Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I had done BSc hons from the same college in Mathematics. The approximate ratio of student-faculty is 20:1. All the faculties are Ph.D. But the curriculum and teaching method are traditional. Exams were conducted on time.

Remarks:

You have a bachelor's degree with mathematics as a major subject. You can find the application form and other details on the website of the university of Delhi. The reservation benefits are available according to central government rules and regulations. They should make the admission process more smooth.

I had an interest in this course, the ratio goes like 1:6. All of them are well-qualified and have amazing teaching methods. Term exams are in every six months and it is very easy to pass by the previous year's question

Remarks:

It was based on a cutoff system I passed my board exam and got the course based on the cutoff released by the college. If you have reservations you will get some relaxation in fees as well in the cutoff. Now the process has been changed to cuet exam

Course Curriculum Overview:

BA programme course is divided into six semesters. First, two semesters have 2 Discipline specific core subjects, 1 compulsory language paper and an AECC paper. In the 3rd and 4th semesters, AECC is replaced by SEC. In the 5th and 6th semesters, there are 2 discipline-specific elective subjects, 1 SEC and 1 GE. Faculty are highly qualified.

Remarks:

There was no admission test at that time, though now admissions are done by CUET. Admissions were based on marks of 12th boards. Different colleges within Delhi universities release their cut-off marks for different courses and if you clear the cut off then you are eligible for admission. Apart from that you have to submit your documents for verification and pay the required fee timely.

Placement Experience:

The placements are quite good at the college. From semester 5th only your placements get started. All the Big 4 companies visit our college for campus placements. The highest package this year was 22 lakhs. The average package remains to be at 9 lakhs. Almost 90% of students got placed last year.

Remarks:

The maximum cut-off goes for this course and college is 99.75 percent. But from the previous year, DU is conducting CUET for admissions purposes. You can find the details for an application form, application fees, and application dates on the Delhi University website. There is a very slight difference of 1% to your results if you are from any reserved category.

The whole course curriculum is designed very precisely which helps us to cover the majority of the portion of the CSIR NET syllabus for entrance. Faculty members are very cooperative and have excellent knowledge of their subjects.

Remarks:

The eligibility criteria for a master's is we need to have a degree in any biological science course equivalent to 3 years duration. Admission is on a merit and entrance basis (DUET) till 2022 but from this year all admissions will only be entrance based. Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I have to go for the civil examination mostly the students who go for other exams choose this because this course is easy than his course and we can study 3 different core subjects in this course. The faculty is awesome. They are well-educated and behave very nicely. The student ratio is also about 40:60 . Teachers are very very very nice and they are so polite their teaching method is also very cool and calm. Yeah, this is a problem due to covid our term exams were like after 3 months this is very sad. It's easy to pass you can pass by studying one night before the exam.

Remarks:

For taking this course you need to get a high percentage in 12th at my time but now u have to give CUET and get very high marks to get college like mine Hindu college. For the application first clear CUET then fill out DU the form when it is released and get your college. Yes, reservations are available for all like OBC, SC, ST, EES, etc. Already process is improved by the CUET exam

I choose zoology due to the interesting mechanisms present in humans and other organisms. The faculty-student ratio is quite low as a single teacher cannot concentrate on every single student in the classroom.

At my time admission process is purely merit-based and cut off ranges from 97 to 100%. I got admission through the counseling process by nta . Now it is a purely based entrance exam which is a very appreciative step.

Which is a better college Hindu/Hansraj/Ramjas/Miranda House as a whole?

● Top Answer By Anita Roy on 28 Jan 22

Ans
Among these institutes, Hindu College is better. Only SRCC, Stephens, and LSR can be considered in the same league as Hindu. It has a good reputation among recruiters. The placement cell is active and invites many companies to the placement drive. According to the recent placement statistics, the average CTC offered to the students is INR 8.4 LPA.  Hansraj is also a decent option. National Social Service and other clubs are quite active. Miranda House is on the same level as Hansraj in terms of studies. It is more preferred among students since it is situated right next to the metro station.

