Delhi MBBS admissions 2023 begins in the month of October. The admission for Delhi MBBS 2023 will be handled by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Through Delhi MBBS admission 2023, a total of 660 MBBS and 50 BDS seats are available.
DU MBBS admission 2023 will be held for both 15% All India Quota (AIQ) and 85% state quota seats. MCC will release the application form for DU MBBS/BDS 2023. Delhi MBBS Admission 2023: Eligibility Criteria
Education Qualifications: Passing class 12 and qualifying for NEET 2023 is a must for medical aspirants who seek admission in Delhi MBBS and BDS courses. Candidates must also be medically fit to participate in admission.
- Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and English must have been part of the curriculum of the student in class 12 for him/her to be eligible for Delhi MBBS courses.
- Candidates will have to secure the minimum aggregate marks as per their category i.e. 50% for general candidates, 45% for PH students belonging to the general category, and 40% for reserved category candidates.
- Candidates who had previously taken admitted to BDS/ MBBS courses and failed to pass the first-year exams will be considered ineligible for admission to Delhi MBBS and BDS courses
Nativity/ Domicile Holders: Candidates must have passed class 12 from schools situated in Delhi NCR if they seek admission under the 85% state quota. The board of education in class 12 must have been CBSE, ICSE, or JMI.
Nationality: Indian nationals and OCIs will be eligible to apply for MBBS and courses available in Delhi medical colleges
Age: Candidate should have obtained or will attain the age of 17 years as of the 31st of December of the year of admission.
Qualifying Exam
- Students must have qualified/appear in the Class 12 exam under the 10+2 system through CBSE/Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE)/Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), New Delhi, or any equivalent exam from any recognized school located in Delhi's National Capital Territory (NCT).
- Furthermore, medical candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) or Pratachar Vidyalaya will be eligible for DU MBBS admissions.
- To sit for the NEET exam, general applicants must have at least a 50 percent grade point average in Class 12, while SC/ST/OBC candidates must have a 40 percent grade point average. In addition, General PwD (Person with Disabilities) must achieve a 45 percent in 10+2.
Entrance Examination
National Eligibility cum Entrance Test UG entrance test candidates must be qualified. In NEET 2023, general medical aspirants must achieve at least the 50th percentile, while SC/ST/OBC aspirants must achieve the 40th percentile. However, according to the NEET 2023 cutoff, the General-PH must score in the 45th percentile. The table below shows the category-specific cutoff percentiles as well as equivalent marks.
DU MBBS Merit List
Candidates whose applications are accepted will be placed on the DU MBBS 2023 merit list. The DU NEET merit list 2023 will be compiled based on the results of the NEET UG entrance exam. Registration: In order to register for Delhi MBBS admission 2023 will have to provide their contact details and NEET 2023 details in order to register. Candidates will also have to agree to the terms and conditions of Delhi MBBS and BDS admissions in order to register for the choice filling, locking, and counseling process in 2023.
Personal Details: After agreeing to the terms, candidates will have to provide personal, and academic details, and security questions in order to submit and start the procedure. The details filled in the Delhi MBBS and BDS application must be the same as the details of the candidate in the NEET 2023 form. Candidates can then confirm their participation by clicking on the ‘confirm registration’ button. A printout of the form is essential for the future process.
Choice Filling: On completing the Delhi MBBS registration procedure successfully, candidates will be able to see the colleges available. They can select from these colleges and their preferred courses as seats will be allocated to them as per their choice list. The choices can also be changed before each seat allocation round just before locking the choices. However, if the candidates have locked the choices, changes in the choice list will not be permitted.
Payment of Application Fees: After completing the above steps. Candidates will have to pay the Delhi MBBS application fees in order to confirm their participation. An application fee of 1000 INR will be charged to the students of both reserved and unreserved categories.

Delhi MBBS Admission 2023: Counselling Process
- Delhi MBBS counseling 2023 will begin after the announcement of NEET 2023 results and there will be at least 3 central rounds of seat allocation, followed by mop-up rounds in case seats remain vacant at Delhi medical colleges.
