- Computer Lab: XBS provides its students with a well-equipped lab, with updated systems installed with data analytics software such as SPSS, R Studio, Tableau which helps them in their research-related work throughout the course. The efforts have resulted in numerous e-initiative taken up in the Wi-Fi-enabled campus.
- Library: The MBA Library is well equipped with modem facilities and resources (print and electronic) in the form of online databases, micro-documents, books, journals, reports, etc. It has also developed a full-fledged Digital Library to provide remote access to the students. - Auditorium: Fr. Albert Huart Hall is a colossal structure of pride for Xavier Business School, St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata. The auditorium with a seating capacity of 500 people, acts as a common ground for students and faculty for organizing seminars, conferences, cultural programs, faculty development programs, workshops, etc. Various events and competitions are held in this auditorium throughout the year which gives a variety of exposure to the students in showcasing their talents and in grooming their inborn virtues.
- Hostel: The MBA Programme being residential, has separate hostel buildings for men and women namely “Tagore Residence for Boys” and “Mother Teresa Residence for Girls” respectively inside the campus. The hostels are designed to provide comfortable, safe, inclusive and secure living. The hostel life is a platform for lasting friendships. Residential staff is always available to support students from different backgrounds to promote Community Living on campus. The hostels accommodate about 600 students – 300 girls and 300 boys. The hostel mess provides 3 meals per day (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) and both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.
- Indoor & Outdoor Games: The campus has an extravagant football field and a high-intensity lighted basketball court which is graced by several intra and inter-college tournaments throughout the year. Apart from outdoor activities, certain indoor games facilities like carom, chess and table tennis are also available for students to enjoy their time after the tedious class hours. The University ground hosts the Annual Sports Day of the University every year in January.

I know a few people from the institute so I know a little bit about the institute. St. Xavier's University is not a good university for business management courses and the placements here are not very good.
- For the academic year 2020, companies like Deloitte, EY came here for placements but the package offered is very less with an average package of around 3.5 - 4.2 LPA. And the roles for which the students are hired are not even required MBA specialization.
- The placement officer at the institute is not very cooperative. The management also told the students who were opting for HR that there won't be enough jobs available and they won't be responsible for it.
- The MBA students have to appear for interviews with the same group of B.Com, Eco Hons, Eco M.A, BMS students instead of paying higher fees of almost three times and the hostel fees which are compulsory too. The course cost around 14 lakhs.
Instead of joining St. Xavier's University with such high fees and poor academics and placements, it is better to choose any other business school with good placements.

If you are considering pursuing a degree in Economics, it is recommended that you do not prioritize Xavier's Kolkata.
- You'd be better off starting at one of the top ten colleges in Delhi or one of the top five in Mumbai.
- Kolkata lacks the atmosphere and opportunities that economics graduates require both during and after graduation.
- In contrast, Delhi has a great environment (coaching and guidance for higher studies in eco) and opportunities (training and internships) for eco graduates.
- The Finance Industry in Mumbai will be very helpful (and much needed) in obtaining internships, part-time jobs, or any other type of practical training.
- Calcutta is devoid of all of these.
- Also, Mathematics is mandatory in order to be admitted to B.A. (Eco) at St. Xavier's Kolkata.
If you are not applying through any quotas (such as Christian, SC/ST, or from schools affiliated with Xavier's), you will need at least 96 percent in class 12th. Despite the fact that it appears in subsequent lists, it goes down by 1%–2%.

St. Xavier’s College is an autonomous college under CU. St. Xavier’s University is a separate university. Though both of these institutes are under the same management.
You should choose St. Xavier’s College for a B.Com (Hons). It is the best commerce college in the country. The professors are the best in the field. Being autonomous, curriculum to examination papers, everything is set by the college. Only the degree is offered by CU. St. Xavier’s College fees are nominal for B.Com. The course fee is only INR 2.35 Lakhs.

St. Xavier’s College Kolkata is one of the most popular colleges in the country. It is an old college with a strict and disciplined curriculum. The college has a proven track record of offering excellent academics and co-curricular.