Ques

Among Hindu, Hansraj, Ramjas and Kirori Mal, which college is best for doing a B.Sc (Maths)?

● Top Answer By Sahil Mishra on 28 Jan 22

Ans
Wait for the cutoff lists to get released. If you clear the cutoff for each of these colleges, then your preference order should be as follows. Hindu>Kirori Mal>Hansraj>Ramjas The required cutoff for North campus colleges is usually higher than the south campus colleges. You can choose the college based on your cutoff.

I am getting Miranda House, Lady Shri Ram, Hindu and Hansraj? Which one should I choose for economics honors?

● Top Answer By Swapnil Mehta on 20 Oct 21

Ans
Among these three, you need to choose between Lady Shree Ram and Miranda as both of them are good colleges. LSR is better than all because of the various factors including the environment, peer groups, events, and many other things.  If you are not a native resident of NCR and there’s a choice between no hostel LSR or the Miranda House with the hostel, then you can opt for the latter as you will get to enjoy and experience the hostel life. If you are unable to get a hostel anywhere then opt for LSR anyway.

Which is better for a BA Hons. Economics Hindu College or Hansraj College?

● Top Answer By Disha Sharma, on 30 Oct 21

Ans
According to the reviews online, several students have preferred Hansraj over Hindu college. They also mentioned some reasons to support the fact. Better Faculty -  Hansraj boasts DSE, Oxford, Nottingham, former IAS as professors.  Some of the best faculty for Economics in DU are professors at Hansraj.  More opportunities -  Hansraj College is bigger than Hindu not only in terms of the number of students but also in courses, which counts for greater exposure and more societies. Higher Studies -  Hans Raj has a record for a maximum number of students to join DSE MA Economics every year.  MA aspirants also find their way to other top schools such as IGIDR, Oxford, LSE, IIMs, etc. Hansraj Economics Council is the leadership body of Hans Raj Economics Society. The structure is such that every student can participate and contribute to the year-long activities of the Society and aspire to join the Council. It is important in 1st year when searching for guidance.

Ques

Which is better for a B.Sc (hons.) in chemistry, St. Stephens College or Hindu College? Please answer with reference to fee structures and teacher

● Top Answer By Ritik Bose on 14 Aug 20

Ans
Below given table shows a comparison between the two of the best colleges under Delhi University to pursue B. Sc (Hons.) in Chemistry. ST. STEPHENS HINDU NIRF RANKING #1 #3 TOTAL FEES (APPROX.) 1.2 LACS 55K ACCREDITED NAAC ‘A’ GRADE NAAC ‘A+’ GRADE Academics: According to previous year, the cut off for admission to Hindu college for B. Sc (hons.) in Chemistry was 96.66% and in St. Stephen's it was 92%. The faculty contingency in both the colleges is very well reputed, dedicated and felicitated having won many recognitions to their name. It is not justified to distinguish between the teachers as all are almost at par with academic qualifications, achievements but are restricted by curriculum and different teaching patterns. Both the colleges organize national conferences and workshops for the holistic development of the students and to gain industry exposure. Placement Opportunities: The key feature which sets Stephen's apart is that when it comes to applying abroad for higher studies or internships or fellowship programmes, a lot of graduates have had the opportunity to do so owing to the scholarships and collaborations with foreign universities like Oxford, Yale and Cambridge. It has a more disciplined and rigorous and calm aura about itself not being as actively a part of the very famous DU fests as compared to other colleges. There are many ongoing research projects funded by SERB and UGC. Top recruiters being Hetero drugs, Emami, Homi Bhaba Centre for Science Education, BCG etc. offering a median salary of around 9LPA. In the Hindu college, the median salary package for B. Sc in Chemistry at offer was 5LPA and average placement rate was low as most of the graduates sought to opt for higher studies. The top recruiters were DE Shaw, KPMG, IndiaBulls amongst others. Organizations like Empower India, Philip Morris International, Outlook rolled out internship opportunities too.
