Jammu University admission 2023 will be conducted through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for UG and PG programs. CUET UG 2023 registrations have been reopened, the last date to submit the application form is April 11. CUET UG 2023 exam will be conducted from May 21 to May 31, 2023. Also, CUET PG 2023 registrations are open now and the last date to apply is April 19. CUET PG 2023 exam will be held from June 1 to June 10, 2023. Jammu University is also inviting applications for MBA TTM admission 2023, the last date to apply for the same is May 31.

Jammu University admits students into its 50+ UG, PG, Diploma and PhD courses. The admissions are based on the CUET exam scores followed by the counseling process. I have a few friends from Jammu University and according to them the process to get transcripts from the university is quite simple. 

  • You will need to visit the administration block of Jammu University. 
  • Get the form and fill out the details of the degree for which you want transcripts.
  • Attach proof of passing the said degree from Jammu University. It needs to be duly attested by your departmental head.
  • Submit the required fee.
  • Give the details of the agency or the institute where you want to send your transcripts clearly and you are done. 

Your transcripts should be ready to dispatch within 15 days or so, depending on the pending work.

A few of my friends graduated from the University of Jammu. Here is their advice. 

  • Get to know your university area well, your classrooms, your libraries, etc. Dhanvantri library is quite famous. 
  • Attend your classes regularly. Jammu University is quite strict about attendance, results, etc. So, make sure you start focusing on your studying from the beginning of your course.
  • The faculties and the staff at the university are quite cooperative. 
  • Have proper strategy and timetable from the very beginning, if you want to score well in examinations.

Here are some possible reasons that can be ascribed to the lower rank of Jammu University.

  • If you stay on the university campus, you can take membership and permission to access courts and games at the university stadium.
  • Most students prefer to study at the central library of Jammu.
  • You can visit the nearest tourist places like Mansar Surinsar Lakes, Mata Vaishno Devi Temple, Shiv Khori in Reasi district, Gharana wetland at RS Pura, etc.

It entirely depends on which course you are choosing. However, overall DU is definitely better than PU and Jammu University.

The academics and faculty base are almost the same at these universities. However, academics are not the only influencing factor in the overall development of students. Curriculum, exposure, and other additional things also play crucial roles.  

At DU, you will have great exposure. DU has many societies like dance society, fashion society, debating society, etc. If you have any passion, you can explore it at DU.  The peer group at DU is also better. 

If we speak generally, for the given institutes, your preference order should be DU>PU>Jammu University.
