Course Description

NIT Goa BTech admissions 2024 registrations are under process. The institute offers BTech as its flagship program at the UG level. NIT Goa’s flagship course admission i.e., BTech is done on the basis of JEE Mains score followed by the JoSAA counselling. Aspirants who are interested in this program can now apply online on jeemain.nta.nic. since the application process is open.

Furthermore, NIT Goa BTech 2024 admissions will be based on JEE Mains 2024. JEE Mains is expected to take place in two phases, i.e., in the month of January and April. JEE Mains 2024 first attempt exam date is scheduled on the last week of January 2024 (tentative).

NIT Goa B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the B.Tech course requires:

Minimum 10+2 pass with at least 60% marks from any recognized Board.
Candidates must have Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics as subjects in 10+2 level.

NIT Goa B.Tech Admission

Admission to the NIT Goa BTech program is based on JEE Main scores. Candidates qualifying the exam participate in the JoSaa counselling for the final seat allocation.

NIT Goa B.Tech Application Process

Candidates who are considered eligible for admission will have to appear for JEE Mains exam. The candidates will also have to appear for the JoSAA counselling round. The step-by-step application process is given below:

Candidates must visit the official website of JEE Main - https://www.nta.ac.in/Engineeringexam
Candidates must register themselves to get the online application form.
Candidates must note down the provided application number and must generate a password.
Candidates must log in through the registered application ID and password.
Candidates must fill the provided application form with all the required personal & academic details.
The scanned images of the passport-sized photographs and signature must be uploaded.
Candidates must pay an application fee of INR 650 (INR 325 for reserved category candidates) through online mode – Net banking/credit /debit card.
Candidates must take out the print of the application form for future reference.

For JoSAA Counselling Round:

Candidates who will have a valid JEE Main score must appear for the Counselling round. To register for the round of Counselling, the given steps are to be followed:

Visit the official website of JoSAA.
Log in by using the JEE Main application number.
Make sure that the profile is the same as earlier.
Click on the option- ‘Submit Changes”.
Fill in the preferred colleges and the desired Specializations.
Click on the option – “I agree to lock my choices”.
Take a printout of that specific page for further requirements.

Duration: the B.Tech course duration in NIT Goa is 4 years, which is 8 semesters. However, students at medical grounds can complete the course in even 12 semesters.

Attendance Requirements: Students must have 80% attendance in every semester. The overall attendance for the course has to be 75% or above. Students having attendance below 75% will not be allowed to appear for the examinations without prior approval in writing for the reasons of absence.

One of my friends studied at NIT Goa. According to him, In the recent placement drive of 2021, the students of NIT Goa were offered the highest packages compared to the placement drives of the previous years. One of the students who completed the M.Tech course got a package that offered INR 14.3 LPA. The companies that have made offers to the students this year are Siemens, Goldman Sachs, TCS, Samsung, Mphasis, Samsung, etc. In the department of CSE, out of the 27 eligible students, all 27 of them got placed, making their placement program a complete success. Over 45 companies have visited NIT Goa in 2021 so far; surpassing the tally of the previous three years. If we talk about facilities, the labs have computers that are high end and run on Linux and Windows operating systems. The internet connection provided, leaves no room for complaints. The campus is wifi enabled too. The faculty is helpful and cooperative. Categories M.Tech in CSE at NIT Goa Course Fee 2.01 lakh Highest CTC 8-9 LPA Average CTC 4.2 LPA Recruiting Companies Wipro, Infosys, TCS, IBM, etc. So it is suggested that if you want to opt for M.Tech in CSE from NIT Goa, you may go for it.
