IIIT Naya Raipur B.Tech Admissions 2023 are ongoing. IIIT Hyderabad Btech admission 2023 is based on JEE Main score followed by JoSAA counseling. JoSAA 2023 schedule is also out and the registration process will start from June 19. Check IIIT Naya Raipur Admission 2023

IIIT Naya Raipur offers admission in B.Tech courses in 3 different disciplines, B.Tech (ECE), B.Tech (CSE), and B. Tech. (Data Science & Artificial Intelligence) with each having a total intake of 60 seats. 35% Seats to the eligible candidates are allocated on the basis of JoSAA counselling. 15% seats in IIIT Naya Raipur are reserved for people employed in NTPC and 50% seats are reserved for students who have passed class 10 & 12 from Chattisgarh. Seats under All India Quota will be filled through JoSAA counselling and hence applicants need to apply on JoSAA official website. Seats under Chhattisgarh State Quota and NTPC Quota will be filled through the institute’s own online counseling process.

IIIT Naya Raipur B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

Admissions under All India Quota, Chattisgarh State Quota and NTPC Quota are granted on the basis of JEE Main rank. Further, IIIT Naya Raipur accepts admission to B.Tech program on the basis of following criteria, check below:

All India Quota - Eligibility will be as per the rules of JoSAA.
Chhattisgarh State Quota - Applicants who passed both class 10 & 12 and 12 from schools of Chhattisgarh are eligible. Candidates must have scored 50% aggregate marks in Physics and Mathematics (45% for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD candidates) in their 12th standard examination. The reservation for candidates belonging to SC, ST and OBC categories shall be as per Chhattisgarh Government norms.
- Women – 30%
- Children of Ex-Servicemen – 3%
- Children or Grandchildren of Freedom Fighters – 3%
- Persons with Disabilities – 5%
NTPC Quota- Candidates employed with NTPC or their wards belong to this category. Those candidates must have scored 50% aggregate marks in Physics and Mathematics (45% for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD candidates) in their 12 standard examinations.

Age Criteria

Candidates born after October 01, 1992 are only eligible to apply for this program. A relaxation of 3-years is also applicable for candidates belonging to for reserved category.

IIIT Naya Raipur B.Tech Admission Criteria

IIIT Naya Raipur offers admission to the B.Tech program under All India Quota, Chhattisgarh quota, and NTPC Quota. All India quota admissions are done on the basis of rank secured in the JEE Main examination followed by JoSAA counselling. 35% Seats are reserved for all India quota students.15% seats in IIIT Naya Raipur are reserved for people employed in NTPC and 50% seats are reserved for students who have passed class 10 & 12 from Chattisgarh. Registration process for Candidates applying via JoSAA

Candidates seeking admission under All India Quota must apply through JoSAA. Admission under different categories is based on the JEE Main rank. Students can follow the procedure given below to apply for IIIT Naya Raipur:

Visit JoSAA website for registration i.e. josaa.nic.in.
Fill the JoSAA form by providing the preferred selection of colleges and courses.
JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) will conduct counselling for the candidates who have qualified JEE Main.

Note: The counselling procedure is based on the merit of the candidate in the written exam and the options filled by the candidates at the time of online option filling.

Registration process for Candidates applying via Chhattisgarh quota and NTPC Quota

Under NTPC and Chattisgarh Quota students can apply through the institute’s online portal. Applications can be made in online mode only by paying a non-refundable counseling fee of INR 300.

IIIT Naya Raipur B.Tech Counselling Process

JoSAA Counselling

JoSAA will conduct seat allocation procedure for the academic programs offered by 92 JEE Main Participating Institutes. The authority releases multiple merit lists in order to complete the seat allotment process. Once the seat allocation is complete, students seeking admission to IIIT Naya Raipur need to confirm their seats.

Candidates can confirm their seats to IIIT Naya Raipur by following the given procedure:

Visit JoSAA official website.
Login to your JoSAA account by providing correct credentials.
If you are offered a seat at IIIT Naya Raipur, choose to freeze the seat by paying the acceptance fees.
Make a payment of INR 15,000 (For reserved categories)/ INR 35,000 (For General category) by any of the following methods of SBI ie. Online Banking / Debit Card/ E-Challan.
After successful documents verification, contact the admission authority of IIIT Naya Raipur within 10 days of seat allotment for admission formalities.

Counselling for Chhattisgarh quota and NTPC quota

Candidates qualifying the above-mentioned norms of seat allocation in Chattisgarh Quota and NTPC quota have to register themselves at the Institution website.

Once, registration is done, candidates have to appear in the seat allotment process. Candidates who will be allotted the seat in the first round of seat allotment have to have to report at their nearest center for document verification. At the time of document verification, students have to present all the required documents mentioned below, original with a photocopy.

Applicants failing to secure a seat in the first round of seat allotment, have to wait for the second merit list.

When it comes to choosing between IIIT-NR and NIT Raipur, it's recommended to go with NIT Raipur for the following reasons:

IIITs are undoubtedly among the best institutions in the country for providing ECE and CSE courses. However, IIIT-NR is a relatively new and small college with a smaller college strength.
IIIT-NR lacks well-established clubs, committees, and Training and Placement offices, which can be a disadvantage for students.
On the other hand, NIT Raipur is an old and established college with strong alumni support, numerous events, and a well-equipped Placement cell. Being a part of cultural, technical, or managerial events can help students enhance their skills and network with industry experts.
While NIT Raipur may appear old and dusty, it has a proven track record of successful placements and a sure future for its students.
It's always better to go for a sure future than to take a risk with a not-so-sure future.

Therefore, if you have the choice between IIIT-NR and NIT Raipur, it's recommended to choose NIT Raipur for a better chance at a successful career.

