Course Curriculum Overview:

I have selected the PGDM program which is the flagship program for the institute and the choice was very obvious the number of students is around 450 including the students for the PGDIE program. We are a class strength of around 70 people and we have around 10 subjects in each module and the Teachers ratio is very optimum because we have more than one teacher teaching for one particular subject depending upon their competencies for a particular course and all the faculties are having prior experience of teaching in top b school s and some of them are like more than 20 years of teaching experience in NITIE. We have 10 subjects in one module so we have several exam assignments that are done at regular intervals. The teaching method of every faculty is very unique and adds something new to the discussion through industrial knowledge and consultancy done for many top organizations.

Ques
What are the differences between Operations and SCM at NITIE?

Ans
Supply Chain Management deals with the flow of goods and services from external businesses or places. Operation management is the management of internal processes. The skill-sets required for SCM and Operations Management are fairly similar. Many companies have different teams or individuals that handle these areas separately. Also, for some companies, a single team or a person handles both areas. The meaning of SCM and Operations are often interchangeable. In NITIE also, they mean the same thing.

Ques
Can I get into the PGDIE course of NITIE if I have a 52.2% in my 12th and 8.2 CGPA in my BE mechanical?

● Top Answer By Aritra Banerjee on 31 Mar 22

Ans
As your 12th percentage is below 60%, you will face difficulty in getting a shortlist. NITIE selection criteria assign certain weightage to 10th and 12th scores. So, even if you get shortlisted for the GD/PI round, your 12th percentage will bring down your overall score. A person with similar GD-PI performance and a higher 12th percentage is more likely to get preference for admission.   During the Summer internship shortlist, most recruiters usually give weightage to the 12th score. There are recruiters who don’t assign weightage to 10th and 12th scores but these are fewer in number.
