Course Curriculum Overview:

The college is affiliated with VTU. They still follow the old pattern. The syllabus is very outdated and lengthy. There are two sems per year and total 8 sems. In each sem there are three internal exams and two lab exams. You have to pass in all the exams. Apart from these you have to submit assignment and lab records also and for normal lab classes also you have to prepare and come. Facilities of ise branch are chill but for cse faculties are very strict. They will always keep you busy in various activities . You will not get personal time to develop your skills. For every class the strength is not more than 60 . The professors are mostly assistant or associate professors. Hods have some higher degrees. The exams are easy but you have to mug up the things to pass.

Course Curriculum Overview:

as we all know bca has a very good scope and job opportunities but I didn't opt for this because of this reason, I chose this as I was into coding. my college has a very good faculty and discipline is maintained among students at best. Well, exams weren't that hard as in degree you don't go in-depth about subjects.

They are ready to help 24/7 whenever you ask them.

RNS Institute of Technology - [RNSIT]: 8 answered questions

Ques
Which is the better option: CSE at Dayanand Sagar College of Engineering or CSE at RNSIT?

● Top Answer By Abhinav Mishra on 13 Sept 21

Ans
Out of these two, Dayanand Sagar is definitely a better choice because it is an autonomous institute. However, you will encounter multiple distractions on the campus and it is advisable to be cognizant and not to neglect studies. Dayanand Sagar has a good reputation in terms of co-curricular activities. One of my friends, who got RNSIT in the first round, waited and later opted for DSCE in 2nd round. Trust me it was one of the life-changing decisions in his life. Rest is up to you, do whatever you feel like.

Ques
Which one is better between Bangalore Institute of Technology, BMSIT, RNSIT and Dayanand Sagar College of Engineering for ECE and placement-wise and college life?

● Top Answer By Ahana Saxena on 31 Aug 21

Ans
According to one of my seniors, if the parameters of placement and college life are considered then the ranking would be as follows: - Dayanand Sagar College> B.I.T> BMSIT and RNSIT My senior is a student of B.I.T and he has also been to Dayanand Sagar College a couple of times for some cultural events.  According to him Dayanand Sagar College has a much better campus among the others mentioned above.  It is an autonomous college so it has its own perks.  Located in Bangalore it gets the advantage of being nearby corporate houses and IT firms.  It will be easier to conduct frequent industry visits, seminars, and internship opportunities. The places nearby have hostels and PGs available for both boys and girls. There are also numerous flats available. B.I.T is located in V.V Puram and lacks all these facilities. In terms of placement Dayanand Sagar College is at a par with B.I.T however RNSIT and BMSIT both lag behind these institutes in terms of campus life and placement stats, records.

Ques
Which is better, RNSIT or MVJ College of Engineering?

● Top Answer By Drishti Shukla on 30 Jun 21

Ans
One of my friends from school used to be a student of RNSIT and vouches for the institute. Students enjoy good facilities and the college also has a good ambiance. RNSIT does not have a good placement record for students of mechanical and civil. Another factor to be considered while choosing a college is the distance between the college and your home, and also how you can manage the time. According to the recent placement statics, the highest package that RNSIT provides is INR 19 lakhs. The top companies that recruit students from this institute are Amazon, Microsoft, Infosys, Byju’s, etc.

Ques
Which among these MBA colleges are worth? PES university, BMS college or RNSIT?

● Top Answer By Riya Tiwari on 07 Apr 22

Ans
PES University will be better for a management course. BMS and RNSIT are engineering colleges known for their technical degrees. PES University MBA fees are high, around INR 10 LPA. But this huge investment pays off eventually. PES University has academic partnerships with Harvard University, IBM, Earnest & Young, etc. So, you will get great exposure and opportunities. The average CTC for MBA at PES is INR 3-4.8 LPA. HP, ITC, KPMG, and E&Y are some of the major recruiters.

Ques
Which is better if I am an IS aspirant, mechanical engineering in PES University or IS in RNSIT?

