I choose entc because I couldn't get cs in coep as its cutoff was extremely high The faculty members here are very talented and cooperative some also hold Ph.D. from IIT which is amazing As of my year, the schedule is compacted so the tests are monthly and the end sem is conducted just 3 months after the start of the college You can easily pass test1 and tesr2 with a few efforts But we have to study for the end sem seriously

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is same as savitribai phule pune University but question paper is set by faculty of that respective subjects. Depending upon faculty and subject difficulty may vary but it is difficult than pune University for sure. All the faculties are highly qualified means nearly about all are having their PhD from IIT Delhi, iit Bombay, and other reputed institution. Teaching of faculty is good I am not talking best but it is upto the level. Faculty students ratio is nearly about 1:20.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to explore more about computer technology so I chose this college and the course. The faculty-student ratio is good in this college as the number of intakes is limited, and proper allotment of faculty is done. As this is the most prestigious and top college all the teachers and professors here are highly qualified. The exams are quite difficult and are conducted every semester.

Ques
What should I prefer for a CS, NIT Goa, VJTI Mumbai, or COEP Pune?

● Top Answer By Rupam Ghose on 23 Aug 21

Ans
NIT Goa, VJTI Mumbai, and COEP Mumbai are well-known engineering colleges. The choice depends upon you. The following are the points to be considered. If you are Mumbai-based, VJTI is the best choice. The college has played a crucial role in setting up IITs and RECs in India. It has a decent infrastructure. If you are Pune-based, COEP is the best choice. It has the best infrastructure with a big campus and excellent placements. If you want to have an NIT tag under your belt NIT Goa is the best choice. All these colleges are at a similar level. So, you should choose according to your convenience. If you don’t live at any of these locations then your preference order should be COEP/ VJTI > NIT Goa. VJIT has a great placement record. The average CTC offered by the institute is 7 LPA.

Ques
When comparing College of Engineering Pune and NIT Surathkal, which is better?

● Top Answer By Aditya Tripathi on 01 Apr 21

Ans
According to my knowledge, College of Engineering, Pune is not that popular. When you do a basic google search, most suggestions say it is a good college. Many people have also compared it with VNIT Nagpur while a few also say that it is probably better than VNIT. When these two colleges are compared to NIT Surathkal, it makes NIT Surathkal the best. This institute ranks as one of the top 3 NITs in our country – NIT Trichy, NIT Warangal and NIT Surathkal.  If placements are your concern, they are pretty good. Additionally, the average packages are also increasing every year. Even if your grades are low, you will still land a job in some company. However, It is advised to study hard if you want a plethora of opportunities to be open for you.  There are quite a few top notch companies that pay higher salaries every year.  Most packages are 10+ and increasing even now. Here are some basic facts about both the colleges -  Categories College of Engineering Pune NIT Surathkal Course Fee 1.62-2.58 lakh 5.45 lakh Placement Percentage 79.3% 93-95% Highest CTC 13 LPA 15-20 LPA Average CTC 4 LPA 6-7 LPA Recruiting Companies Oracle, Microsoft, Infosys, ZS Associates, etc. DRDO, Wipro, HP, GE, Moog India, Goldman Sachs, Google, etc. As of 2021, the highest international package offered was INR 83 LPA with one student receiving a domestic package of INR 49 LPA, with more than 286 different companies visiting the institute. The top recruiters here include Oracle, Uber, Amazon, Goldman Sachs and Google. A major plus point is also the beach is quite close to the college. If you are looking for a drawback, it is probably the food. You will find a north Indian and south Indian mess but the food is nothing to boast about. Overall, you will definitely have a good time at NIT Surathkal. You will have to research a little more about Pune.

Both NIT Rourkela and College of Engineering, Pune come under the tier-3 Indian engineering colleges. Opting for a college near to your residence would be a wise decision. The CS branch in both these institutes is similar in various aspects. They have an experienced and cooperative faculty. The infrastructure in NIT Rourkela and COEP is pretty decent. Ques
Is MNNIT Allahabad better than COEP Pune?

● Top Answer By Sukriti Roy Chowdhury on 05 Jul 21

Ans
On an overall basis, MNNIT Allahabad is generally considered one step ahead of COEP, Pune. The reason behind it is that MNNIT is a well-reputed, prestigious institute that recently got placed at rank 3rd in the list of top NITs in India. On the flip side, COEP Pune is a common government college of India. MNNIT is better in terms of placements, infrastructure, research and development cell, alumni network, sports activities, funds disbursement, faculty, and others, as opposed to COEP Pune. The table below gives a brief comparison of the two institutes. Institute MNNIT Allahabad COEP, Pune Highest CTC 49 LPA 39 LPA No of students selected 757 607 Major recruiters IBM, JP Morgan, Byju’s ABB, BOSCH, Akash Institute If you have to choose between both of them, going for MNNIT Allahabad will be a better choice because there can hardly be any comparisons between an NIT and a government-run college of India.

Ques
What should I do, Sardar Patel college of engineering mechanical or college of engineering Pune civil?

● Top Answer By Akash Banerjee on 31 Mar 22

Ans
If we compare these colleges based only on brand value and reputation, then COEP is way ahead of SPCE.  But you should prioritize your branch of choice while choosing an institute. Civil and Mechanical engineering, both these are core branches of engineering and have their advantages and disadvantages. Mechanical Engineering will give you exposure to a variety of branches like Automobile, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Thermal, etc. If you are genuinely interested in Mechanical Engineering, you can go to Sardar Patel College of Engineering. They have a good faculty base for the branch.  If you are flexible regarding your branch choice, you can choose COEP Civil. The institute offers a branch change option after completion of the first year too.
