NTA releases two cutoff lists for all the states except for Andhra Pradesh, Telangana & Jammu & Kashmir. Mentioned 3 states have the special admission criteria in case of Medical courses.
Jammu & Kashmir stands differently from regular admission strategies. The state conducts its 100% medical admission based on JK State NEET Cutoff only, this means that the candidates from other states are not at all allowed to join into Jammu –Kashmir Medical Colleges & no student shall go to the other states for admissions from J & K.
