For PGDIM, NITIE admission is based on CAT score and performance of students in GD and PI. According to the recent cutoff trends, the recruited score is around the 97 percentile.

You need to have completed BE/B.Tech with 60% aggregate to be eligible for the course. For final selection, students are shortlisted based on academics, work experience, extra-curricular, etc.

The general eligibility criteria for a PGDIM course is BE/BTech with 60% aggregate. You will also need a decent CAT score to apply for PGDIM at NITIE. According to the recent cutoff trends, the required CAT cutoff is 97 percentile for PGDIM. Other than the basic eligibility criteria, you also need to perform well in the GD-PI round.

NITIE assigns different weightage to these parameters. Although the detailed profile selection procedure of NITIE is not disclosed.

According to my friends studying at NITIE, Faculty members shortlist profiles, and the mechanism changes each year. It is not published, so anyone who claims to know the criteria is not telling the truth.

Common-sense dictates that the criteria include academics, interests, work-related and personal activities and achievements, and so on.

Here are some of the basic points for the selection process of a candidate for PGDIM course at NITIE:

  • Candidates must have a BE/B.Tech degree with 60% from any branch from a recognized university.
  • They must have a valid CAT score.
  • If you are appearing for your final year, you are eligible to apply.
  • You will be shortlisted by your CAT score.
  • The shortlisted candidates have to sit for GD and PI in the NITIE Mumbai campus.

Remember one thing, present your best self, and if you are chosen, think wisely and then make any decision.
