Army Institute of Technology Pune B.E. Admission Process

B.E. aspirants are required to fill in both JEE Mains application form and the form of the Army Institute of Technology. Read on to get more information about the registration and application submission.

JEE Main 2020

The application fee for taking this exam varies with the type of candidature. The application fee for the general category is INR 325. The following section throws light on the requirements and the process of registration for JEE Main.

Documents Required

Scanned and recent photograph coloured or black/white (but clear contrast) JPG/JPEG format. Size should be between 10 kb to 200 kb.
Scanned signature in JPG/JPEG format. Size should be between 4 kb to 30 kb.
Application forms with unclear photographs will be rejected.

How to Register?

Visit the official website of JEE Main and click on “Fill Online Application Form”.
Register by giving the required details, to generate a new user id and password.
The application number will be generated once the details for registration are submitted.
The form requires personal details, address, and mobile number.
You can set your security question and password to access the application for the future.
Submit the application form by logging in with the same user id and password that you had set.

Army Institute of Technology Pune B.E. Applications

The following documents would be required if applying for B.E. admissions:

JEE Main 2020 Admit Card/ Hall Tickets.
Proof of gallantry award (C.T.C. of Part II Order / Citation / Gazette Notification) clearly specifying the Gallantry nature of the award.
Proof of age as in the Mark Sheet of SSC/Class 10/ equivalent examination.
Proof of eligibility in respect of the following categories as applicable:
- Ward of serving Army personnel or of a regular Army pensioner (Submit Certificate No 1).
- Ward of an ex-Army personnel granted pension benefits (Submit Certificate No 1).
- Ward of ex-Army personnel who has taken discharge or released after ten years of service (Submit Certificate No 1).
- Adopted child of an Army personnel (Submit Certificate No 2).
- Ward of Army personnel (Submit Certificate No 2).
- Ward of an ex-AMC/ADC Officer (Submit Certificate No 3).
- Ward of an APS Personnel (Submit Certificate No 3).
- Proof of Ward of War Widow (Battle Casualty Certificate along with C.T.C. of Part II Order (as per Appendix ‘A’).

The placement at the Army Institute of Technology Pune is very good. The companies like Oracle, HSBC, Barclays, OFSS, John Deere, Vodafone, Persistent Systems, 3DPLM visit the campus for placements. There are 300 students in each batch and almost all the students of the college get placed. If you have good and strong knowledge about your core subjects you can also try for off-campus placements at Directi, Microsoft, Saint Gobain, etc. The placement statistics of Army Institute of Technology Pune is as follows: Placement percentage 92% Highest CTC offered INR 39 LPA. Average CTC offered INR 7.30 LPA. Top recruiting specialization IT and Mechanical engineering. Companies like Amazon offered 28 LPA, Goldman Sachs offered 23 LPA and Deutsche Bank offered 20 LPA to the best students of the college.

For IT, AIT Pune is the better option. It offers better placement opportunities. As per the recent placement highlights, AIT Pune highest package is INR 39 LPA. The average CTC stays around INR 7 LPA. Being located in Pune, it also has a locational advantage. It’s easier to get internships and job opportunities.

If your interest lies in the IT field, IIITM Gwalior must be your priority. Ranked 100 for engineering by NIRF in 2020, IITM offers IT as its flagship course. IIITM Gwalior is one of the 3 institutions in India with 100% Ph.D. faculties. The campus is equipped with all the required facilities for the overall development of students. If you are more inclined towards CSE then go for AIT Pune. It is ranked 109 for engineering by NIRF, 2020. AIT has a good faculty-student ratio of 1:14 with highly qualified and experienced faculties. Admission: IIITM Gwalior: Securing the rank within 9713-14442 in JEE Main will fetch admission in the IT department of IIITM Gwalior. OBC (Non-creamy layer) cutoff falls down to 3,800-6,300. The admission process is carried through JoSAA Counselling and CSAB Special Round. IIITM Gwalior offers 262 IT seats with an annual fee of 1,79,317 INR.
