I actually came to this course accidentally and I was looking for an architecture course but due to some issues, they allowed me to this course only. Overall I will say before you come to this course do some research about this course on your own because it's all about your interest in this field. The faculty is good and the ratio of faculty: to students is also good. All the faculty is highly qualified and their teaching method is also good. All the exams are conducted on time, and it is not too difficult to pass the term exams. 75% attendance is mandatory to give your term exams.

I choose B.Tech in CSE. The main reason for choosing it was just the placements. Our college really has good placements for the CSE branch. The faculty was upto the mark and the students were amazing and the environment for coding is also good. Semester exams were quite simple and were very frequent.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Because I m highly interested in this field. In our college around 5000 students are there in all courses btech mtech and around 200 professors including the main professor, assistant professor, and associate professor. so it is around 1:25 faculty-to-student ratio. Professors of college are basically divided into 2 groups new professors and old professors. New professors' teaching techniques are good compared to old professors. but old professors are having vast knowledge written many research papers, in international journals. We are having 3 terms of exams every semester. First, after 1 month after the start of the semester mini test contains 10 marks for each subject. then after 2.5 months of the semester, the mid-term exam contains 20 marks and at last, after the 3.5-month end, ter exams contain 60 marks exam and the remaining 10 marks for attendance/assignment. College exams are not much difficult to pass just regular study or even properly attended professor lectures is enough to get a decent cgpa at the semester's end.

First of all, in the range of my rank, this was the best-suited course and college and city as I am also from Bhopal. And secondly, the coding culture is quite good and seniors are very helpful so I will learn programming by taking help from seniors placements are very decent. The faculties are very good. But with some exceptions of course. Some are very good at teaching some are not but overall no one is overburdening students. Almost all the faculties are Ph.D. from iits or nits no one is below that. The term exam is in the month of march due to COVID but generally lies in the month of December and July. Passing exams is very easy. Anyone with just 1 week of preparation can easily get 8 pointers or above.

I was interested in mechanical engineering and due to its good reputation in this branch, I chose it for my admission. Faculty members are highly qualified, and most of them have done PhDs from top IITs. The faculty and student ratio is 20:1. The teaching method of the faculty is quite nice and they provide practical knowledge in depth. Exams are held in 2 months, namely mid-semester and end-semester. Exam questions are relatable to the theory taught in regular classes. The difficulty of exams is normal.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication. I opted for this course as I liked the software field but I also had a keen interest in the electrical spectrum of technology. All the professors are ph.d and there are 20+ professors in the ECE department of MANIT along with ph.d scholars to assist them and also college supporting staff. As the current strength of my batch is about 160 and 20+ the strength of our faculty is 8:1, faculty: student ratio which in my opinion is quite impressive. Term exams are performed at the end of each semester total semesters being 8 with midterms being conducted in the middle of each term. The exams are quite challenging and scoring being CGPA format all depends on outperforming your batchmates. But still, if you put even some notable effort into exams you are not going to flunk and pass with nearly flying colors.

Ques
Which one should I prefer, NIT Bhopal for CSE or NIT Calicut for CSE?

● Top Answer By Vaibhav Patwari on 24 Aug 21

Ans
A friend of mine used to be a student of NIT Bhopal and I can give you some insights based on his experiences. Faculty: In terms of faculty, the less you expect from them the better. You will be entirely left to fend for yourselves. Even if the labs are more or less okay, you will have to approach a faculty for making use of the facilities and learn on your own. Attendance: It is not mandatory for the students to maintain a certain percentage of attendance. Having an attendance of 40-50% would be enough. A lot of the students who were in my friend’s batch completed the program through PDF files. Labs: If you are not smart enough to learn on your own then the labs will not be of much help to you. The scenario is changing now however and the students are being forced to go to the labs.  Projects: If you are passionate about development then it will probably get a huge blow as researches oriented programs are only accepted at NIT Bhopal. The institute wants to publish more and more of its research papers in its name for career development. If you do not submit your research paper at the end of your project, your grades will be negatively affected. Placements: Speaking about the placements, it’s good for CSE. All the cons of the institute do not take a toll on the impressive placement record of NIT Bhopal. Coding culture: The competitive programming at NIT Bhopal will bring you in contact with some of the best coders of the institute. The atmosphere also promotes healthy competition. Apart from all these pros and cons, you will get ample time to prepare for competitive exams like CAT, UPSC, GMAT, GRE, etc.

Ques
Which is better NIT Jamshedpur or NIT Bhopal?

● Top Answer By Shivani Bansal on 09 Apr 21

Ans
One of my friends has graduated from NIT Bhopal and knows the ins and outs of the college. Its infrastructure, its internal politics, quality of education, mess facilities, and against all odds its successful placements record. Apart from just this, there are other factors that make NIT Bhopal more acceptable as compared to NIT Jamshedpur. NIT Bhopal will be a better choice as its reputation is higher than Jamshedpur.  The placements in NIT Bhopal are better than NIT Jamshedpur.  Faculty are experienced in both but I will say NIT Bhopal has its extremity. When we talk about infrastructure NIT Bhopal again wins it here. Against the dilapidated hostels of NIT Jamshedpur is the modest, home-like, hostels of NIT Bhopal with a 24x7 power supply.  Moreover, the mess is the place where half of the major fun takes place.  Discussions, criticizing the teachers and the grading system, curse surprise tests all this amidst “enjoying” the mess food.