IIIT Naya Raipur is better than NIT Raipur, in terms of infrastructure, curriculum, and facilities. The institute follows a more subject-oriented curriculum in which unnecessary subjects aren’t included. You will study the core subjects from the first year itself. IIIT Naya Raipur has an active coding culture as well.

The institute has had an impressive placement record over the last few years. According to IIIT Naya Raipur placements of 2021, the average and highest CTC offered were INR 20 LPA and INR 43 LPA, respectively.

Among IIIT Naya Raipur and IIIT Vadodara, the former is much better than the latter.
IIIT Naya Raipur has its own campus, including well-maintained academic blocks, hostels, canteen, and other facilities.
IIIT Vadodara does not have a permanent campus yet.

Academics: IIIT Naya Raipur has a better-advanced curriculum. It is designed to prepare students for competitive examinations like GATE, CAT, etc.

Placements and Alumni:

As IIIT Vadodara is a little older than IIIT Naya Raipur, they have a little bit of reach when it comes to placements and alumni.
But IIIT Naya Raipur being a new establishment has also caught the attention of many top recruiting companies.

Coding Culture: Both are equal here. Guidance is not provided by the colleges. Students take the initiative to build themselves up.

The following answer to this question will enlist some facts to the students. Among the IIITs, as mentioned above, are completely new, so they still not have alumni networks.

The course offered by these institutes is the best if you want to learn or do research in the future. But if placements are considered, IIIT Lucknow and IIIT Naya Raipur are still lagging far behind than NIT Raipur, a well-established institute among the two IIITs.

NIT Raipur has an infinite alumni network. Companies like Oracle, Microsoft, Amazon make a regular visit to complete their recruitment process with CTCs of 8+ LPA, specifically for the CS and IT students.

The biggest cons of NIT Raipur is its Hostel, as only 30% of students here take hostel accommodation, and the rest 70% find PGs, rent houses, or flats for their accommodation.

Another disadvantage of this institute is the outdated syllabus of NIT Raipur, along with the grading techniques.

Therefore the choice is obvious. If a student is interested in carrying on higher studies, they can go for IIIT Naya Raipur. It is well-established and has a permanent campus. But, IIIT Lucknow is carrying out its administration as a temporary campus.

Besides, if you want placement immediately after completing your studies, you must choose NIT Raipur.

Yes, you can change your branch after the first year. IIIT Raipur has such provision for students.

In IIIT Raipur there are two branches CSE and ECE and a changing branch from CSE to ECE is easy and common.
Most of the students change their branch from CSE to ECE. There are four-five seats in CSE and six-seven seats more likely vacant.
You can change your branch before the beginning of the 3rd semester.
The process of branch change allotments based on the merit list. If you have a high CGPA then you will get preference.
The number of seats also depends on the available seats, from the previous year's admission and students who left the seat.

Therefore, you need not worry about branch change. Because many students change their branch after the first year. Its process is also easy, but branch allotment solely depends on the number of vacant seats and your CGPA.

One of my friends studied at IIIT Naya Raipur, so in the following, some points are highlighted considering this institute.

Growth: Their laboratory infrastructure is well-furnished and provides all the basic facilities to the students, including high-speed internet. The campus is very peaceful and safe. All research projects, workshops, E-cells events and seminars are continuously conducted here. These help this institute to grow quite rapidly.
Placement: My friend once told me that one of his seniors had secured AIR 11 in GATE; however, he is now pursuing M.Tech studies at Cornell. The achievements of the student’s project have a growing prospect for this institute. As it is guided by IIIT Hyderabad, the median salary is higher than the other institutes of India.

Faculty: Director of this institute has a Doctoral Degree (PhD) from Tokyo University. One of the professors, Mr Ramakrishna Bandi, achieved a PhD from IIT Roorkee and followed Post-Doc from IIT Bombay.
Food: Mess foods here are homelier than the other institutes. It is less oily. However, the good thing is that the mess committee takes the student’s opinion and tries to make food as per their preferences. Thereby, a student can try to be the mess committee member, but it is not compulsory at all; they can be on the side with someone who is already the member.
Hostel: Hostels here are cleared every day. Students will get a room with a bed, a cupboard, mattress, a desk, a chair, along with all the necessary stuff. Students have to pay meagre maintenance fees for their hostel accommodation. The hostel staff are amicable and provide low-rate laundry services to the students, but the students can also pay to use the washing machines at the shopping complex.

So, it is suggested that you go for IIIT Naya Raipur, because it will provide you with all the necessities required for a student in their daily life.

In the given three colleges, IIIT Naya Raipur is the best. Comparing such an institute on the basis of whether students choose that particular college over the other would be wrong. IIIT NR can be described in three phrases: fast-paced, project-based, and pioneering. Choosing which college over the other can be your choice. But why you should choose IIIT Naya Raipur to have some reasons: IIIT Naya Raipur has its own campus. Among all the new IIITs and NITs, it has the best course structure. The institute is equipped with all the facilities that are required for the successful completion of the graduation. From labs to classroom and auditorium to sports club everything is super cool. IIIT NR has most of the faculties with immense experience in their field. They are so helpful and always guide you at each level of your course. It is the first institute in Central India that has introduced Data Science and AI in B.Tech. The institute is located 25km away from Raipur city. You’ll be close to the railway station though. So, there are no transport issues. The institute gives you better exposure than any other new NITs. You will learn, grow and enjoy your campus life thoroughly. Nowadays people prefer NITs mainly because of their NIT tag. But in reality, IITs are institutes of national importance and should not be underestimated. Besides they focus solely on the field of Information Technology. Two other reasons why IIIT Jabalpur is a better option than NIT Jalandhar are:
