Indian Institute of Information Technology, Bhagalpur (IIIT Bhagalpur) is one of the IIITs set up by MHRD, Government of India in the Public-Private Partnership model. It started functioning in the mentorship of IIT Guwahati from the academic year 2017. It is ranked 1st among technical colleges in Bhagalpur Jurisdiction. IIIT Bhagalpur has 03 branches of academic excellence under the B.Tech course.

Admission in the courses is held through National level entrance JEE Mains following JEE advanced respectively.
The application form is only available online. IIIT Bhagalpur ushers its admission process through a proper counseling session.

Eligibility

For the B.Tech program, candidates who have secured a minimum of 75% in Intermediate graduates are eligible to apply. Candidates need to maintain their Rank in Top 50 percentile for an increased chance of their admission. Admission to reserved seats follows the same procedure, though liberty is granted in merit round.

Selection Criteria

Considering the 12th exam results, JEE Main and JEE Advanced score, a merit list shall be made category-wise, listing All India Rank (AIR) of candidates.
Candidate has to register for counseling online at the official JoSSA website.
Locking and Choice filling is compulsory and it is to be completed by the candidate only.
Branch choices are to be filled in decreasing order of preference.

Documents required

Scanned copies of academic details.
Scanned Passport size photograph of the candidate.
A scanned clear signature of the candidate.
Necessary Certificates like caste, passing, and Domicile.
A valid e-mail ID

Application process

Register for the JEE Advanced exam for the B. Tech program.
Candidate needs to enter the correct details regarding personal, academic, and scanned Images of Photograph and Signature needs to be uploaded.
Pay the application fee through Debit card/Credit card/Net banking/UPI/PAYTM by following the online instructions.
Print the Confirmation Page and keep it for future reference after successful payment.

IIIT Bhagalpur is a new institute and is continuing to develop its infrastructure, facilities, and faculty over the years. Being a new IIIT, there are a lot of challenges faced by the institute with time. The points below give a brief overview of the institute and its present conditions.

A new institute has a lot to prove to the general public regarding its quality in placement and opportunities. IIIT Bhagalpur is on its preparation for the same over the years, trying to prove itself.
IIT Guwahati is the mentor institute of IIIT Bhagalpur. Being a premier institute in the country, it is expected that IIT Guwahati will turn IIIT Bhagalpur into an institute with proper recognition and importance.
IIIT Bhagalpur receives enough funds from the government for its growth and development in infrastructure, just because of the IIIT tag. Such funds are enough for any institute to set an excellent environment and learning conditions for engineering studies.

Therefore, IIIT Bhagalpur would be a good choice for CSE, and the institute will be on the list of the top engineering colleges in India over the next few years.
