I applied for rajagiri i dint get rajagiri because i dint have enough marks for keam and comparing fisat with rajagiri fisat gives more freedom than rajagiri the eligibility for getting into fisat is you have 3 options you could enter fisat by merit, management,NRI quotas if you wants to enter fisat in merit quota thn u should write keam and have good grade i got around 30000 rank in keam thats why i got in this college and the fee i pay is 93000 the fee that a management students should pay is 1,30,000 including all fees and NRI is 200000 the last year cutoff for electrical engg in fisat was 33000 this year i think its less and i got around 278 marks out of 500
The curriculm is too tough for a person the ktu has shorten the sem now only 4-5 months per sem this makes students too diificult to study and there are lab exams also thats is also too difficult the lab assistants are some times too cruel they would not give us mark that easily Though the syllabus is too tough it helps students to overcome challenges in life out of 100 around 80 people who are studying ktu syllabus have backlogs this survey was conductes last years this shows the difficulty of studying ktu syllabus The exam timing are almost 2-3 hours it depend on the subjects most people drop engineering because of this Out 10 i would rate the difficulty of ktu syllabus as 8
Students become eligible after 3rd year for campus selection around 10-15 companies are there in fisat for electrical departments . Out of 60 around 30 get placed every year the core companies which come are very less last year only 1 student got placed only Infocys, ibm, tata, uts global ets are companies which come to our college every year for placement The highest package over here starts from 5lakhs every year only few students get placed in core companies In EEE only 60 percentage of students get placed and rest 40 doesnt get placements they doesnt get placed due to backlogs and all. My plans after the degree are i would like to take further education in canada and all most of the people go outside the country for further education
I have got admission in fisat by writing keam so if you want to study in fisat using merit you have to write keam else you could join in management quota the regular fee that a merit student should pay is 93,000 including lab fee develpoment fee etc. And i have heard if you want to stay in hostel you would need to pay extra 30,000.The management quota starts with 1,30,000 and NRI quota starts with 2,00,000. If the required amount is unpayable for you then you could pay the amount sem wise that is i am a merit student so if i am unable to pay 93000 the i can pay half the amount in first sem and the other half the second sem
Arise,V fiesta, aranghu, iedc and all are the technical fests held in this college bharatam is the college fest this occurs in the college ever 2 years and technical fest occurs every alternate months Fisat has the ernakulams first digital library there are various types of books available in library the atmosphere over there is so good There are sports event in fisat every year last year there was no sports event due to college fest and all there are various type of events such as long jum high jump cricket football short put etc There are no social groups and clubs in fisat they are not run by the govt
The faculties are nice they take good care of us some faculties help us in studies they are always helpful in all other ways i liked Anoop sir he takes eng graphics he is kind and always helpful even if we fail in exams he encourages us to study and all the faculty The faculty i dint like is eldose he gave us few question to study at the end of exam and said only these question would only come and all he was completely helpless for us and because of him i got a supply in chemistry The course i took is too difficult its electrical one of the toughest course of all engineering the course is 4 year course and around 8 sem it takes around 48 papers in my class for first sem out of 65 . 45 students passed all the other 30 were failed for more than 2 or more subjects they say around 60percent passed and rest 40 fails every year in elctrical engg
The cource i have selected is going to develop in future actually . VLSI - very large scale integration is going to give a large impact on the future generation and very easily in handling the hardwares .
Computer science is the most relevant course in todays World.. And im glad that i had the opportunity to study computer science.. And im grateful for studying under ktu. ..... One of keralas biggest..
There is a great placement oppurtunity in ourcollege during 4th year there are campus interviews , placements and training sessions.etc . Try to do internships or courses which enhances your skills. Around 50% students passed got placements , the average packages are 4-6 Lpa . after getting degree i wouldlike to work for some time or go for MBA in IIM.
The MEC course curriculum is comprehensive and relevant, covering core engineering principles and practical applications. It prepares students well for real-world scenarios and further studies. Improvements could include more flexibility for emerging technology.
Campus placements are there in the college IBM, Mitsubishi, many robotics startups has been part of the process I am missing some of the companies... But like most of the students gets placed and 3/4 courses has NBA accreditation so it has international validity.
Students are eligible for placements from the 6th semester onwards. I don't about any companies or their offers since I am new to the campus. Most of the students who complete the courses are placed. One of my distant relative also studied here and is now settled in Austria. I am planning on doing by Mtech after this degree.
The chairman of the college has his own company so they give placements for those who passes and also there are also external companies for interviews for the placement . The will provide offer letters