Ques
Which one should I choose, NIT Kurukshetra or NIT Bhopal or IIIT Allahabad for an M.Tech in CSE?

● Top Answer By Sritama Ray on 29 Jun 21

Ans
Have known some people who have pursued M.Tech in CSE from NIT Kurukshetra, NIT Bhopal, and IIIT Allahabad. I can say that you can opt for IIIT Allahabad for CSE. Do not choose NIT Kurukshetra. At NIT Kurukshetra the examination cell is not good and placements are average. IIIT Allahabad is better in terms of placements, faculty, exposure, etc. At IIIT Allahabad, top companies like Infosys, Capgemini, Byju’s, Oracle, JP Morgan, TCS, IBM, Amazon, Jaro Education, etc. take part in their placement program. They also have an active coding culture. Particulars NIT Kurukshetra NIT Bhopal IIIT Allahabad Total fees 1.89 Lakhs 1.78 Lakhs 2.6- 6.65 Lakhs Placement percentage 85% 82% 100% Highest salary 28 LPA 22 LPA 1.5 CPA Median salary 6.66 LPA 5.17 LPA 10.4 LPA Average salary 7.4 LPA 8 LPA 12 LPA IIIT Allahabad is a good choice for M.Tech in CSE. You can also go for NIT Bhopal which has a good placement record. But lacks a good teaching-learning process. So, It is suggested you go for IIIT Allahabad, as it will be the best option for you.

Ques
How is Chemical Engineering at MANIT Bhopal?

● Top Answer By Aniket Bose on 17 May 21

Ans
My sister is pursuing her Chemical Engineer at MANIT Bhopal. Here’s her input about the branch.  Compared to other branches, ChemE is new and is not as developed. There a lot of scope for improvement. The work process and management mainly need attention.  They don’t have permanent and good professors of main subjects and most of the classes are taken by the temporary staff. But, they are working continuously to make the environment students friendly. The newly made mass transfer lab in the new premises is good. Otherwise, the old labs hardly have a machine in working condition.  There is nothing sort of academic pressure there and it’s not very difficult to score good marks.  The average salary offered here is 7.57 LPA Don’t expect much from the institute in terms of academics. You have to make the best out of what is offered.

Ques
Which is better: an IT at the IIIT Allahabad, CSE at NIT Rourkela or CSE at MANIT Bhopal?

● Top Answer By Ritesh Agarwal on 11 Mar 21

Ans
One of my friends told me that these three institutes must be in this order like; IIIT A>>> NIT Bhopal>= NIT Rourkela. Although he was a student of NIT Rourkela. He stated that between these three, Rourkela and Bhopal are more or less equal. However, both of these institutes consist of some advantages and disadvantages as well.  If NIT Bhopal is considered and compared with NIT Rourkela, then it must be said that NIT Bhopal's strength is a large batch size; IT+CSE. But the main advantage of NIT Bhopal is the location and nearby airport transport facilities that conceal all the advantages of this institute. For this reason, NIT Bhopal experiences big recruiters every year, and NIT Rourkela misses this entirely. This is the reason why NIT Bhopal is one step ahead of NIT Rourkela. Categories IT at IIIT Allahabad CSE at NIT Rourkela CSE at NIT Bhopal Course Fee 5.41 lakh 6.40 lakh 5.59 lakh Placement Percentage 100% 80% 90% Highest CTC 12-15 LPA 20 LPA 27 LPA Average CTC 4-5 LPA 8-10 LPA 6.5 LPA Recruiting Companies Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Goldman, Nutanix, etc. Microsoft, Dell, PwC, Goldman Sachs, SAP Labs, Analog Devices, Myntra, Amazon, etc. Amazon, Microsoft, Samsung, Capgemini, Deutsche Bank, Barclays, TCS, L&T, C-Dot etc. However, at NIT Rourkela, M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) is almost similar to doing M.Tech in IITs. But in the case of Bhopal, the students can sit for placements for all the big companies in the campus recruitment process along with B.Tech companies. It will be better to avoid IIIT Allahabad for doing M.Tech in CSE, as placement opportunities in this institute are not good. This thing is that IIIT Allahabad does not allow M.Tech students to attend for placement in the on-campus recruitment process. Thus, it can be stated that for the B.Tech course, IIIT Allahabad>> NIT Bhopal> NIT Rourkela.

Ques
Which is the best among NIT Trichy production, NIT Trichy ICE, and MANIT ECE?

