NIT Jalandhar M.Tech Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates who have been granted four year Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology/BSc (Engineering) from perceived University with a legitimate GATE score or Master's Degree in science field with at least 60% scores (CGPA 6.5) or same and a substantial GATE score or UGC/CSIR association are qualified to apply for admission to M. Tech. Program of the Institute.
- For an international student who applies through the Ministry of Human Resource improvement, Govt. of India are qualified to apply given that they have the same qualifications as above.

NIT Jalandhar M.Tech Course Details
- Each stream of the MTech program contains center course, elective course and dissertation work. Further, students who study the MTech program need to go through mechanical/commonsense preparing. The MTech program is partitioned into four semesters wherein students are required to finish a minimum of 65 credits.
- A student should enlist for at least 15 credits and a limit of 30 credits in a semester wherein thesis credits enrolled by a student must be more than 9 credits.
- A M.Tech. student has to pass 10 courses in first and second semesters for example 5 courses in every Semester.
Attendance Requirement:
- All students must attend each lecture class, instructional exercise and practical class. The Institute wants 100% participation with an arrangement for consideration for non attendance because of late enlistment, illness or other such possibilities. The attendance necessity of 75% of the course classes is required for writing the examination.
- A student with under 75% participation in a course during a semester will be granted 'W' grade in that course regardless of his/her exhibition in the tests. The Course Coordinator, while granting the evaluations, will consider the merged participation record for the entire semester.

Financial Assistance:
M.Tech. full time students might be granted Stipend according to the rules of Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India. Agreeable report is needed for continuation of the allowance to be paid. If there is an occurrence of non- agreeable report provided for any M. Tech payment case(s) of student(s) from the concerned Supervisor/HOD, the payment cum training assistantship will be halted till the report is provided and the allowance cum showing assistantship not paid during the non-acceptable month(s) won't be delivered regardless. The concerned M. Tech. student can't claim stipend during the time of non-acceptable execution. Further, 75% combined participation is additionally required for M. Tech students for stipend claims.
