What should I opt for, lllT Naya Raipur or NIT Raipur?

When it comes to choosing between IIIT-NR and NIT Raipur, it's recommended to go with NIT Raipur for the following reasons:
- IIITs are undoubtedly among the best institutions in the country for providing ECE and CSE courses. However, IIIT-NR is a relatively new and small college with a smaller college strength.
- IIIT-NR lacks well-established clubs, committees, and Training and Placement offices, which can be a disadvantage for students.
- On the other hand, NIT Raipur is an old and established college with strong alumni support, numerous events, and a well-equipped Placement cell. Being a part of cultural, technical, or managerial events can help students enhance their skills and network with industry experts.
- While NIT Raipur may appear old and dusty, it has a proven track record of successful placements and a sure future for its students.
- It's always better to go for a sure future than to take a risk with a not-so-sure future.
Therefore, if you have the choice between IIIT-NR and NIT Raipur, it's recommended to choose NIT Raipur for a better chance at a successful career.
If you are anyhow hesitant about choosing between IIIT Naya Raipur and NIT Raipur, choose IIIT Naya Raipur. NIT, Raipur is basically 10 years old but it still has not obtained its own building.
IIIT-NR - Advantages:

- Besides, the Acting Director of IIIT Naya Raipur is also the Director of NIC, and is inherently from IIT-K. If you did not know, the board members consist of Scientific advisors to the PM.
- The best and foremost factor to consider is that the professors are IIT graduates and most of them have PhDs.
- Not only that, the institute has the infrastructure known to be one the best in India.
- NTPC has put its hand out to provide Rs. 200 crore for the development of IIIT-NR. It also has collaboration with IIIT-Bangalore, which is again another leading innovative college in India. In fact, IIIT-NR is the biggest dream project of the Chhattisgarh Government.
