Read Full ReviewThe course curriculum is very bad. It lacks relevance and comprehensiveness, with outdated material and insufficient practical applications. Specific aspects like industry-aligned projects and internships are minimal, influencing my decision negatively. The curriculum poorly prepares students for real-world applications or further academic pursuits. Exams are frequent but often overly difficult and poorly timed. Improvements are needed in incorporating current industry trends and interactive learning methods.

One of my friends studies in IET DAVV and as per him most of the companies visiting both the institutes consequently are Wipro, Cognizant, Infosys, TCS, Accenture. There are few companies that visit both campuses.
But the IET DAVV placement cell is better than SGSITS. As it has a better placement head. They will help students over getting a job.
Therefore, if you are skeptical about choosing between IET DAVV CSE and SGSITS IT, then choose the former, as it has a better placement record than the latter.
You should choose NIT Rourkela for a B.Tech. It is a reputed NIT with a great placement record. NIT Rourkela placements 2022 had witnessed the average CTC of INR 20.88 LPA. The highest CTC offered this year was INR 46.08 LPA. Reputed companies such as VISA, Google, Apple, etc. took part in the placement drive.
If you are getting CSE/EE/ECE, you should definitely choose NIT Rourkela.
Getting admission in either of SGSITS and IET DAVV requires good JEE main scores. I have a few friends from both institutes so I think I will be able to give you some Idea about the cutoff required. Here is a brief overview of the recent cutoff trend at the institutes.

Some of my friends studied CSE from SGSITS, so I might be able to share some details about SGSITS. But I can provide the basic information of IIIT Vadodara, as I am not very familiar with the college.

If you work hard, you can easily secure a job during the placement program. Top companies like Microsoft, Deloitte, Mu Sigma, SAP, Mindtree, Wipro, ZS Associates, L&T, Morgan Stanley, etc. take part in the placement program of both colleges. They also offer deserving candidates internship opportunities, during their 3rd year. Ultimately it is your choice and priority that will help you decide which college to get admitted in.
With a score of 120 in JEE Mains and 91.2% in CBSE, you are fit for the IT or EC branch in IET DAVV in the second round of counseling by DTE.
In the past, students have got the IT/EC branch at such scores or even less. I have a friend who is an alumnus of IET DAVVa and his score was 125 in JEE and 87% in MP board.
There’s a good chance that you will be selected. As for SGSITS, with this rank, you can easily get any branch you like.
Here is the required cutoff for IET DAVV and SGSITS in recent years.

IET DAVV |
SGSITS |
IT |

EC |

However, if you don’t get the desired branch through DTE counseling for IET DAVV in the first and second round, you can seize any lower branch and apply for Internal Branch Sliding.
If you are comparing Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science, and The Institute of Engineering & Technology, DAVV, then go for the former. IET DAVV has its own reputation but not better than SGSITS.
Here is the comparison between SGSITS and IET DAVV.
Therefore, if you thinking to join SGSITS and IET DAVV, then choose EC from SGSITS. It has good faculty, placement record, and greater brand value which will help you in your career.
NIT Raipur is the Institute of National Importance(INI). It provides bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in engineering, technology, architecture, and basic sciences.
Before 2011-12 there were only 39 NITs in the country but now there are 73 and almost all fall under the MHRD Accreditation.
Major things you need to know about NIT Raipur:
As per my friends’ opinion, NIT Raipur would be a much better choice than SGSITS Indore.
One of my friends is from SGSITS, and Bhopal is her hometown. I know a few people from UIT RGPV too. Based on the conversations I had with them, I think I can answer your question.
From what I gathered, it doesn't really matter whether you're from GS or UIT. The only thing that matters is your future goals and where you see yourself 5 -10 years from now. whether you want to pursue an MBA, a Ph.D., or a career in technology. However, most of my friends, whether from SGSITS or UIT, work in the same company/profile, so there isn't much of a difference. Here are the recent placement highlights for the institutes.
Institutes | SGSITS | UIT |
Average CTC | 5 LPA | 3 LPA |
Highest CTC | 44 LPA | 8 LPA |
Top recruiters | Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Accenture | Cognizant, Amazon, TCS |
At least take no stress and go for what is best for you. Now you know that there's no major difference and your decision should be accordingly.
Neither IET DAVV and SGSITS have management quota seats.
IET DAVV:
SGSITS:
Hope this helps.
Both of them are very good colleges and are recognized and reputed colleges of our country, but there are certain aspects which make them different from each other and in this scenario, CSE at SGSITS will be much better than at IET DAVV. Here are the reasons.
Overall, it is safe to say that SGSIT is a better alternative.
