WBJEE exam is held in offline mode as an OMR-based test. Candidates are given an OMR sheet to mark their answers. There are three category of questions asked:

Category 1: 1 mark questions with one correct option
Category 2: 2 marks questions with one correct option
Category 3: 2 marks questions with one or more correct options

WBJEE question paper is bilingual and is available in English and Bengali. Paper I is for Mathematics while Paper II is for Physics and Chemistry.
