Placement Experience:

As per google, It is the best college in MP after IIT Indore and MANIT Bhopal, And it also has high placement records, From the Third Year the students are eligible for campus Placement.

Remarks:

If you must be admitted to Btech, you must crack the Entrance Exam JEE Mains. As per the MP Dte counseling the seat are allotted in the college. Yeah, there is a reservation seat but its all handle by the MP Dte it does not depend on the college.

Life at SGSITS Indore

Course Curriculum Overview:

If one has an interest in the core department then he can opt for this course. Or you can go further in software companies by learning computer languages. In the college, there is a proportion of 1:40 of faculty to students.

Remarks:

One has to qualify for JEE mains to apply for MPDTE counseling through which one can get admitted to the college. You can find the application form for JEE mains at jeemain.nic.in. The admission process is a well-systematic process and I don't see any changes required in this.

A brief introduction of SGSITS

Placement Experience:

The placements are good. The highest is 44 lakh per annum and on average it can be up to 12-14 lakhs per annum. Goldmann Sachs, vipro, adverb , Asian paints, and many more come to hire. A percentage of 88 gets placed.

Remarks:

I cleared JEE mains and qualified for the criteria of my course. I got admitted in the first upgraded round. The cutoff was 94 percentile in which I scored 96.42 percentile. The eligibility was just to have higher secondary qualification through science (non-medical field). We can find the application form at jeemain.nic.in. I didn't find any improvement in the process.

Why you Should take admission in SGSITS.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is Very good for IT departments. Whereas for Core departments it's not good compared to IT but companies approach college of core branches also. More than 300 companies nearly came to hire students from different departments. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Adani, Reliance, Bajaj, L&T, and many more.

Remarks:

The process of admission is on the bases of your JEE mains score and courses are offered on the bases of your JEE rank. You can find all the details on the college site. The admission process is quite good and I don't think that any improvement is required in it.

Internship Opportunities at SGSITS

Placement Experience:

After the 4th semester companies visit the campus for offering the internship to teh students and after the 6th semester the companies visit for offering the placements to the students. Some of the companies offering highest placements in SGSITS are : 1) Google 2) Amazon 3) TATA 4) ACC 5) Goldman Sachs 6) Samsung 7) Accenture 8) Deloitte The highest package being offered is 32 l.p.a for core electrical branch and 8 l. p. a for software developer profile. About 99 percentage students get placed every year.

Remarks:

The admission was done on the basis of the JEE MAINS rank . But if someone didn't gave JEE examination than he/she could take admission on the basis of percentage of marks obtained in 12. The form which we need to fill was of mpdte. And the application fee was around 1200Rs and the documents which were to be submitted along with the application was jee mains score card, 12th marksheet ,10th marksheet, domicel , transfer certificate. I personally didn't availed any reservation benifits as I was from general category. But there were reservation benefits for the students belonging to obc , sc and st categories. The website for initiating the admission process was little bit slow but, so if the website could be made little bit more user friendly and fast then it would be very good.

As a fresher, I don't know so much about the placements but as said by the seniors placements are good in it and cs sector and okay in the core sectors but students can apply for it companies by studying programming.

Remarks:

So, to take admission in SGSITS college Indore, firstly you have to give jee mains exam and on the basis of this you can do your choice filling of different colleges and branches at mpdte online website where you have to do registration and you have mp domicile certificate then you are lucky bcoz it holds 90 to 95 percent of the seats in the college and then there will two rounds after choice filling then you can get college according to the best of your rank in jee mains. But you can also get admission to this college on the basis of your 12th marks but its possibilities are less.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course as the placements records of the information technology branch are quite appreciable. There is enough nom of faculties in the college. Someone of the faculties is PhD's from iit's.there are semester exams and mid-semester exams.

Admission is based on the jee mains exam. if you score less than 30000 ranks. You will get CS over here. The cs and it of the college are comparable with lower nit's and new iiit's. there is a reservation on basis of caste and state

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for internships in the 5th semester and placement is in the 7th semester for CS-IT students there are a lot of opportunities and also for other branches if you're confident with your skills there is nothing to worry about.

Remarks:

First, there was jee mains and after that, it was just the admission process filling up forms and all that. Administration Should conduct most of the process online as it gets confusing for new students and there is a lot of roaming here and there between offices.

If you are comparing Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science, and The Institute of Engineering & Technology, DAVV, then go for the former. IET DAVV has its own reputation but not better than SGSITS. Here is the comparison between SGSITS and IET DAVV. Faculty: The educational qualification of SGSITS professors are PhD holders from, old IITs and IISC. And only a few IET DAVV professors have PhDs from IIT and IISC. Placement: SGSITS is one of the oldest colleges and thus has a good placement record. Its Alumni are also wider and good. That is why every department of students of SGSITS got placed including CSE and EC. Companies such as Adani, Aditya Birla, Adobe, Asian Paints, Axis Bank, Deloitte, etc come for campus placement. On the other hand, IET DAVV also has decent placement. IET DAVV mostly has software companies as a recruiter. But its placement record is not better than SGSITS. Campus and Student Life: IET DAVV has good campus and student life. It has a good cultural fest. While SGSITS has good technical fests. NIT Raipur is the Institute of National Importance(INI). It provides bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in engineering, technology, architecture, and basic sciences. Before 2011-12 there were only 39 NITs in the country but now there are 73 and almost all fall under the MHRD Accreditation. Major things you need to know about NIT Raipur: Education: You've to do it on your own. Yes, good faculty is there to help you in your studies but there will be no spoon-feeding like school. Infrastructure: Quite old but okay as now they're undergoing renovation, so many new facilities are available now. The campus runs to an area of about 100 acres. There are 8 hostels with more than 3000 students and each hostel has its own mess. Faculty: You will find many senior faculties arrogant and having old age mentality but some of them are very supportive and encouraging. Places to hang out: There are a lot of recreational activities here, you'll get to know them once you enroll here. Raipur is a very decent city with wonderful people. It also has a much lower crime rate according to recent times. As per my friends’ opinion, NIT Raipur would be a much better choice than SGSITS Indore.

From what I gathered, it doesn't really matter whether you're from GS or UIT. The only thing that matters is your future goals and where you see yourself 5 -10 years from now. whether you want to pursue an MBA, a Ph.D., or a career in technology. However, most of my friends, whether from SGSITS or UIT, work in the same company/profile, so there isn't much of a difference. Here are the recent placement highlights for the institutes. Neither IET DAVV and SGSITS have management quota seats. IET DAVV: IET DAVV is a government-funded college so there is no management quota available and there is no other option to get direct admission into the college. If you want to get admission to this college, then you have to appear for JEE exams and score a higher rank to be eligible for admission here. You can also apply for college-level counseling for which you need a higher rank to get selected in this college. SGSITS: SGSITS is a government-run college so there is no management quota too. This is one of the oldest and reputed colleges of Madhya Pradesh and to get admission you have to score very good marks in your JEE exams. You can also apply for college-level counseling but for this, you need a higher JEE rank.