● Top Answer By Adhira Samanta on 30 Aug 21

Ans
Since I have friends from NIT Trichy, I can give you an insight into their ICE and Production course. The department of Production Engineering at NIT Trichy is better than ICE because of the following reasons.  The future prospects of Production Engineering are quite better than what usually is in ICE. It clearly translates to Production engineering having greater scopes in terms of placements and higher education. Most essentially, Production engineering, as opposed to ICE, is more flexible toward aspects such as salary packages and different kinds of profiles from one firm to another, as well as fields of study in higher education.   The difference in the academic workload in the 2nd and 3rd years. In a nutshell, Production Engineering comes with a more exposed and forgiving schedule which helps provide an adequate amount of free time out of the routine. In this way, students can pursue extra-curricular interests.  So, Production Engineering is several steps ahead of ICE at NIT Trichy.

Ques
How is the CSE Mtech placement at NIT Bhopal?

● Top Answer By Parveen Sindhu on 23 Mar 21

Ans
At MANIT, CSE and ECE branches have a great placement record. Most IT companies prefer students from this branch. Almost all the companies that come for the UG placement in the placement drive also allows MTech students for interviews.  The only thing you should be knowing is basic aptitude and good English. Also, knowledge about software and computer-related fields is required. At present, CSE is the best branch at the institute. Many MNCs visit the campus and most students get placed. The recent placement statistics for MTech CSE at the institute are as follows. Placement Average  70% Average CTC 4.5 LPA Highest CTC 22 LPA Major recruiters Amazon, TCS Research, SRI Delhi, and Bangalore Finally, if you want to pursue Mtech CSE from NIT Bhopal, don't worry about placement opportunities and work hard on your academics.

Ques
Which is better, a B.Tech. in CSE from MANIT Bhopal or from BIT Mesra?

● Top Answer By Rashika Kejriwal on 15 Apr 21

Ans
Both of these two colleges are tier-1 colleges. You can’t go wrong with either of them. One of my relatives who used to be a student of MANIT Bhopal speaks highly of the institution. According to her, you should prefer MANIT Bhopal to any other institution any day including BIT Mesra too. Don’t take an educational loan to go to BIT Mesra, if you are getting MANIT Bhopal CSE. You can easily get an income-based scholarship at MANIT Bhopal.  At MANIT placement percentage as well as the highest package, both are pretty high. At MANIT Bhopal, the placement percentage goes as high as 98% and the highest package offered this year was around 42 LPA.  Hance, MANIT Bhopal is definitely is a better alternative.

Ques
What should I choose, IIT Mandi or NIT Bhopal (for M.Tech)?

● Top Answer By Aryaa Chatterjee on 16 Apr 21

Ans
It is completely up to you as all institutes have their own set of advantages. As in IIT Mandi, there will be an IIT tag, which will help you gain admission to international institutions. If you really want to work, IIT Mandi is better in terms of academics, as MANIT Bhopal has a very linear M.Tech. Furthermore, everything is dependent on your branch.  Categories IIT Mandi NIT Bhopal Course Fee 40.25 Lakhs 1.78 lakh Placement Percentage 90% 80-85% Highest CTC 13 LPA 12 LPA Average CTC 5 LPA 5.5 LPA Recruiting Companies Google and Microsoft L&T, Deloitte, HP, HCL, etc. In MANIT Bhopal, on the other hand, academics for M.Tech are very light, and you will earn your degree without doing any such work.  If you want to plan for the IES, then this is a good option because there is a Made Simple center in Bhopal and you will have plenty of time. In short, IIT Mandi is better if you want to continue your schooling, but MANIT has an advantage over IIT Mandi if you want to train for competitive exams.

Ques
Which is best: NIT Calicut, NIT Bhopal, NIT Jaipur, or NIT Rourkela?

● Top Answer By Vikas Shankar Nayak on 27 Aug 21

Ans
Honestly, it totally depends on your choice. If you want as per placement rankings then NIT Calicut surely beats NIT Rourkela which in turn is better than NIT Jaipur and NIT Bhopal. As some of my friends studied at NIT Rourkela, I can assure you that the overall campus is improving very fast. Also they offer good placements. Many famous companies are hiring a lot of students now.  If you are seeking a good infrastructure, NIT Rourkela is the best of all NITs.  For overall rankings, you can refer to MHRD, National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF).  Certain departments at NITR leave a lot to be desired, where Calicut has the edge.  All is better than Bhopal and Jaipur in placements though. However, in terms of infrastructure, campus life, hostel life, sports facilities, the overall holistic development of an individual NIT Rourkela is a good option.  Parameters NIT Calicut NIT Bhopal NIT Jaipur NIT Rourkela Tuition Fee INR 16,000 INR 70,000 INR 1.6 LPA INR 7,500 Placement Percentage 73.5% 82% 73.22% 95% Average Package INR 11.57 LPA INR 7.56 LPA INR 8.03 LPA INR 8.75 Placements cannot be the only judging factor. Remember that students from the best departments at all these campuses do land up getting good IT jobs with a decent salary package.
