What is the Total Score for GRE?
As GRE quant and GRE verbal scores contribute towards GRE total score of GRE General Test, the overall GRE score range happens to be 260-340 (130+130=260 and 170+170=340). GRE maximum score is 170 in each section and GRE minimum score is 130 in each section. The average GRE scores range from 145-155. For GRE subject test, the score range is 200 to 990.
GRE score calculation of the GRE general test process is very complicated, as each of the GRE sections has a raw score, which gets converted into GRE scaled score. The scaled score is used to get the final grade of GRE or the overall GRE score.

The GRE Analytical writing assessment is examined by one highly trained rater on a six-point scale to mark each essay. The essay is again examined by an e-rater®, designed by ETS. After 10 to 15 days of the test, the official GRE scorecards will be available in the ETS account and automatically sent to the selected universities marked on the test day. 10-15 days is the maximum GRE results time – by this time the results get generated unless there are any technical glitches. Candidates need to visit ETS official website and proceed with GRE results login in their ETS account to find out the GRE scores. On this site, the print option is also available for GRE exam results. Candidates can print GRE computer-based test results after saving GRE score report PDF.
GRE score validity is five years from the test date. After these 5 years, candidates cannot use their ETS GRE results. In case of a retake, the date of GRE retake will be considered to calculate 5 years.
The GRE fees include free score sending to 4 universities but the candidates need to include the destinations on the test day. To send GRE scores to more institutes, US$ 27 is applicable for each destination.
The test-takers can cancel GRE scores if they are not satisfied with the score. In this matter, they will have to retake GRE. So, that’s all about GRE score – the candidates need to practice more for GRE to obtain a higher GRE to meet the specific GRE score requirement of globally top universities.
Ans. In case you are enquiring about the CAT percentile let me clarify that ISB Hyderabad does not take into consideration CAT scores. It accepts GMAT/GRE scores only.
