Ans. Ans. Yes, WBJEE 2023 will consist of Multiple Choice Questions only. Each question will have 4 options as answers. Candidates will have to select one correct option & shade the appropriate circle on the OMR Sheet with their Black/Blue Ball point pen.

Ans. WBJEEB has released the application form for WBJEE 2023 on December 23, 2022. Registration for WBJEE 2023 will be concluded on January 20, 2023. Candidates can now download the admit card from the official website for WBJEE 2023, which is to be conducted on April 30, 2023.
Ques. What is the distribution of Questions in various subjects of WBJEE 2023?
Ans. WBJEE 2023 will be conducted on April 30, 2023 for two Papers. Paper I will be conducted for Mathematics whereas Paper-II will be conducted for Physics and Chemistry. Physics and Chemistry will consist of 40 each question while Mathematics will consist of 75 questions.
Ques. Will there be any negative marking in the WBJEE 2023 examination?
Ans. Yes. The total number of questions for each subject will be divided into 3 categories, wherein, Physics & Chemistry will have the same number of questions in each category i.e. 30, 5 & 5 in category 1, 2 & 3 respectively; whereas Mathematics will consist of 50, 15 & 10 in category 1, 2 & 3 respectively.

Ques. Is maths compulsory to appear in WBJEE 2023?
Ans. WBJEE is conducted for admission to undergraduate courses in the field of Engineering, Pharmacy, Technology, Architecture and Pharmacy. Candidates can choose to appear in both Paper I- Mathematics and Paper II- Physics and Chemistry or only in Paper- II. However candidates who appear only in Paper II will be eligible only for Pharmacy courses except in Jadavpur University, where candidates can seek admission for any course.
Ques. Can I appear for WBJEE 2023 in online mode?
Ans. WBJEE 2023 will be conducted as a pen and paper-based test on April 30, 2023. Paper I for Mathematics and Paper-II for Physics and Chemistry will be conducted in two shifts from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm respectively. The counselling process for WBJEE 2023 will be conducted in online mode.
Ques. I am a Biology student. Am I eligible to appear in WBJEE 2023?
Ans. As per the general eligibility criteria for Engineering and technology courses, candidates should have passed 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with either Biotechnology/Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science/Technical Vocation Subject. Candidates aspiring to appear in WBJEE 2023 for Pharmacy courses are required to have passed Class 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology as compulsory subjects. Thus Biology students are eligible to appear for WBJEE 2023.
Ques. Are 12th marks important for admission through WBJEE 2023?
Ans. As per the general eligibility criteria for admission through WBJEE 2023, candidates should have passed Class 10+2 with at least 45% (40% for reserved category candidates). Candidates should also have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 30% in English.
Ques. What will be the tie-breaking criteria if two candidates secure the same rank in WBJEE 2023?
Ans. If two candidates secure the same rank in WBJEE 2023, Tie-breaking criteria for General Merit Rank and Pharmacy Merit Rank will be used. If tie still persists, date of birth of the candidate will be taken into consideration for breaking the tie. The older candidates will be given preference over the younger candidates.
