I chose this course because it's a very rare and professional course and by this course, one can know about the earth and living things and know our history, and learning about our own history is very special. The student ratio is 55 for the UG course for bsc geology. Every teacher in the faculty is very qualified and they know literally everything about the source and course. Exams were divided into internal, model, and main semester. Internals and model exams were always easy but the semester will be quite tough unlike model and internals.

I passed with all the exams. I'm very effort to pass my exam. Because all the workout every day. This is the reason for passing my exam.

One of my friends studied at Presidency College, Chennai. According to her it is a good institution but has average facilities.
- The faculty or teaching staff are highly experienced.
- The course curriculum is also good.
- At present staff are outnumbered and there is a lack of teachers.
- Students do not have a dedicated classroom, both PG and UG students keep shifting from one room to another to attend class because of the lack of a department dedicated room.
- There are two classrooms with good facilities, but the other two rooms lack seating facilities. It is very difficult to accomodate 40 students in those two rooms.
It is suggested that you do not join the Presidency College, Chennai, rather than look for other more reliable options.
At first, you have to fill up their application form and choose the course and submit it. Check for the status and see the list of candidates published.
The selection is done on merit basis followed by an interview.
All UG admission procedures consist of the same application filling type. All PG procedures involve group discussion, personal interview and entrance test.
Presidency College Chennai still doesn’t offer online forms. So you will need to get the application form by post. Fill up the required details, and send it back. It depends on your expectation. You can’t expect great infrastructure, since it is one of the oldest institutes in the country. But it has been renovated recently. The faculty base is decent. However, many professors teach in Tamil, since most of the students are from Tamil medium. The college starts at 8:30 am and end at 1 pm. So, you will get plenty of free time to do what you want. If you utilize your time well, it is definitely worth joining the college.
The History department of Presidency College, Chennai is one of the oldest departments of the institute. The faculties are well-qualified. The departmental library has a good collection of books. If you are interested in pursuing a History course, Presidency College Chennai can be a good place for you. However, you should know that most of the students are Tamil, so it can be difficult to adjust.
I have a few friends who attended Presidency College, Chennai. According to their experience, the hostel accommodation offered is average at best. The facilities offered are not well-maintained. They have common toilets and washrooms. Despite the poor facilities, the environment in the hostels is peaceful. It is ideal for studies.
