As far as the course B.Com (Hons.) is concerned, both the colleges, Gargi or SBSC are good in their own ways.

The Faculty of both the colleges are well experienced and cooperative. The only difference is that Gargi is an all girls college unlike the other.

If you want to choose between them, it is preferable you go for Gargi. Being a girl's college the experience you will be getting there will be quite different, considering the ambience.

SBCS is also good but Gargi has better placements, as many top companies take part in their placement program. Gargi also has a better position in DU in terms of Drama, Debate, cultural programs, extra-curriculars, etc.

Both colleges have their pros and cons, it is for you to decide which suits your requirements and then choose accordingly.

Here are some points about them both:

  • According to the infrastructure, Gargi will definitely be a better choice. It has better infrastructure compared to Daulat Ram which is recently in news for poor maintenance of the college buildings.
  • Daulat Ram has the upper hand for being a north campus college.
  • Hudson lane and Kamla Nagar market are nearby Daulat Ram, good hangout spots are lacking near Gargi.
  • The faculty of both the colleges are more or less the same. They are well experienced and cooperative.

Among these institutes, Daulat Ram Collge has a great Commerce faculty base. The professors are well-experienced and dedicated. They help students with their doubts even after college hours.

It is situated on the north campus. It is a fun place to be. There is always some event going on. Also, Daulat Ram has a great fest called Manjari.

Gargi College and Indraprastha College for Women are also good alternatives. If you clear the required cutoff for all these colleges, your preference order should be Daulat Ram>I.P>Gargi.

Both these colleges are good options for pursuing a BCom honors. The quality of academics offered at these colleges is decent. However, being situated at the North campus, Daulat Ram has an edge over Gargi College. The faculty base is great at DRC.
