GRE offers a Score-Select option that enables candidates to select a specific score that they want to send to the universities. This is helpful in case of retakes. Test-takers can send GRE scores to 4 universities for free – to be specific, the GRE free score reporting is only for the first 4 destinations is included in GRE fees. During the GRE computer-based test, the candidate has to select up to four recipients. In the case of the GRE paper-based test, the schools have to be selected during the registration time. The universities will not be aware of the other score-sending destinations selected by the candidates. Also, beware of fake GRE score reports as your application might be canceled.
Check: GRE Requirements
There are two questions that bug a test-taker day and night, firstly when the GRE scores will be received, and secondly when the schools will receive these?
The test-takers will receive their scores within 10 – 15 days following their test date. Now, whether the schools will also be able to receive the GRE score reports at the same time is the question. Generally, the schools avail two services: ETS Data Manager Portal and an automated server-to-server feed. Now, ETS Data Manager Portal sends across the scores two times a week: Tuesdays and Thursdays while the automated service is directly linked and sends the score in real-time.
Therefore, if the respective school has an automated service then they can also view the GRE score reports. ETS also offers additional score report promo code that enables organizations to pay the fees on behalf of certain students.

Ans. Of the two entrance exams, GMAT and GRE, the former is a better option. ISB Hyderabad has recently started accepting GRE scores. This doesn’t mean that taking the GRE is a bad idea. Many business schools apart from ISB are now accepting GRE scores. The best part is that ISB won’t be converting your GRE scores to GMAT for comparison during the MBA admissions. GRE is suitable for students who are considering other PG options apart from MBA like MS or MA. For someone who is sure of their career in an MBA, the GMAT is a better choice because GRE is much more dynamic. GMAT shows your commitment to MBA and thereby increases your chances of admission in comparison to GRE which shows that you are open to various options. ISB Hyderabad prefers GMAT over GRE also because the former is a more quantitatively challenging exam than the latter. Certain firms may ask for your GMAT score before shortlisting you for your interview. These include the biggest firms in the corporate world like McKinsey So from these points, we can safely conclude that GMAT is a better option for MBA students provided that you are sure of your course.
