Scholarships for the economically weak but meritorious students are provided by the university. Generally, the university offers two types of scholarships through which 100% and 50% fee is waived for eligible students. The details for the scholarships given by St. Xavier’s University are given below.

  • Loyola Scholarship (UG and PG) except for MBA from 2nd Semester onwards waive 100% fees for students with a monthly family income not more than INR 3,60,000. A minimum 60% score is mandatory  in the 10th, 12th, and the last semester of the course enrolled for along with 75% attendance to apply for these scholarships.
  •  Rupa Scholarship offers 100% scholarship for MA Psychology, MSW, B.Com & M.Com from the 1st Semester onwards or students with a monthly family income not more than INR 3,60,000. A minimum 60% score is mandatory in the 10th, 12th, and the last semester of the course enrolled for along with 75% attendance to apply for these scholarships.
  • Britto Scholarship (UG and PG)from 2nd Semester onwards waives 50% fees for students with a monthly family income not more than INR 4,20,000. A minimum 60% score is mandatory in the 10th, 12th and the last semester of the course enrolled for along with 75% attendance to apply for this scholarship.
  • Nihil Ultra Scholarship (UG only) from 1st Semester onwards waives 100% fees for students with a minimum 95% score in the 10th and 12th and 75% score in the last semester of the course enrolled for along with 90% attendance to apply for this scholarship.
  • Fr. Beckers Scholarship (MBA only) waives 50% fees for students with a monthly family income not more than INR 6,00,000. A minimum 70% score is mandatory in the last semester of the course enrolled for along with 90% attendance to apply for this scholarship.
  • Snegam Scholarship and Deo Maheshwari Scholarship (MSW only) waive 100% fees for students with a monthly family income not more than INR 3,60,000. Minimum 75% attendance is mandatory to apply for these scholarships.

Other Requirements:
▪ In case of outstanding sports performance, besides the income criteria, the candidate must have a podium finish in any individual/team event of the national or international level.
▪ The candidate is expected to take part in at least one social work initiative of the University in the preceding semester.
▪ The candidate must not have any record of disciplinary action against him/her in any of the preceding semester by the disciplinary committee of the University.

Note(s): The candidate must not be a recipient of any other Government or private scholarship at the time of the application of this scholarship.
▪ Attaining the minimum eligibility criteria does not guarantee the award of a scholarship. The final decision lies solely with the Scholarship Committee.
▪ If a candidate is unable to meet the above-mentioned requirements of the scholarship in any particular semester, his/her scholarship shall be cancelled for the remaining duration of his program.
▪ The scholarship is applicable only on Tuition fees. The student must pay all other fees as applicable according to the rules of the University.

*Person with Disabilities (PwD) Category: Applicable for Students with disabilities 40% and above and have a valid certificate of disability as prescribed under rules issued by the competent authority. Disability is defined in "Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016".

Additional Eligibility Criteria: The scholarship offered will be revoked if the candidate:

  • Fails to submit the necessary supporting documents relating to the scholarship. 
  • Has Arrear Papers in the first 3 semesters of the MBA degree program.
  • Doesn’t have a minimum of 85% attendance in the first 3 semesters of the MBA degree program / becomes attendance debarred in any semester. 
  • Has any record of disciplinary action against him/her in any of the preceding semesters by the disciplinary committee of the University. 

Note: If a candidate is eligible for a scholarship under multiple categories, then he/she will be granted the scholarship under only one category which has the highest amount of deduction.
