Kumaraguru College of Technology Admission
Kumaraguru College of Technology admission for all courses are done based on merit and the marks scored on the respective entrance exam. The BE/ BTech programs are based on JEE Mains or TNEA score, the ME, MTech, MBA, and MCA is based on TANCET or GATE scores, and the PhD programs are based on the national level entrance exam followed by Personal Interview. For TNEA, the candidates who have passed class 8-12 are eligible to apply and should be between 17-25 years of age. For TANCET MBA, the candidates must have completed their graduation. For TANCET MCA, students must have mathematics as a subject in graduation level or in 10+2 with 50% in the Bachelor’s degree. How to Apply?
- It is mandatory for students to attempt the TNEA exam and the TANCET (depends on course). To apply, download and fill the form available on the official website of TNEA and TANCET.
- After the results of the entrance exams are announced, all candidates are required to download and fill the application form of the college, available on the official website.
- Upon applying, students will have to pay a registration fee of INR 500 (for general category) and INR 250 (for SC/ ST/ MBC/ DNA categories).
- Selections are done based on TNEA counselling for undergraduate courses and TANCET counselling for postgraduate courses conducted by Anna University.

Kumaraguru College of Technology Campus Life
Kumaraguru College of Technology has a huge auditorium with a seating capacity of 1,800 with centralized air conditioning. The college also includes Mahatma Gandhi Central Library, spread over an area of 16945 sq. feet. The library has a huge compilation of books owning 67,598 titles and 1,07,534 volumes and has a subscription to 186 print journals, 8,829 online international journals and 59 magazines. The college has four air-conditioned seminar halls each with a seating capacity of 250, named Dr Vikram Sarabhai, Dr C.V. Raman, Sir M. Visvesvaraya and Swami Vivekananda. KCT also includes a huge number of personal computers. The 1st year Computer Lab has 120 PCs that are used for acquiring basic computing skills. The language lab employs 45 computers and the Centralized Computer-Aided Design Lab (CAD) has about 120 personal computers.
Aruljothi Medical Centre on the campus is an eight bedded hospital with two doctors and nursing assistants. The campus also offers cafeteria and three smaller cafes and refreshment outlets inside the campus. The College has a 13 buses, 4 minibuses and 1 van to transport students and staff from different places in and around Coimbatore to college and back. These buses operate along different routes starting from different locations. For sports facilities, KCT offers a 23 acre playfield that accommodate outdoor games like Football, Hockey, Cricket, Basketball, Volleyball, Ball Badminton, Kabaddi, Tennis, Handball, Kho-Kho, Throwball and outdoor Gymnastics.
