Yes, they are good like they help us for getting placements. They have done more PhDs. Choosing Reva college is best in my way. The CDC people and other staff are where friendly to the students. The better course is to take CS&IT compared to CSE.

I chose computer science and engineering because it is the future of the industry. So many opportunities in that field. There are n members of faculty available. Each student has been allocated a mentor. Many teachers are Ph.D. holders and we'll be trained. We have 2 IA and the sem will be finished in 5 months. Exams are moderate.

I choose this course because AI&ML is the future and we need to learn new tech to be ready for the industry as soon as we get out of college, the faculty-student ratio is good I do not know the exact numbers, but I did not a fell issue in the ratio anytime through my five sems, all the faculty are well qualified, Ph.D. holders and few of them even have industry experience. As we were in covid times in my 1st and 2nd sem I did not get much time to study felt difficult but manageable. Now it is normal as it was before covid.

I was keen on computer studies and wanted to focus on a singular path, hence I chose BCA. Faculty are quite experienced and are engaging with students. They can easily manage to teach 100 students in a class. All the faculty members are quite experienced in their domain or their subject. And they teach their topics in a practical way, which makes them easier to understand. The exam and the passing ratio depend upon the time you give on that subject. It just depends on how well you grasp the Knowledge. I would say the difficulty level was medium in my context.

REVA University: 35 answered questions

Ques
How is Reva University in Banglore for B.Tech?

● Top Answer By Prarthana Gupta on 04 Oct 21

Ans
Your chances of growth get lowered at Reva University. If you have a good rank, consider other colleges. The university has invested a lot in marketing and that is why there’s hype outside.  Opt for colleges that have a lot of clubs and committees and focus gives importance to cultural activities as well. REVA University lacks this. This will not only develop your personality but also improves your CV. It is a deemed university and the curriculum is not much updated. You will get less opportunities at the university The student crowd is not good, and the people of the college are not cooperative at all. Categories REVA University Course Fee 2.25 lakh (1st year) Highest CTC 10 LPA Average CTC 4 LPA Recruiting Companies TCS and Infosys If you take admission here, you will regret your decision for sure. This is coming after all the frustration of the students due to lack of exposure, and the education it failed to provide.

Ques
What is the ranking of REVA University?

● Top Answer By Samrat Kumar on 04 Oct 21

Ans
My cousin is an alumnus at REVA University. According to him, it is just another average university. Being a new university, most people are not aware of its presence.  REVA University has excellent campus facilities and it offers a calm environment. The faculty members are well-qualified and average in terms of teaching. Branches like CSE have an industry-oriented syllabus and you will be offered great exposure. Karnataka State Universities Rating Framework (KSURF) has ranked universities on various parameters. Among the young universities, REVA University has been ranked at 3rd position in Karnataka. It is ahead of Presidency University and Dayananda Sagar University.

Ques
Which college is better, HKBK or Reva University?

● Top Answer By Ronit Roy Singh on 21 Apr 21

Ans
If there is one word to be spared, then it is above average. I know a few people from the institute and have received a mixed opinion from them. The pros and cons of the institute are as discussed below.  Pros: The campus is amazing. The senior faculty is renowned among students. You can rather get somewhat good laboratories as well which are maintained in pristine condition. At the most, there are different events going on throughout the year. Cons: The institution is quite a bit overcrowded. The hostel services are deemed to be bad and pretty much expensive as well. When paying the fees, it becomes troublesome. The campus is located at a very remote location which makes it difficult for students to finally reach there.  Alongside all of that, if you study well, you will get good placements. Hope this helps.

Ques
How is the placement at Reva University?

● Top Answer By Tania Rai on 04 Oct 21

Ans
Joining REVA University through COMED-K or management quota is a complete waste of money. You will be paying 3.5 lakhs per year which is not worth it. You will get many better colleges. If you are considering it via CET, I would suggest you not opt for the university. Try for other better colleges. The college does not publish its placement reports on its website because it is not good. You can ask about it from the seniors of the college and you will find out that only 20-30% of the students get placed. The teaching faculties are mostly freshly M.Tech passed out students and hence, lack experience. The student intake for B.Tech is 3000-4000 students in every batch which is way higher when compared to other colleges which usually have an intake of around 900 students.

Ques
How is the hostel life at Reva University Bangalore?

● Top Answer By Dharam Kumar on 13 Oct 21

Ans
Basically, the hostel of Reva University is almost the same as that of any other college but there are some additional features as well.  There are plenty of rooms with a separate boys and girls hostel.  Some rules are there that need to be followed strictly and since the list is very long so sometimes students break them.  Also, exit and entry times for girls have to be recorded regularly and after some time girls and boys cannot roam around the campus together.  There is a separate mess for girls and boys, the food is also not too good but if you have ever spent your life in the hostel, you will be acclimatized to the situation.  There is a food court near the canteen from where you can buy the eateries till 8 pm. There are several shops also providing fast foods and bakery items.  The next thing is that the college has a functional and well-equipped library that is open till 12 midnight and 7 days.  Thus, we can conclude that the college is slowly and steadily taking its place in the heart of the students by improving certain things. Otherwise, the resources are there, the only thing you need to do is utilize them properly.

Ques
What is REVA University like?

● Top Answer By Manish Gupta on 04 Oct 21

Ans
According to some of the reviews, I read online about REVA University, it is not a good university. I would suggest you reach out to the alumni or seniors of the college, as they can provide you with the intricate details.  REVA University is a new university and not as good as VTU. It is not so tough to score marks at the university however, I would suggest you think twice before drawing out a conclusion regarding admission into the university.  The management is poor and only focuses on marketing and publicity and not on the academics and quality of faculty members. Categories REVA University Course Fee 2.25 lakh (1st year) Highest CTC 12 LPA Average CTC 5-6 LPA Recruiting Companies TCS, Tata Steel, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The placements here are also average. It is suggested that if you want to learn about your course, do not join REVA, as the academics and faculty are not up to the mark. They often leave most of the studying to the students, instead of helping them understand the concepts.

Ques
How is Reva University Bangalore for a CSE, in terms of academics, hostel and placements?

● Top Answer By Vishal Kumar, on 03 Nov 21

Ans
One of my friends studied at REVA University. According to him, CSE here is really good and has a great reputation. Here are some facts about it. The academic curriculum is really good and updated to match modern standards. The faculty is very helpful and cooperative. They groom you to become industry-ready.  Hostels are clean and well furnished. They are also provided with facilities like Wifi, Gym, laundry, etc. Placements are also good. Several top MNCs like TCS, Wipro, Tech Mahindra participate in the placement program. Categories CSE at REVA University Course Fee 15.80 lakh Placement Percentage 80-90% Highest CTC 25 LPA Average CTC 3.5-4 LPA The student intake here is very high. They take around 3500-4000 students per year in B.Tech which in other colleges is 900 students. If you are joining here through COMED-K or through management quota, then look for other options, as the money you will invest in it will not be worthy.

There is no particular dress code in REVA University Bangalore. Students are supposed to put on decent clothing and nothing very extravagant. The Mechanical and Civil Engineering department has a dress code for the lab. On Wednesday everyone should wear organic T-shirts.
