Read Full ReviewThe course electrical and electronics engineering is considered as one of the most difficult engineering branches. I have chosen this course at my own interest. This course prepares us to do stuffs based on circuits and electricity. The frequency of exam is very high. A semester duration is 6 months but the sem doesnot offer this much time we have to learn this 6 month course in 3 months therefore the teaching is faster

And I'm proud to say that electrical engineers are the first to invent programming language and even computers for computer science students. Even though the course is maintained by University which is not located in this college is fine

Read Full ReviewBoth the Cochin University of Science And Technology (CUSAT) and Federal Institute of Science And Technology (FISAT) are very good institutes and have almost similar rankings in the state of Kerala. Now you can compare both the institutes on various parameters. I have taken two broad and the most popular parameters for this comparison.
Placement - In this regard, the School of Engineering (SoE) of CUSAT is better than FISAT. According to the recent placement statistics, the average and highest CTC offered at CUSAT is 4 LPA and 15 LPA respectively. Cochin University College of Engineering Kuttanad (CUCEK) campus of CUSAT is also similar to SoE in terms of placements.
Infrastructure - Here FISAT takes an upper hand and has better facilities than both SoE and CUCEK. SoE is slightly good and is comparable to FISAT but CUCEK lacks a lot of facilities compared to both.
So it totally depends on you and what your priorities are. If you only aim for placements then choose CUSAT. If you want good infrastructure, then FISAT is preferable.
It entirely depends on the branch that you are choosing. If you go for CSE then all the colleges SCT, RAJAGIRI, FISAT, SCMS have good placements opportunities. But in the case of other branches, Kerala colleges have a low level of placement except for NITs and IITs.
Good placements are available only for software firms and not for your core jobs. All the colleges above are good and will help you to attain the skills required for different jobs. And everything depends on you how much effort you will give to your course so that you can obtain experience as well as knowledge so that you can get a good job apart from your college placements
The E&I department at FISAT is an exceptional one. I have a friend who attended the institute and here’s what he had to say about it. If you have a general idea about instrumentation and are determined regarding it in the future then FISAT would be the best fit for you.
Overall FISAT will give you a great college life and good facilities.
SCT Trivandrum, FISAT, Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology, and SCMS are among the most sought after colleges in Kerala for engineering. SCT comes in the top 3 engineering colleges in Kerala. Whereas, RSET, and FISAT are ranked at 83, 105 by The Week 2020. SCMS has NAAC ‘A’ Grade accreditation.
