IIT Kharagpur PGDBA Admission 2023 are over now. IIT KGP PGDBA Admission is based on the entrance examination conducted by the participating colleges. The PGDBA course of IIT Kharagpur is offered in collaboration with IISc Bangalore and IIM Calcutta. The program is divided into four semesters with 6 months industry internship. The minimum eligibility for admission to PGDBA with PG or UG degree is 60% or CGPA 6.5 in a relevant stream. IIT Kharagpur PGDBA Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility requirement of PGDBA program admission are:

Candidates must have a Graduation or PG degree in 10+2+4/10+2+5/10+2+3+2 pattern with minimum 60% aggregate marks or 6.5 CGPA on 10.0 point scale.
Qualifying degree for the course are B. Tech., B.E., M.Sc., M.Com. or equivalent.
However, One Year MBA is not considered equivalent to M.Sc or M.Com.
For ST/SC and PWD candidates, the minimum eligibility marks is 55% or CGPA 6.0 on 10.0 point scale.
Candidates in the final year of UG or PG course can apply.

IIT Kharagpur PGDBA Admission 2023

IIT Kharagpur Admission in PGDBA will be granted on the basis of entrance exams, after which the shortlisted candidates will be called for a Personal Interview. Due consideration will also be given to work experience and academic standing.

For the purpose of selection, the following method is adopted to assign points to the marks scored in Class XII:

How to Apply for PGDBA at IIT Kharagpur?

Step 1: Visit IIT Kharagpur Official website and check for the eligibility criteria (or confirm from the eligibility section of this Article).

Step 2: Select if you are new Registration or already registered candidate. For a new registration, fill in the details in the given format.

Step 3: Fill in the mandatory details.

Step 4: Upload the self-attested documents of all the necessary documents.

One of my friends had the absolute delight to appear for the PGDBA interview conducted by a multifaceted panel. He shared his interview experience which might help you a bit. Before the interview began, he was taken for a Verification Round wherein, every detail of academics scores or other profile-related information was cross-checked on the IIMs format. Once they received an IIM-verified document they were escorted to the interview venue. The interview room had 3 panels; one from each institute obviously. They asked for his brief introduction first. On hearing about his interest in Data Analytics, panelists probed him further with questions like What is Data Analytics Difference between analytics and analysis Contemporary Data analytics and ML They further asked him why he chose Analytics. He told them that the increasing demand for the same in Europe and China made him realize how much India lacks in this aspect and thus he wanted to invest his efforts in Data Analytics. Next, he was tested on his knowledge of Statistics and Mathematics with questions like Difference between mean, mode, Media Skewness Relationship of mean, mode, and median in a positive Skew graph Hypothesis Testing What is Anova The next panelist took the reins and gave him a problem from SPC quality control. He asked him how do you know that his process in electric bulb making is as per customer Norma and is statistically controlled. My friend was able to answer most of the questions confidently and even solved this problem through charts. Lastly, he was asked about his extracurricular activities and hobbies. The discussion ended with him asking about GST and the difference between GST and previous tax. Even though he gave a common answer, he managed to convert the interview.

ISI Kolkata is the best option for MSc in Maths, followed by IISc. IIT KGP is reputed in the technology domain, but for core science subjects, it’s not a good option. The competition to get into NLSIU is very high due to the merit-based system and they have equally impressive placements. IIT Kharagpur, on the other hand, has a very high number of graduates each year, but they do not get offers as high as NLSIU. But you should be considering which of these colleges would add more value to you. Even if you choose to do an LLB from IIT Kharagpur, you should know that it is the first premier institute for engineering. Whereas NLSIU is one of the best universities in the country for law. Do not choose a college just because it has better placement, instead focus on which college is better for your career in law. A degree from NLSIU would always hold a better position than a degree in Law from an IIT. There are so many people that drop out of college just because they failed to research better about their career path and what was good for them.

The discipline of analytics (technical side) necessitates solid coding abilities, and therefore if you want to pursue a career in analytics, you should start learning the necessary skills now. Work Experience: It is not necessary to have prior work experience to enroll in the course. However, relevant analytical experience aids in extracting greater value from the course. According to your assessment of your interests, you have a preference for fields involving mathematics and statistics. Analytical science is an excellent fit in that regard.
