Giving the quite nice quality of food which you can say is just eatable. All the things are accordingly to the menu that the students mess authorities decided. Hostel clerks and wardens are also nice but also strict in some manner. They didn't tolerate any indiscipline in hostels..fining u in most of the cases for this.
Life at NIT J is quite interesting. You will definitely get a good friends having good mindset in academics as well as in your side. Also having a friendly nature , they will always makes u smile . There are total 19 clubs. Thes includes dance & music, literary and debate, sanskrit, foreign language, yoga and meditation , Google development student club , Tedex and Prayas. From all these , Prayas is one of the finest club. It is a reaching based club where u have to teach some basic knowledge to the needy people which are from below poverty line, that doesn't have the proper shed over their head. U will enjoy alot during this process and will secure more friends during this journey. Desperately, the infrastructure is lil small it is just about 150 acres which I think u can complete 4-5 times everyday. Also there is one well little spaced central seminar hall, one open Air theatre , Gymnasium, laborities, and all the sports ground including gym ????????????.
Read Full ReviewNIT Jalandhar is among the top engineering colleges in the country. It offers decent academics and has an excellent placement record.
Jalandhar is only a few hours away from tourist places like Amritsar, Dalhousie, Dharamshala, etc.
NIT Jalandhar placements are good for M.Tech. According to the recent placement highlights, the average CTC offered for M.Tech branches is around INR 6 LPA. The highest CTC offered goes up to INR 10 LPA. Comparably CSE has a better placement record. Adobe, Oracle, OYO, Intel, L&T, etc. are among the major recruiters that take part in the placement drive.
There are a few things you should attend to: Although academics is not the only aspect of your life there, it is the most significant. Maintain a CGPA of at least 7.39 (or 70%). Try to make it to at least most of the lectures. The consequences of skipping practical exams are severe. One night of study the night before the test won't always be helpful. Although they may make you a hard worker, they cannot discipline you. Even though engineering is a difficult subject to master, it is not insurmountable. You can easily pass it if you consistently study.
There are many things you should enjoy. The college's lifeblood is its LIBRARY. This place has a lot to offer. Read consistently. There are countless books you'll like that aren't academic. The practice of getting the book issued will instill in you the values of punctuality and empathy.
TECH FEST & CULTURAL FEST are not just for entertainment; they are also for participation and creation. You ought to take an active part. Events take place throughout the day, and gaming occurs at night (Tech Fest). You should unquestionably join organizations and societies like LADS, SAE, MADS, Fine Arts, etc. This college places a strong emphasis on athletics. You have a sizable field, lovely basketball and volleyball courts, a running track, The Gymnasium, and The Gym for bodybuilding. Except for Mega Boys Hostel, every hostel has its own badminton court and TT hall.
One of the key things that students look for is placements. Get ready for it right away. Develop your interactive abilities right away. Students often lament their lack of English proficiency despite coming from a Hindi-medium school. Your B. Tech. life's second and third years will lay the groundwork for the placements. You must therefore have clear concepts. After the first year is over, set a clear objective. You make the decision at this time as to whether you want to pursue private employment or government employment. Start your GATE, IES, or IAS preparation in the second semester because this is when the exam syllabus is covered.
Keeping in mind the academic environment and placement statistics, the following should be the preferences:
CSE at NIT Hamirpur, IIIT Jabalpur, NIT Jalandhar, and IIIT Kancheepuram.
ECE at NIT Hamirpur, ECE at NIT Jalandhar, IIIT Kancheepuram, and then IIIT Jabalpur.
Choose a college with a broadband internet connection in the hostels for CSE. In general, the faculty at all of these colleges will be mediocre, and you will be forced to rely on the internet for your education. Once the CSE and hostel broadband requirements have been met, consider which college is closer to home, near a city, and not in a country where you do not speak the native language.
NIT Jalandhar is a reputable university. Not particularly extraordinary or so. It's just a quiet campus with standard instruction where CSE graduates have a good placement rate. It gradually lost its allure. It used to be one of the best NITs, but lately, it has declined.
However, it is still a very good college, with CSE, in particular, being a particularly lovely and developed branch.
ICE at NIT Jalandhar is one of the most reputed branches in the terms of placements as well as in the aspect of GATE. I have a friend in the 2018 ICE batch at NIT Jalandhar. In 2018, the GATE IN topper was from the ICE branch at NIT Jalandhar. Also, nine students of ICE were Under 100 in GATE 2018.
Faculty: The faculties are very good, supportive, and dedicated.
Campus life:
The campus life is very happening. Various cultural and technical events are being organized for the students. If interested you can join the Robotics club and DAKSH (Solar car manufacturing team). The labs and lecture halls are air-conditioned and well equipped with smart boards and other facilities.
Placements:
According to the recent highlights, the placement statistics of the institute are as follows.
Placement percentage |
88.52% |
Highest placement offered in ICE branch |
INR 11.75 LPA |
Average placement offered in ICE branch |
INR 6.48 LPA |
Top recruiters |
BPCL, GAIL, BORL, Vedanta, Wipro, LTI, L&T, Infosys, Saint Gobain, ZS Associates, etc |
These are a few of the things that you opt to know about NIT Jalandhar. Hope this was helpful.
There is no point in taking a loan for either of these colleges. NIT Jalandhar is an institute of national importance and the degree will almost be the same if not better than the one at BITS Goa.
If you are concerned about placements, then choosing BITS Goa over NIT Jalandhar might be the best option. If you’re sure that the better placements at BITS Goa will help you fend off the loans then go ahead.
It is also important to note that the EEE branch at NIT Jalandhar is more popular and has pretty good placements in itself so taking a loan is not worth it. Go for EEE at NIT Jalandhar.
Avoid choosing NIT Jalandhar if your goal is to study ECE for the sake of studying ECE sincerely and devotedly.
ECE at NIT Jalandhar emphasizes placement, specifically in an IT company. As an ECE student, you'll be expected to perform exceptionally well in coding and other CSE-related courses. Additionally, the compensation packages provided by core businesses fall well short of what an ECE student would expect, further decreasing the appeal of ECE core.
It is recommended that you choose another institute if you're passionate about electronics and want to pursue a successful career in the field rather than NITJ.
