Vardhman Mahavir Medical College (VMMC) was founded in the year 2001. VMMC is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.

Candidates are required to download the application form separately for each course from the official website of the college.

Candidates who have passed 10+2/ HSC with at least 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology are eligible to apply for MBBS/ BSc (Nursing) Admission.
Applicants who have finished MBBS course along with 1 year of rotational internship are eligible to apply for admission to MD/ MS.
Selection of the candidates for MBBS course is done on the basis of their marks obtained in NEET-UG and for MD/ MS it is mandatory to qualify NEET-PG.
Admission of the candidates who are willing to take admission in BSc (Nursing) course is done based on their merit in 10+2.

VMMC MBBS Admission 2023

Vardhman Mahavir Medical College offers 5 and ½ years of regular MBBS course with the total intake of 150 students.

Candidates who have passed 10+2 or its equivalent qualifying examination with minimum 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English are considered eligible for admission to MBBS course.

Admission to the applicants is given on the basis of their merit in NEET-UG conducted by CBSE and IPU-CET MBBS conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.

Candidates who are seeking admission under All India Quota are supposed to attend the counselling session conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.
IPUCET is pen-paper test held in during the month of April and is conducted in two stages viz. Stage-I is held in 15 exam centers across the country, whereas Stage-II is held at New Delhi center.
There are total 200 questions of 1 mark each with no negative marking scheme.

NEET-UG is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in the month of May and the result is declared in the month of June.

VMMC BSc (H) Nursing Admission 2023

VMMC offers Bachelor of Science in Nursing. BSc (H) Nursing is of 4 years’ duration course with the total intake of 250 students.

Applicants who have completed HSC/ 10+2 from a recognized Board with minimum 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English and have also qualified each subject separately are considered eligible to apply for admission in BSc (Nursing) course.

VMMC MD/ MS Nursing Admission 2023

Candidates are given admission to MD/ MS course based on their merit in National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test-Post Graduate (NEET-PG) conducted by National Board of Examination (NBE).

Vardhman Mahavir Medical College offers MD (Medicine)/MS (Surgery) of 3 years’ duration with 16 and 4 specializations respectively to the aspirants.

Applicants who have passed MBBS Degree course from an MCI recognized University and have completed the 1-year rotational internship are considered eligible to get admission into MD/ MS course.

NEET-PG is a national level entrance test and it is the only entrance test conducted to give admission into MD/ MS course. Any University/ College across the country does not conduct any separate entrance test.
NEET-PG is a computer-based test of 3 hrs. 30 mins’ duration. The test comprises of 300 MCQs with no negative marking, held in the month of December and result is declared in January.
Candidates should have permanent registration with MCI or any State Medical Council.

Which is better: VMMC vs AIIMS Jodhpur?

VMMC Delhi is better than AIIMS Jodhpur. It offers better research opportunities and networking opportunities. It also ranks higher than AIIMS Jodhpur. NIRF 2021 ranked VMMC 18 for Medical. It also has a 50% internal PG reservation.

Located in the nation's capital, VMMC offers better networking opportunities. Compared to Jodhpur, Delhi will offer a better college experience.

Among VMMC, UCMS and PGIMER (and the RML hospital) which is the best for an MD in general medicine?

Among the three option mentioned, PGIMER and RML hospital is the best option for doing an MD in General Medicine. It offers great exposure and academics. The spectrum of cases, facilities available, quality of care offered is exceptional. Other than Oncology, you will have exposure to all subspecialties.

UCMS is almost in the same range. However, it has a locational disadvantage. Other than that the spectrum of cases and academics offered at the institute is quite good.

VMMC is also a decent option. But it has a high patient load. Academics are really poor and you will have to go out of your way to learn things.
