I chose this course because of the boom in the IT sector. Faculty: student ratio is quite satisfying as the faculty pays attention to each and every student. We have 2 visiting and 4 permanent faculty for our subjects and labs and workshop of our college are also very well we have proper equipment and teachers operating it. The term exams were quite easy as the university is self-owned and they create their own paper means the faculty create paper. The term exams took place on time.

I chose civil engineering as in core branches most vacancies come for civil engineers. Each class contains around 60-80 students. Facilities are well qualified with good teaching experience. Even the visiting faculties are pretty good. The exams are pretty much on the dates mentioned in the timetable or delayed by 2-3 days. The exams are pretty easy if you study well and solve past papers of your branch.

Ques
Which is better: IET DAVV CSE or SGSITS IT if placements are concerned?

● Top Answer By Sudhanshu Khare on 12 Apr 21

Ans
IET DAVV has better placements than SGSITS. In the following given table, you get a basic knowledge of both the college placement scenario.  Category  IET DAVV (CSE) SGSITS (IT) Fees INR 2.83 Lakh INR 5.23 Lakh Average Package  INR 4.5 LPA INR 7 LPA Highest Package  INR 20 LPA INR 32 LPA Placement Percentage 70% 60% One of my friends studies in IET DAVV and as per him most of the companies visiting both the institutes consequently are Wipro, Cognizant, Infosys, TCS, Accenture. There are few companies that visit both campuses.  But the IET DAVV placement cell is better than SGSITS. As it has a better placement head. They will help students over getting a job.  Therefore, if you are skeptical about choosing between IET DAVV CSE and SGSITS IT, then choose the former, as it has a better placement record than the latter.

Ques
What is your review of Institute of Engineering and Technology, DAVV, Indore?

● Top Answer By Abhijeet Tiwari on 12 Apr 21

Ans
If you are thinking to join the Institute of Engineering and Technology, DAVV, Indore, then it would not be an idle choice. It is better you take a drop and take coaching and then enroll in some other college.  Do not waste your four years of study in IET DAVV or SGSITS. You will graduate from IET DAVV with not a promising placement and salary package. Invest your time and money in good coaching institutes. If you work hard and ready to complete your further studies then your year will not be wasted.  IET DAVV has good Computer Engineering and IT departments as compared to other departments. So if you are thinking to get into one of these, then it would be a better decision.  As other departments of IET DAVV will not help you gaining and acquiring any knowledge.  Faculties of IET DAVV also don’t excel in critical thinking, knowledge, skills, and others. But they are very co-operative and help students.  As compared to other colleges IET DAVV has a good reputation.  Whatever you learn from IET DAVV is from its campus environment, cultural activities, and fests. These events and activities will help to gain leadership skill, boosting your confidence, and makes you a better person.  The IET DAVV staffs are friendly, they will get you books and e-learning materials. You will surely go to make good friends here.  Therefore, if you are ready to do hard work, then you will surely have a prosperous career after graduating from IET DAVV

Ques
What is the procedure of branch change in IET DAVV Indore?

● Top Answer By Sukanya Saha on 09 Mar 21

Ans
The procedure to change your branch varies depending on which year you are currently in. Check the procedures below: First year:  When two rounds of DTE counselling are over, some seats still remain vacant. After 4-5 days of commencement of classes, internal branch sliding is held. You just have to check their website regularly for notification regarding branch change. Then you have to fill a simple form. Usually, during this sliding, many IT and EC students shift to CS, EI and Civil students shift to IT and EC and so on. After all the shifts, some seats still remain vacant in EI, Civil etc. which are then filled by CLC. For internal branch slide, you have to go to the help centre (SGSITS) on a prescribed date and follow a simple procedure which they will tell you. It must be noted that if you have got a seat under the tuition fee waiver (TFW) scheme then you can't change the branch you are allotted. Second/third year:  In this case too, you must check their website for the Branch Transfer or College Transfer notification which comes every year around 20 July.  This is done to fill the remaining vacant seats of the second and third year. Your branch change totally depends on the vacancy of seats in the branch you want to go for. Generally, some reserved category seats which are remaining vacant get filled at this time because usually all unreserved category seats are already filled after the first year. So, it all depends on your luck!

