Course Description
IIT Kharagpur BTech Admissions 2024 is expected to start in June 2024. IIT Kharagpur BTech admissions are based on JEE Advanced score followed by JoSAA Counselling. Currently, JEE Main registrations are open, aspirants can apply on jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates having a valid JEE Main score need to register for JEE Advanced, where registration will commence in April 2024.

IIT Kharagpur BTech Cutoff 2023 has been released by JoSAA. Admissions will be granted on the basis of cutoff marks for respective specialization of the BTech program. IIT Kharagpur B Tech Eligibility Criteria
- General Candidates should have completed 12th class with a minimum required marks from a recognized Board of Education.
- All Candidates should have taken subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology in 12th class.
IIT Kharagpur BTech Admission Criteria
- Selection will be based on the merit in 12th class along with the qualification of IIT-JEE (Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examination).
- Candidates should have qualified JEE Main followed by JEE Advanced.
- The qulaified candidates have to further appear in JoSAA Counselling.
- Merit list, listing All India Rank (AIR) of candidates, will be prepared by all these scores and the cut off will also be settled.

Ans. No, IIT Kharagpur does not provide help in getting a loan for fee payment for any program. But the Students can choose to avail loan from any bank that they deem suitable as the campus has branches of SBI, PNB, and Syndicate Bank.
Ques. How many rounds of Counselling are there in JoSAA for B.Tech at IIT Kharagpur?
Ans. JoSAA Counselling 2022 is being conducted in centralised, online mode in six rounds. Students who qualify JEE Main will be eligible for admission in NITs, IIITs and GFTIs while students who qualify JEE Advanced will be eligible for admission in IITs.

If you aren’t sure about specialization, choosing IIT Kharagpur MBA is better. The institute has a great management faculty base. One of my friends had the absolute delight to appear for the PGDBA interview conducted by a multifaceted panel. He shared his interview experience which might help you a bit.
Before the interview began, he was taken for a Verification Round wherein, every detail of academics scores or other profile-related information was cross-checked on the IIMs format. Once they received an IIM-verified document they were escorted to the interview venue.
The interview room had 3 panels; one from each institute obviously.
They asked for his brief introduction first. On hearing about his interest in Data Analytics, panelists probed him further with questions like

They further asked him why he chose Analytics. He told them that the increasing demand for the same in Europe and China made him realize how much India lacks in this aspect and thus he wanted to invest his efforts in Data Analytics.

Lastly, he was asked about his extracurricular activities and hobbies. The discussion ended with him asking about GST and the difference between GST and previous tax. Even though he gave a common answer, he managed to convert the interview.

Which one will be a better choice for an MSc in maths, IISc, ISI Kolkata, or IIT KGP?
Ans
ISI Kolkata is the best option for MSc in Maths, followed by IISc. IIT KGP is reputed in the technology domain, but for core science subjects, it’s not a good option. If you are interested to pursue pure Mathematics, choosing ISI is the best option among these. It specializes in the field. You will get better career opportunities and exposure in the field.
