Telangana MBBS Admissions 2023: Eligibility Criteria
The candidates who fulfil the following criteria will be considered for Telangana MBBS Admissions 2023.
- The candidate should be an Indian National or a Person of Indian Origin (PIO)/Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) and must fulfil the local or non-local status in Telangana (residential requirement) as per the rules laid down by the Andhra Government.
- The candidate must have passed 10+2 level examination or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology)/Biotechnology and English.
- OC candidates including those seeking EWS reservation should obtain not less than 50% marks in science subjects.
- BC/SC/ST candidates should obtain not less than 40% marks in science subjects. OC PH candidates should obtain not less than 45% marks in science subjects.
- The candidates must secure marks of cut-off scores or above in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) UG-2023 conducted by NTA.
- The candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on December 31, 2023.

Telangana MBBS Admissions Process 2023
The step-by-step procedure for application is as follows:
- The candidate should fill out the online application form available on the website with the data required through computer/mobile with a data connection. The online application form can be filled out through any computer with an internet connection or mobile with a data connection.
- The candidate is advised to fill out the online application form after going through the prospectus by keeping all the Certificates, Scanned Photo and Signature in the jpg/.gif format separately (as shown below) (step-1) and ready to enter his/her correct data and upload the necessary certificates, photo and signature after the payment of application fee through Online.
- Open the link that appears on the official website when MBBS Admissions 2023 starts and click on the ‘Online Registration’.
- Registration Form appears on which the candidate has to fill up his/her details. After entering details, click on the ‘Validate’ button.
- If all the details you have entered are correct, you will get your ‘Registration Number.’ Please note the ‘Registration Number’ for future reference.
- Then enter the Testing Id and Registration Number for updating the details of the candidate and click on the ‘Validate’ button. The application form will be displayed.
- After filling the form, click on the ‘Save and Exit’ button. This process can be repeated till the data you have entered is correct. Then click on the ‘Save and Pay’ button to proceed for payment.
- Now you will be redirected to the Payment Gateway. Choose your mode of payment and pay the registration fees.
- After your payment is complete, you will receive an affirmation message. Your application process is complete.

- The final merit position of the candidates who have applied online in response to the notification issued by KNR university of health sciences for competent authority quota seats shall be determined by NEET UG-2023 rank and as per their eligibility criteria, applicable regulations, guidelines and reservation policies.
- As per the Medical Council of India, the candidates shall secure a minimum of 50 Percentile for the general category , 40 Percentile for SC/ST/BC category and 45 percentile for persons with disabilities (under general category) in NEET UG – 2023 as per the cutoff scores to be eligible for admission.
- The University will release a final merit list of eligible candidates for exercising web options after verification of uploaded original certificates by the University and officials of concerned departments.
Telangana MBBS Admissions 2023: Counselling Process
- Admission will be based on the scores in NEET UG-2023. Provisional merit lists will be released till all the seats are filled up or till the admission deadline is over. The entire counseling process will be done online.
- The provisional Final merit list will be displayed on the KNRUHS website after scrutiny of uploaded certificates and applications by the candidates. Notification for exercising web options will be issued separately on the KNRUHS website only. No individual communications will be sent. Candidates should check the website regularly for notifications.
- Online application form without uploading mandatory Certificates, Passport size photo, without a signature at the declaration area, incomplete applications will be automatically rejected and will not be considered for determining the Merit position in respective categories using NEET– UG – 2023 Rank.
Telangana MBBS Admissions 2023: Reservation
- Reservation for Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST.): Out of the seats available under competent authority quota for admission by the University, 15% seats shall be reserved for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, 6% of seats shall be reserved for candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes in each local area.
- Reservation for Backward Classes: 29% of the seats available for admission in MBBS/BDS will be reserved for Backward Classes as notified by the Government of Telangana.
- Reservation for EWS category: 10% of the total seats in Government Medical Colleges will be reserved for economically weaker sections (EWS) who are not covered under the existing scheme for SC, ST and Backward Classes.
- Reservation for Women candidates: 331/3% of the seats in government medical colleges are reserved for women candidates in each category. This regulation of guarantee shall not be applicable if women candidates are selected on merit in each category from 331/3% or more of the seats therein.