It is worth noting that the highest package offered to a student may vary from year to year, and may also depend on factors such as academic performance, relevant skills and experience, and the requirements of the recruiting company. Overall, IET DAVV has a good track record when it comes to placements, and its graduates have been recruited by some of the top companies in India and abroad. Ques
What is the average package of IET DAVV in the CSE, IT, EI, and ET branch?

● Top Answer By Ritesh Agarwal on 30 Mar 21

Ans
One of my friends was a student of IET DAVV, and he has studied Computer Science at this institute.  He once told me that lots of companies came to select candidates from CS and IT stream. If you are in the average category but has good concepts in your subjects (IT and CS), or has sufficient programming skills, then you can easily get the placement in a reputed company. However, if you are not performing well in the other companies, then there is a chance to get placed in the mass recruiter organizations, which is also not a bad option to start a career. The average CTC for all the branches is approximately 4.25, but here average CTC is considered. This is because the range is hardly started from 3.5 LPA to 12 LPA or 13 LPA in some cases. It is also seen that lot of the companies also provide around 5-6 LPA. In the following, a brief overview of placement facts of this institute has been given considering the subjects such as CSE, IT, EI, and ET: Criteria CSE IT EI ET Highest CTC 15 LPA 12.5 LPA 10 LPA 12.5 LPA Lowest CTC 4 LPA 6-7 LPA 8 LPA 10 LPA Average CTC 8-10 LPA 8-10 LPA 5-6 LPA 8 LPA Placement Statistics 90% 95% 89% 90% Thus, it can be concluded that placement is the plus point in this institute. Nearly 100% placement id is offered by this institute's placement cell to the top MNCs like TCS, Accenture. Infosys, HCL, Capgemani etc.

Ques
How much of the percentage in boards and marks in JEE (Mains) are required to get admission in IET-DAVV?

● Top Answer By Sudhanshu Khare on 20 Apr 23

Ans
The Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) considers both the board exam percentage and the JEE Main score for admission to its undergraduate programs in engineering. However, the minimum eligibility criteria for admission to IET-DAVV may vary from year to year and also depend on the category of the student.  Here are some general guidelines: Board exam percentage: Generally, a student must have a minimum of 60% to 75% marks in their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board or university. However, the required percentage may vary depending on the category of the student and the specific branch of engineering they wish to pursue. JEE Main score: Students must also appear for JEE Main and obtain a valid score. Again, the required score may vary depending on the category of the student and the branch of engineering they wish to pursue. Meeting the minimum eligibility criteria does not guarantee admission to IET-DAVV. Admission is granted based on merit and the availability of seats in the preferred branch of engineering. It's always a good idea to check the official website of IET-DAVV or contact the admission office for the latest information on eligibility criteria and admission procedures.

Ques
I scored 120 in the JEE Mains this year and 91.2% in the CBSE. How can I get the IT or the EC branch in the IET DAVV SGSITS?

● Top Answer By Rachita Mitra on 11 May 21

Ans
With a score of 120 in JEE Mains and 91.2% in CBSE, you are fit for the IT or EC branch in IET DAVV in the second round of counseling by DTE.  In the past, students have got the IT/EC branch at such scores or even less. I have a friend who is an alumnus of IET DAVVa and his score was 125 in JEE and 87% in MP board.  There’s a good chance that you will be selected. As for SGSITS, with this rank, you can easily get any branch you like. Here is the required cutoff for IET DAVV and SGSITS in recent years. Branch  IET DAVV SGSITS IT  30549 23715 EC 55534 28577 However, if you don’t get the desired branch through DTE counseling for IET DAVV in the first and second round, you can seize any lower branch and apply for Internal Branch Sliding.