● Top Answer By Sushrut Vaibhav on 13 Jul 21

Ans
PES University is an autonomous university. The marking system of the college is good. IS branch in RSIT is good. The college offers 98% placement to its students. The college is affiliated with VDU. The evaluation process of this university is not good. But the college will help you in gaining knowledge. PES university will be good for you if you want to take the mechanical branch. CS and IS students get good placements in the RNSIT college. The highest package has gone to INR 10 LPA in companies like Amazon. The students who do not get placements in the first round are recruited by companies like Accenture and TCS in their mass recruitment drives. The placement statistics of RNSIT college is as follows: Total offers received 707 Overall placement percentage 73% Total companies visited 101 Top recruiters Adobe, Infosys, Accenture, etc. Average CTC INR 2.6 LPA-6.2 LPA. Highest CTC offered INR 19 LPA. The academics, infrastructure, culture, and sports facilities are all good in the college. There is no ragging on the campus. The college seniors are very friendly and welcoming. Overall RNSIT is a good college.

● Top Answer By Deepsikha Singh on 14 Aug 20

Ans
Both RNSIT and Bangalore institute of technology are good options for pursuing CSE which makes it difficult to choose which institute is better. Given below is a brief discussion that will give you an inside into the CSE programs offered by these two institutes. B.E in CSE at RNSIT has an intake of 180 students and the course fee is 1.98 lakh. The department has 3 Professors, 3 Associate Professors, 21 Assistant Professors, and 10 qualified Technical support staff members. The placement rate for CSE at RNSIT is more than 98%. Ques
Which college should I choose for CSE among KLE Technological University, RNSIT, and SIT (Tumkur)?

● Top Answer By Falguni Rahaman on 29 Jul 21

Ans
Among the given options, SIT Tumkur is definitely a better option. It offers better placement and exposure as compared to RNSIT and KLE. KLE isn't ideal when it comes to its location, therefore, I would advise you to not choose it. Since it is located far away from the main city within Bangalore, it gets pretty inconvenient for the companies to show up for placements. This gravely affects the placement scenario. You would as well be devoid of opportunities like off-campus placements, startups, or even as mentioned, transportation. If you are a North Indian, never choose a college that is located at a far-away destination from Bangalore because of how inconvenient things would get because of the transportation factor. However, if we talk about SIT Tumkur, the location of that institute is ideal since Bangalore is not that far from it. It is around 80 km away, which boosts the placement stats along with the ranking of that particular institute. RNSIT is in Bangalore but it is not as good as SIT Tumkur.

Ques
Which college is better for ISE: RNSIT, CMRIT or A.M.C engineering college?

● Top Answer By Prerona Roy on 17 Feb 21

Ans
First, you should stop considering A.M.C Engineering College, if you are going to compare it with institutes like RNSIT or CMRIT. Among the above three institutes, RNSIT would be the best option for Information Science and Engineering. The table below gives a brief overview of the institutes. Particulars RNSIT CMRIT AMC Engineering College Total Fees (ISE) 3.48 Lakhs 16 Lakhs 5.58 Lakhs Cut-off (ISE) 7203 (COMEDK UGET) 6526 (KCET) 9296 (COMEDK UGET) 15412 (KCET) 37151 (COMEDK UGET) 61959 (KCET) NAAC Accreditation Grade ‘A’ Grade ‘A+’ Grade ‘B++’ Median Salary (ISE) 4 Lakhs 3.5 Lakhs 4.3 Lakhs Placement (Winning Institute- RNSIT): Though placements primarily depend on the candidate’s dedication and hard work, RNSIT has a greater edge over good opportunities in the industry. RNSIT and CMRIT have an almost similar level of growth. But to some extent, RNSIT is preferred over CMRIT due to the overall placement scenario, availability of companies and packages offered. Key highlights - RNSIT: RNSIT is famous for its teaching faculty, the way they help students and encourage them in the curriculum and placement. Going with the fame too, RNSIT is preferred. Among the three institutes, RNSIT has the lowest closing ranks in COMEDK and KCET. Ranking-wise, RNSIT leads in the race due to the lowest overall fees and a good amount of facilities offered. So, it is evident that RNSIT is the most preferred institute for ISE among the three.
