Personal opinion on federal institute of science and technology
Likes
- The campus is very neat and clean, it is situated in a peaceful and scenic place
- The infrastructure is very good, the college itself looks like an old palace and is made in a perfect symmetry
- The placement statitics of the college is high compared to other colleges with an average package of 5.17 lakhs per annum
- The faculties are very supportive and the institution organises several programmes like techfests, workshops, sports and culturals
Dislikes
- The faculties are strict compared to other colleges(but it is a benifit for us, it helps us to score more)
- The campus is situated far away from angamaly (like about 8kms away)
- The quality of food from the hostel mess will be decreasing day by day(like every hostel)
Remarks :
I have put this college as my 2nd option, i have chosen RSET as my first option. I got fisat as i didnt have much rank in order to get into rset, also the fees in rset is much higher compared to fisat. The exams accelted are mainly keam and jee, also there is management and nri quoata The overall admission procedure is faster and efficient
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course electrical and electronics engineering is considered as one of the most difficult engineering branches. I have chosen this course at my own interest. This course prepares us to do stuffs based on circuits and electricity. The frequency of exam is very high. A semester duration is 6 months but the sem doesnot offer this much time we have to learn this 6 month course in 3 months therefore the teaching is faster
Placement Experience :
From semester 7 onwards placement procedure starts But we students get placement training from semester 3 onwards A lot of companies visits our college Infact fisat is one of the private college with the highest average salary package at 5.17 lakhs per annum with highest 17 lakh per annum Almost 95 percentage students with no present backlogs gets placed during the placement process I also wish to get placed in a company with a decent package
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The yearly fee for a student is 93500 which includes 75000 base fee along with examination fee, value added courses, pta fund etc If a person got admission from NRI quota he should like more than others (1.4lakh per year approx) Students with lower entrance rank have special fee discount
Campus Life :
There are lot of programmes, tech fests and workshops happening in our college, most of these occur in 4th quarter of the year The main attractive event is bharatham which occurs only in a couole of years The library in fisat is one of the best It have so much books and a peaceful environment All classes are technologically advanced and very big There is also very good support to extra curricular activities including sport Our college teams have secures so much medals and trophies
Hostel Facilities :
There are 2 hostels for boys the main hostel and the pg hostel, the firsr years are staying in pg hostel and will get shifted to main hostel when they reach 2nd year in a room there are three people The hostel menu is good but the quality and taste of food is depressive(like every hostel) You can register to hostel via college portel or direct contac, the hostel rent is 30000 per annum, the mess fee will change according to our attendence with an average fee of 3500 per month The college is situtated in mookkannoor if you want to take a pg
Faculty :
There are many faculties in the college, the faculty to student ratio is very high. Most of the faculties are very supportive and care for us. In a semester there are 2 series exam. These series exam are pretty easy compared to the university exam yet some of the students fail in these.

The course curriculum in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness is a fine one the previous semester where little short due to the corona virus The 2nd semester was only around 3 months which was quite struggling

Placement Experience :
Placements happen in last semester of college. All students as of the current 2020 batch have a mandatory bond of 3 years to serve in ISRO organisations. From 2021 batch onwards, all companies are allowed to recruit from campus and there is no mandatory bond. companies visited include: ISRO DRDO HAL Mercedes benz Intel HP Skyroot Aerospace Garuda Aerospace etc. I plan to join DRDO as Scientist-C after completion of my degree

Course Curriculum Overview :
Nice course. I chose electrical and electronics engineering. And I'm proud to say that electrical engineers are the first to invent programming language and even computers for computer science students. Even though the course is maintained by University which is not located in this college is fine
My review on FISAT
Placement Experience :
The placemnlents offers our college are very high compared to other privates engineeeing college with an average annual package of 5.17 lakhs per annum There are many recruiter visiting the college which includes core and top tier companies. almost every person without a backlog is able to get one offer from the recruiters ,the highest package was above 17 lakhs in the previous year I am trying hard to get placed from the college with a decent amount of salary and if i am not satisfied i will pursue mtech

Placement Experience :
Campus placements are there in the college IBM, Mitsubishi, many robotics startups has been part of the process I am missing some of the companies... But like most of the students gets placed and 3/4 courses has NBA accreditation so it has international validity.
