Andhra Pradesh BSc Agriculture Admission is based on an entrance exam. Andhra Pradesh BSc Agriculture admissions are done on the basis of the AP EAPCET scores. APSCHE conducts the Andhra Pradesh BSc Agriculture Admission Process.

APSCHE has released the AP EAPCET 2023 official dates. The AP EAPCET will be conducted to offer BSc Agriculture Admission 2023 from May 23 – 25, 2023. AP BSc Agriculture registration process has also begun from March 11, 2023. 

BSc Agriculture is a 4-year undergraduate degree course. Candidates must have done 10+2 in the Science stream to qualify for admissions. AP EAPCET will b conducted from May 23 - 25, 2023, to offer Andhra Pradesh BSc Agriculture Admission.

Andhra Pradesh BSc Agriculture Admission 2023: Eligibility

Candidates seeking admission into B.Sc Agriculture courses offered in Andhra Pradesh must meet the following eligibility criteria.

  • The candidate must have completed 17 years as of 31st December 2020. The upper age limit is 22 years for General, OBC, and other candidates. For SC/ST candidates, the upper age limit is 25 years
  • The candidate must have passed 10+2 with Mathematics, Biological/Natural Science, and Physical Science from a recognized board or its equivalent
  • The minimum marks required for admission vary depending upon the university/institute
  • The candidate may have to appear for the AP EAPCET entrance exam conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education

Depending on the University mode of accepting applications, candidates can apply either online or offline. Candidates must read the brochure or prospectus before applying to any institute. The brochure can be found on the official university website or can be collected offline

  • Candidates must register with a valid email address and phone number
  • Fill the application form with the required details
  • Correctly fill in the marks obtained in the qualifying examination
  • Attach copies of necessary documents
  • Candidates must pay the application fee via Credit card/ Debit card/ Net banking in online mode. Alternatively, candidates can pay the applications fees through a Demand Draft if applying offline.

The syllabus of B.Sc. Agriculture at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) comprises of the following:

  • 25 Ques from Mental Ability + 25 Ques from Chemistry (compulsory for all the streams).
  • 50 Ques including Zoology and Botany (for biology students).
  • 25 Ques from Physics and  25 Ques from Maths (for Mathematics students).
  • 50 Ques from Agriculture (for agriculture students).

Preparation Tips:

  • Mental Ability section is mainly based on previous years papers. Most of the questions are repeated.
  • For Chemistry, it includes areas of Organic, Inorganic and Physical.
    • For Organic, you must have knowledge of the mechanism of basic reactions of addition, substitution, elimination with popular named reactions like Cannizaro, Williamson, Wurtz, OMDM, HBO etc.
    • Inorganic has basic trends of periodic table, Solubility, thermal decomposition. Chemical bonding and coordination.
    • For Physical, revise all the basic questions of equilibrium, electrochemistry, Solubility, Surface Chemistry, Chemical kinetics, Thermodynamics and Mole Concept.
  • For Biology, read class 11th and 12th NCERT Books. Study plant diversity, animal Diversity, Human and Plant Physiology.

The exam is around 2 hours so the paper is not difficult or lengthy. Negative marking is there so make sure the answers are accurate. Your basic knowledge acquired by revising and practicing mental ability questions will be determined.
