The HRM program is very enriching and the course is rigorous. You get to solve dozens of cases daily and get a whole new perspective on the business world and how really things work. Faculty is very famous countrywide and have a 1 to 10 ratio with students.
Read Full ReviewI chose the HRM program because XLRI's HR program is the best in India and Asia-Pacific region apart from having an inclination toward HR as a career. The cases that are being taught here are from Harvard University. Each subject consists of Quiz, Mid-Term, and End-Term, along with assignments and projects. The faculties are very brilliant in their field and also have unique teaching styles. Some of the faculties served as consultants to some of the big organizations in the country. They keep themselves as well as students aware of the current market scenarios so that students can do better in their careers post their studies. If a student indulges in the daily study then it is not difficult to pass the exams. Also, the faculties focus more on the implementation of concepts rather than the concepts in the exams.
Read Full ReviewI preferred the HRM program as XLRI is one of the best for this program. The course curriculum is very rigorous, especially in the first year, as there are multiple general subjects a student needs to learn to understand management. The core specialization comes from the second year. The faculty members are experts in their fields and deliver quality knowledge through projects, group simulation exercises, quizzes, etc.
Read Full ReviewXLRI HRM program is considered to be the best of its kind in the Asia-Pacific region. Its alumna is currently serving in CHRO roles in diverse industries. The course follows a healthy mix of theoretical and application-based case pedagogy. While students are familiarised with knowledge of courses like Micro/Macro Economics, Quantitative Aptitude, etc, they are also put to test with application-based courses like Performance Management, Wage Determination, and Strategic management. The student-to-faculty ratio sits at 9:1 which ensures proper learning. Most of the teachers have completed their Ph.D./FPM from IIMs across India as well as abroad. Most of the classes are driven through healthy student participation where they are required to arrive at the solution to the problem presented by the faculty. XLRI follows the trimester model where exams are held after every 3 months. The curriculum is rigorous and it is generally difficult to pass.
Read Full ReviewIt is the best PGDM Course in India with a focus on sustainability as well. The faculty/student ratio is almost 1:30. All of the faculty are a minimum Ph.D. and most have post-docs from US/Europe best colleges. Exams are very timely and conducted in a proper manner. One can perform well only if they have studied and applied themselves, cheating isn't a feasible way to pass.
Read Full ReviewHaving work experience in the marketing domain for the last 2 years, I chose the Business Management course, as it gave me the flexibility to change the domain which I wanted to. The course curriculum is designed to cover all-around business development in the first year and provides the freedom to choose your specialization in the second. The faculty: student ratio is around 1:25, with most of the profs having qualifications of the old IIMs. The term exams are scheduled every 3 months and have moderate to hard level of difficulty.
Read Full ReviewGood placements and learning experience. The faculty-student ratio is pretty good. The teaching is decent, however, the cherry on top really is, is peer learning. It is not very difficult to pass but MBA as a course is definitely quite hectic because along with academics, you have a lot of events throughout the year. XL is a student-run campus, so from the food we eat to the internet on campus, is all managed by student teams in association with the administration, so people are always busy.
Read Full ReviewThe course curriculum is at par with the top universities and is very interdisciplinary in nature. Most courses are executed via a case-based pedagogy. The faculty members ensure that the learning outcomes are aligned with industry requirements.
Read Full ReviewThe course curriculum is very well suited to the industry's expectations. The class size of 60 faculty allows for interactions with the faculty. There were quizzes and processes all around the term with the end terms. First-year subjects are tougher to start with but it gets progressively easier.
