Course Curriculum Overview:

IIM L is the 4th best IIM in India; rejecting it was never an option for me as it was my best call. The academic curriculum is a bit rigorous as you must give assignments and quizzes and prepare for your summer placements. But the faculty member I would say is very experienced and they would certainly clear all your doubts

Course Curriculum Overview:

I focused on general management courses as electives. There are two sections for 120 candidates Class and course designs are such that there is good interaction and engagement between faculty and students Faculty are no doubt the best in the industry, it's IIM so each faculty is unique and comes with an ocean of experience their real-time work experience is great to know, which helps to understand the management better. Yes studies are difficult but it all depends if you manage to balance the pace of course with your regular efforts n routine

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very much in line with the industry norms + requirements and curtails the number of guest lectures (usually 2-3 per subject) from industry stalwarts. the curriculum is bifurcated into 6 terms + summer internships. The faculty pool is one of the best in the country in terms of management education, more than 90% of the faculty have phd affiliations from the top tier universities from India and abroad (including but not limited to Havard, Standford and Wharton). They not only possess industrial experience and prowess in research but also held consulting positions in prominent PSUs, Govt. projects and corporate giants. The class usually consists of 60-65 students, with the current student-to-faculty ratio being 7:1. The curriculum is very much pragmatic and includes healthy exposure to learn from the institute's alumni and other giants of the country (both public and corporate). The curriculum plan is followed to the dot and exams are conducted on time every time.

Course Curriculum Overview:

IIM Lucknow has a strong faculty across all domains, a.k.a., marketing, finance, strategy, operations, It & systems, data science, etc. A given class size of a given faculty is around 50-65 students. All faculty members in the college have doctorates in their respective fields of expertise, with almost all professors engaged in research work. The review system needs some serious retrospection and overhaul. There are mid and end-term reviews collected through physical forms but how much it affects the professors individually to better their methods, needs transparency. Exams are held on time, with the schedules being released around a month prior to the examinations. It is moderately easy to pass most examinations by paying attention in class and light revisions. Some subjects are challenging and require dedicated efforts to score above/average.

Ques
Does ISB have a brand value better than that of XLRI, FMS, or IIM L?

● Top Answer By Malabika Saha on 24 Jun 22

Ans
The brand value of ISB and XLRI, FMS, IIM L can’t be compared. ISB is known for its executive PGP while XLRI, FMS, and IIM L are reputed for their two-year-long MBA progran. These are some of the top-rated B-Schools in the country and have long-standing legacies.  ISB has a huge batch size of around 800. Due to the huge batch size students face problems getting decent opportunities through campus placements. The ROI isn’t that good. The total course fee for PGPM is around INR 36.3 lakhs. While the average CTC is around 34.07 LPA, according to the recent highlights of ISB placements.

Ques
What is the percentile that will ensure a call from IIM Calcutta, Lucknow, Bangalore, and Ahmadabad having 83% in 10th, 83% in 12th and a 6.9 CPGA in graduation, till now having no work experience?

● Top Answer By Arshit Jain on 17 Nov 22

Ans
If you have a good 10th and 12th-grade point average but a gradual decrease in graduation, it will undoubtedly affect your admission if you do not have work experience. Attempt to improve your CAT percentile. Having a round 99.86+ percentile, you may receive a call from both the new and old IIMs.

Ques
Which executive MBA course is better between IIM Indore's EPGP and IIM Lucknow's IPMX?

● Top Answer By Siddarth Mukharjee on 05 May 22

Ans
Compared to IIM Lucknow’s IPMX, IIM Indore’s EPGP will be a better option.  Small Cohort Size:  IIM Indore has a small cohort size. So, the professor-to-student ratio is higher.  Location:  IIM Indore IPMX program takes place on the Noida campus. The environment on campus is ideal for studies and it also has the advantage of being close to the industries in the Delhi NCR region.  Placement: IIM Indore Executive MBA placements 2022 had witnessed an all-time high average placement package. The average CTC for the top 25% of the EPGP students was INR 35.5 LPA. While the top 50% of students received an average CTC of INR 30.6 LPA.  Batch Size:  IIM Indore 2021 EPGP batch had 68 students. Students had work experiences in the range of 5-15 years. The students crowd is diverse and there is huge potential for peer learning.  Due to these factors, EPGP from IIM Indore will be a better option.

Among these IIM Lucknow PGP ABM is the best option. IIM Lucknow tag offers certain advantages. You will get access to many case studies, a diverse student pool, a huge alumni network, and an ecosystem that fosters learning and excellence.  For the first year, ABM students share classes with PGP students. Ques
Does IIM Lucknow also use Harvard case studies like IIMA?

● Top Answer By Akash Agrawal on 20 Mar 21

Ans
IIM Lucknow programs emphasize extensive case-based discussions, presentations, and role-plays to initiate an interactive learning environment. So, professors use cases from all B-schools across the world. Professors use cases from HBR, Ivey League, Stanford, IIM Ahmedabad, Kellogg’s, Wall Street Journal, and by IIM-L professors and students. In this premier B-school of India, almost all the subjects use case-study pedagogy. Even the oral communication subjects use cases to give a glimpse of real-time situations. The cases are important, but the level of the discussion carried out in the classroom plays a more predominant role. So, in all such analyses, the students are expected to read the case beforehand and prepare their participation notes. It is major for an extensive discussion. Some classes involve cases only. But sometimes, some use cases for discussion purposes only. All the case studies are available on the website of HBS and can be purchased. But it will not add any value to the students until debated in the classroom with experienced professors and diverse opinions of the students. The ultimate motto is to use the best cases to preview the real-life application. Harvard cases are considered to be one of the best management cases in the world.
