₹ 47,000I choose to pursue your BTech in computer science and engineering because my passion lies in that moreover in the first year they will be common classes so every branch of students will be sitting together in the same class the class comprises 109 students and they will be separate faculty for different classes. The qualification of faculties is pretty good they have PhD from IITS and many more big institutes. Their teaching style is a bit outdated though.
Read Full ReviewI chose mechanical engineering because I have an interest in robotics and machine learning. And you should choose your branch wisely while entering an engineering college. Our college faculties are good, all the professors are Ph.D. holders, they have a very brief knowledge of the course, and if you stay attentive to the professor, you should not face much difficulty in understanding things.
Read Full ReviewCourse curriculums are designed in such a manner so that they will be student-friendly and according to the industry dynamics, the faculty-student ratio is quite high with the hierarchy of faculty, faculties are highly qualified with decades of experience in teaching and their subject.
Read Full ReviewI choose manit because the academics of manit are good and the society and clubs are also very good and active and have a good alumni base. In the first year for every 100 students, there is 1 professor. And in lab 1 professor and 1 lab assistant for 50 students. In Manit approx. All faculty are Ph.D. holders and some are from IIT. They have 20-25 years of experience In the first year, some faculty members were new and I found it difficult to understand some subjects but they always cleared my doubts. In Manit 3 times exams are conducted in 1 semester so in a year 6 times.
Read Full ReviewI chose CSE which is computer science and engineering, because at that time the job opportunities were better for the IT field as compared to any other core field. Also, I had an interest in computer science from childhood, and most importantly the placements were fairly good for computer science and engineering ads compared to any other college. Faculty: faculty-student ratio is close to 1:70. Which is fairly low but can be considered. Teachers are fairly available, for doubt solving. Teachers are highly qualified at Nit Bhopal, being a settled organization in Madhya Pradesh the quality of education is fairly high as compared to any other local college in that area. Exams were distributed in the pattern of mini, mid-, and end-semester exams. The exams were fairly easy to pass, but yes some professionals make tricky papers as well.
Read Full ReviewI have chosen CSE because it is in most demand in the current era and placement opportunities are also very good and I am interested in coding. In Manit the faculty-to-student ratio is I think 1:50 and all faculty have done their Ph.D. and mtech from reputed colleges such as iits nits etc. The teaching methods are very good some professors teach very innovatively. The exam is always going to be held in a month there is one test and is not so difficult to pass.
Read Full ReviewI want to get into research and explore myself so that's why I chose Chemical Engineering at NIT Bhopal as this college lies in the heart of the city. Student to faculty ratio is quite good as there are 78 students in our branch so teachers can focus on every student. Most faculties have done MTech and Ph.D. from top IITs but their teaching styles are traditional, just write on board on go. But they will support you a lot in side hustles like if you want to start a startup or do research.
Read Full ReviewTerm exams usually occurs three times each semester. Mini mid and end term examination. Mini is quite easy. Mid is a little bit easy side. But end term examination is sometimes very difficult. If if you are decent in studies you can easily score 8.0+ cgpa.
Read Full ReviewI chose Computer science and engineering because of my deep interest in coding and new technologies also the future is all about Computers. The total student intake was 1203. In my section, there are 108 students out of which 20 are girls and the rest boys. After just one month they took mini test. Almost all Faculty have phd degree
Read Full ReviewI chose chemicals because the college has a great reputation and placement in core branches like chemicals also, in orientation chemical engineering they told us how it is a very good and growing field for the future. I am not aware of the exact Student-faculty ratio but it is quite good compared to other state and local colleges almost all facilities that I meet are Ph.D. holders and have great teaching skills There are 3 main exams in a semester mini, mid-term, and final it's easy to pass in all of them because teachers are adjustable except some.
Read Full ReviewA friend of mine used to be a student of NIT Bhopal and I can give you some insights based on his experiences.
Apart from all these pros and cons, you will get ample time to prepare for competitive exams like CAT, UPSC, GMAT, GRE, etc.
One of my friends has graduated from NIT Bhopal and knows the ins and outs of the college. Its infrastructure, its internal politics, quality of education, mess facilities, and against all odds its successful placements record.
Apart from just this, there are other factors that make NIT Bhopal more acceptable as compared to NIT Jamshedpur.
Discussions, criticizing the teachers and the grading system, curse surprise tests all this amidst “enjoying” the mess food.
Have known some people who have pursued M.Tech in CSE from NIT Kurukshetra, NIT Bhopal, and IIIT Allahabad. I can say that you can opt for IIIT Allahabad for CSE. Do not choose NIT Kurukshetra.

