I chose SGSITS over other colleges like ABC University and XYZ College due to its excellent faculty, state-of-the-art infrastructure, and strong industry connections. SGSITS offers a comprehensive curriculum with a good balance of theory and practical applications. The admission process was smooth, with eligibility requiring a high school diploma and accepted exams including JEE Main. The college's entrance exam is preferred by most students, with cutoffs around 85%. The high placement rates and supportive learning environment solidified my choice.
The course curriculum is very bad. It lacks relevance and comprehensiveness, with outdated material and insufficient practical applications. Specific aspects like industry-aligned projects and internships are minimal, influencing my decision negatively. The curriculum poorly prepares students for real-world applications or further academic pursuits. Exams are frequent but often overly difficult and poorly timed. Improvements are needed in incorporating current industry trends and interactive learning methods.
Tye internship opportunities in my college is intermediate, stiludents have to find their internships by their own. The college supports sometimes but you need high cgpa for that opportunity, but yeah it us pretty good.
Placements at SGSITS are impressive. Students become eligible from the 7th semester. Top companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, IBM, and L&T visit, with TCS offering 50 positions, Infosys 40, and Wipro 35 last year. The highest package was ?15 LPA by Microsoft for a software development role, and the average package is ?5 LPA. Around 85% of eligible students secure placements. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech industry, using the skills and knowledge I've gained.
The fee for the entire course is near about 4 lakhs. And it is increasing every year for new admissions. The approx fee per semester is 50 thousand rupees.I am not getting any scholarship but students do get 100% scholarship
My campus life at SGSITS has been vibrant and enriching. The annual fest, Aayam, held in February, and the technical fest, Technosearch, in October, are highlights. The library offers a vast range of books and journals, easily accessible to students. Classrooms are equipped with modern tech facilities. Sports and extracurricular activities, including football, cricket, and dance, are well-supported. Student-run clubs like the Coding Club and the Robotics Club greatly enhance the learning experience and foster a strong sense of community.
Our college has a 1:20 faculty-to-student ratio, fostering personalized learning. Faculty are approachable, with many holding open office hours. Dr. Jane Smith and Prof. John Doe stand out for their engaging, helpful teaching styles, while Dr. XYZ's fast-paced lectures can be challenging. The course structure blends core subjects and electives, updated regularly for relevance. Exams include midterms and finals, plus quizzes and assignments. With a 90% pass rate, the curriculum is practical and industry-aligned.
