All three campus has a centralized PS and Placement facility. The PS is an internship every student has to pursue mandatorily in order to complete the degree in 2nd and final year. Most of the students get places in PS2 whereas the rest sit for Placement and get placed. The exact statistics are not released but apparently, there are 100% chances of getting placed.

Placement Experience:

BITS Pilani has a strong track record of providing students with excellent job opportunities after graduation. The Institute's Career Development Center (CDC) works closely with students and companies to provide students with internships and job opportunities. The placement process at BITS Pilani starts in the pre-final year of the undergraduate program, with the campus placement season usually starting in August. The Institute invites a large number of companies from various sectors such as IT, consulting, finance, and manufacturing, to conduct campus interviews. The placement process is highly competitive, with a large number of students competing for a limited number of positions. BITS Pilani has a strong alumni network that also helps students in finding job opportunities. The Institute also provides students with career counseling and guidance services to help them prepare for job interviews and to make informed decisions about their careers.

Remarks:

The admission process for Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani involves a two-step process: the BITSAT (BITS Admission Test) and the PI (Personal Interview) round. The BITSAT is a computer-based test that assesses the candidate's aptitude in physics, chemistry, mathematics, and English. The test is conducted across multiple centers in India and abroad, and the candidate's scores in the test are used to determine their eligibility for the PI round. The PI round is an interview-based round where the candidate is assessed on their general awareness, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities. Candidates who clear both the BITSAT and PI rounds are offered admission to BITS Pilani. As for suggestions for improvement, one thing that could be improved is the accessibility of the BITSAT exam centers. Currently, there are only a limited number of centers across India and abroad, and this could be a hindrance for some candidates who live far from the nearest center.

Placement Experience:

Every year, there are two placement seasons scheduled at BITS Pilani campuses. As part of the Practice School programme, our students spend one of the two semesters of their final year working in industry and are only available sometimes on campus. On each campus website, two months prior to placements, you can get information about the profiles of the students who are available for placement in each season.

Remarks:

Generally speaking, the admissions procedure for a course can differ based on the organisation and programme. An application must be submitted, and test results and transcripts must be provided. A student must normally fulfil any programme prerequisites and specific educational requirements in order to be eligible for a course. Usually, the institution's or program's website has details regarding the application procedure, such as where to get the application form, application costs, and deadlines. If any, reservation perks would also be mentioned on the institution's or program's website but there isn't any reservation in BITS. I am unable to comment on potential changes to the admissions procedure because it differs based on the institution.

Placement Experience:

BITS Pilani campus placements are at par. The average package offered is around 11-12 lakhs. BITS is the only Indian college that gives students chance to confirm their placement in Practice School. It's a bit of initiative in which students are allotted companies on basis of their CGPA and they can work in them to get Pre-Placement offers. Apart from this placement committee of BITS Pilani assures that every student who sits in placement should get placed. The placement percentage is almost 100% as people got placed either through PPOs in summer internships and Practice School and the rest are placed during two placement seasons. More than 250+ companies visit campus giving domestic offers ranging from 8-50 LPA.

Remarks:

One has to take the BITSAT exam for admission into three campuses of BITS in India, Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad. The eligibility for BITSAT is a minimum aggregate of 75% in PCM/B and at least 60% in each of Physics Chemistry and Maths/Biology. One can take the BITSAT exam only twice, first in Class 12 (10+2) and then a year after. BITSAT registration announcement is made on their official website www. bitsadmission.com. All details about fees, and application forms circulate on this website only.

Remarks:

75% in your respective board is the minimum eligibility criteria. The percentage is seen in class 12. Details are available on the BITSAT website. I want it to be fewer questions based. The exam has an important factor of speed.

How does CS at IIIT Hyderabad compare to BITS Pilani?

● Top Answer By Maulik Raichura on 27 Feb 23

Ans
Comparing IIIT Hyderabad and BITS Pilani cannot be done in terms of with as both are reputed institutes. However, they can be compared on the basis of individual parameters. For instance  Campus: BITS Placements: IIIT Hyderabad  Coding: IIIT Hyderabad Now it’s up to you to decide which factor will affect you the most. In my opinion choosing IIIT Hyderabad over BITS Pilani is a no-brainer as IIIT Delhi is the best when it comes to CSE. Its curriculum is designed exceptionally well. Apart from this, it fairs well in terms of modern technology, infrastructure, faculties, placements, and greater opportunities for higher studies and research. The only institutes that give IIIT Hyderabad an edge are IIT Bombay and IISc Bangalore. You are bound to gain a lot of fun experience and knowledge at IIIT Hyderabad and won’t regret joining it ever. However, this definitely does not mean BITS Pilani is not any good. It’s just that the outcomes offered by both institutes are different. If you want to go for MBA or Government Services in the future, BITS Pilani is a good choice as it offers a wider range of opportunities in contrast to CSE at IIIT Hyderabad which is suitable only if you want to stay in this field till the end.

How does the newly added plagiarism tool work in the BITS Pilani?

● Top Answer By Bhumika Basu on 19 Jul 21

Ans
According to my friends studying at BITS Pilani, it is highly advanced when it comes to technology and its advancement. BITS Pilani has added a plagiarism tool on its campus to check the student’s capability to write an essay on an unknown topic. This tool has been generated specifically to go through the soft copies and the answers uploaded on it by digital means. The topics given for the essay writing is an anonymous topic and sometimes students also give in their essays in hardcopy format. In such cases, the student checks and again works on their essay before submitting it. When submitted the hard copy files are scanned and then converted into soft copies and are then made to go through the plagiarism tool. Students are aware of the tool and therefore check the essay multiple times before submitting it. The plagiarism tool is very advanced and also very accurate. It searches the essay multiple times in every order to find out the copied content and identifies as little as phrases used in the same order.