IIIT Allahabad is a good choice for M.Tech in CSE. You can also go for NIT Bhopal which has a good placement record. But lacks a good teaching-learning process. So, It is suggested you go for IIIT Allahabad, as it will be the best option for you.
My sister is pursuing her Chemical Engineer at MANIT Bhopal. Here’s her input about the branch.
Don’t expect much from the institute in terms of academics. You have to make the best out of what is offered.
One of my friends told me that these three institutes must be in this order like; IIIT A>>> NIT Bhopal>= NIT Rourkela. Although he was a student of NIT Rourkela.
He stated that between these three, Rourkela and Bhopal are more or less equal. However, both of these institutes consist of some advantages and disadvantages as well.
If NIT Bhopal is considered and compared with NIT Rourkela, then it must be said that NIT Bhopal's strength is a large batch size; IT+CSE. But the main advantage of NIT Bhopal is the location and nearby airport transport facilities that conceal all the advantages of this institute. For this reason, NIT Bhopal experiences big recruiters every year, and NIT Rourkela misses this entirely. This is the reason why NIT Bhopal is one step ahead of NIT Rourkela.

However, at NIT Rourkela, M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) is almost similar to doing M.Tech in IITs. But in the case of Bhopal, the students can sit for placements for all the big companies in the campus recruitment process along with B.Tech companies. It will be better to avoid IIIT Allahabad for doing M.Tech in CSE, as placement opportunities in this institute are not good. This thing is that IIIT Allahabad does not allow M.Tech students to attend for placement in the on-campus recruitment process.
Thus, it can be stated that for the B.Tech course, IIIT Allahabad>> NIT Bhopal> NIT Rourkela.
Since I have friends from NIT Trichy, I can give you an insight into their ICE and Production course. The department of Production Engineering at NIT Trichy is better than ICE because of the following reasons.
So, Production Engineering is several steps ahead of ICE at NIT Trichy.
At MANIT, CSE and ECE branches have a great placement record. Most IT companies prefer students from this branch. Almost all the companies that come for the UG placement in the placement drive also allows MTech students for interviews.
The only thing you should be knowing is basic aptitude and good English. Also, knowledge about software and computer-related fields is required. At present, CSE is the best branch at the institute. Many MNCs visit the campus and most students get placed.
The recent placement statistics for MTech CSE at the institute are as follows.

Finally, if you want to pursue Mtech CSE from NIT Bhopal, don't worry about placement opportunities and work hard on your academics.
Both of these two colleges are tier-1 colleges. You can’t go wrong with either of them. One of my relatives who used to be a student of MANIT Bhopal speaks highly of the institution. According to her, you should prefer MANIT Bhopal to any other institution any day including BIT Mesra too.
Don’t take an educational loan to go to BIT Mesra, if you are getting MANIT Bhopal CSE. You can easily get an income-based scholarship at MANIT Bhopal.
At MANIT placement percentage as well as the highest package, both are pretty high. At MANIT Bhopal, the placement percentage goes as high as 98% and the highest package offered this year was around 42 LPA.
Hance, MANIT Bhopal is definitely is a better alternative.
It is completely up to you as all institutes have their own set of advantages. As in IIT Mandi, there will be an IIT tag, which will help you gain admission to international institutions.
If you really want to work, IIT Mandi is better in terms of academics, as MANIT Bhopal has a very linear M.Tech. Furthermore, everything is dependent on your branch.

In MANIT Bhopal, on the other hand, academics for M.Tech are very light, and you will earn your degree without doing any such work.
If you want to plan for the IES, then this is a good option because there is a Made Simple center in Bhopal and you will have plenty of time.
In short, IIT Mandi is better if you want to continue your schooling, but MANIT has an advantage over IIT Mandi if you want to train for competitive exams.
Honestly, it totally depends on your choice. If you want as per placement rankings then NIT Calicut surely beats NIT Rourkela which in turn is better than NIT Jaipur and NIT Bhopal. As some of my friends studied at NIT Rourkela, I can assure you that the overall campus is improving very fast. Also they offer good placements.
Parameters | NIT Calicut | NIT Bhopal | NIT Jaipur | NIT Rourkela |
Tuition Fee | INR 16,000 | INR 70,000 | INR 1.6 LPA | INR 7,500 |
Placement Percentage | 73.5% | 82% | 73.22% | 95% |
Average Package | INR 11.57 LPA | INR 7.56 LPA | INR 8.03 LPA | INR 8.75 |
Placements cannot be the only judging factor. Remember that students from the best departments at all these campuses do land up getting good IT jobs with a decent salary package.
