Apart from the internship which is given after the second year, usually students get placement offers in the third year. Almost all big companies visit BITS Pilani whether it's Apple, Google, Uber, Microsoft, JP Morgan etc. The highest package was around 1.3 crores and the average of all branches was 18 lakh. Percentage placement is 71.83% if we talk about all branches.
One has to appear for the BITSAT examination just like JEE in which you get a branch according to your score. Admission is also done by DASA and board toopers. One must have secured more than 75 per cent in 12 boards. There are no reservations in BITS. One can find the application form on the BITS site. BITSAT is a good exam but I want them to introduce a Percentile system like JEE mains.
Read Full ReviewPlacement is very good and we have an average package of 19.2 lakhs per annum and a median package of 20.6 lakhs per annum and the highest package was 1.3 crore. Last year there was 100% placement from my college. Student can sit for placement in their final year with a choice to sit in either their 1st semester or second semester. Nearly all big companies including Google, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, etc. visit this college and take a good amount of students in their companies. After getting my degree I have plans to work in big MNCs like Google and Microsoft.
All the students who passed their class 12th are eligible to sit in this exam. Although students can take this exam after a year gap (after completing class 12) also. To get into any of the 3 Bits campuses in India, you need to clear BITSAT which is the admission test. The level of the exam is simple, although no. of questions is comparatively more as compared to JEE. The exam fee is around 3400 for boys and 2800 for girls. There is no reservation provided by the college in terms of caste and income.
Read Full ReviewPlacements our college is one of the best in the country and may be among the best 5 engineering colleges in india after top iits. For campus placements, students are eligible in the fourth year or just after the third year. There is a great chance of getting a pre-placement offer during the SI(Summer internships) but summer internships are a little hard to grab as there a high cgpa criteria compared to placements if the same company is offering a role. Almost all the multi-national company visits and take at least 2-3 students and almost all the students who sit for placements get placed in some or the other company. The highest packages offered are more than a crore but only one or two students are able to grab it and as far as the average package is concerned it was around 19 lakhs last year. More than 98% percent of the students who sit for placements get placed. My plans are currently not oriented towards the placement as I am thinking of an MBA after graduation.
The entrance exam was BITSAT and it is scoring overall if time management is done wisely. To be eligible you must have be matriculated pass and physics, chemistry and maths as the main subjects in your intermediate for most of the courses and for B. Pharma. course you must have biology as your subject apart from physics and chemistry. BITSAT application will be available on the Bits admission website one or two months before the exam the most important thing there is no reservation policy in BITS and this is one of the best parts of any institution. BITS admission is very robust and sophisticated sometimes as it comes in iterations that prevail after the campus opening for the freshers which I think need to be analysed and should be refined. There is an application fess which in my case was three thousand rupees and has increased over the subsequent years. The applicant should have a minimum of 75% in intermediate and 60% in each of the subjects PCM/B to take admission.

Comparing IIIT Hyderabad and BITS Pilani cannot be done in terms of with as both are reputed institutes. However, they can be compared on the basis of individual parameters.
For instance
Now it’s up to you to decide which factor will affect you the most. In my opinion choosing IIIT Hyderabad over BITS Pilani is a no-brainer as IIIT Delhi is the best when it comes to CSE. Its curriculum is designed exceptionally well. Apart from this, it fairs well in terms of modern technology, infrastructure, faculties, placements, and greater opportunities for higher studies and research. The only institutes that give IIIT Hyderabad an edge are IIT Bombay and IISc Bangalore. You are bound to gain a lot of fun experience and knowledge at IIIT Hyderabad and won’t regret joining it ever.
However, this definitely does not mean BITS Pilani is not any good. It’s just that the outcomes offered by both institutes are different. If you want to go for MBA or Government Services in the future, BITS Pilani is a good choice as it offers a wider range of opportunities in contrast to CSE at IIIT Hyderabad which is suitable only if you want to stay in this field till the end.
Once you get into BITS Pilani you will make many happy memories. Some of my friends are BITS Pilani. Most of them miss the campus and the people. The peoples are the best part of BITS Pilani.
