I have a few friends from Jammu University and according to them the process to get transcripts from the university is quite simple.  You will need to visit the administration block of Jammu University.  Get the form and fill out the details of the degree for which you want transcripts. Attach proof of passing the said degree from Jammu University. It needs to be duly attested by your departmental head. Submit the required fee. Give the details of the agency or the institute where you want to send your transcripts clearly and you are done.  Your transcripts should be ready to dispatch within 15 days or so, depending on the pending work. 

A few of my friends graduated from the University of Jammu. Here is their advice.  Get to know your university area well, your classrooms, your libraries, etc. Dhanvantri library is quite famous.  Attend your classes regularly. Jammu University is quite strict about attendance, results, etc. So, make sure you start focusing on your studying from the beginning of your course. The faculties and the staff at the university are quite cooperative.  Have proper strategy and timetable from the very beginning, if you want to score well in examinations. These are a few of the things that you should keep in mind. 

Here are some possible reasons that can be ascribed to the lower rank of Jammu University.  The quality of education offered by the university needs improvement.  The university needs to provide proper guidance and counseling to students regarding placements and internships.  Lake of proper administration is another contributing factor.  Kashmir University has a better faculty base compared to Jammu University.  These are the major reasons why Jammu University falls behind Kashmir University. 

There are a lot of things that you can do at Jammu University during weekends.  If you stay on the university campus, you can take membership and permission to access courts and games at the university stadium. Most students prefer to study at the central library of Jammu. You can visit the nearest tourist places like Mansar Surinsar Lakes, Mata Vaishno Devi Temple, Shiv Khori in Reasi district, Gharana wetland at RS Pura, etc.  If you love movies, there are multiplexes within a 4-5 km radius of the university.  These are some of the things that students at Jammu University usually do during weekends. 

It entirely depends on which course you are choosing. However, overall DU is definitely better than PU and Jammu University. The academics and faculty base are almost the same at these universities. However, academics are not the only influencing factor in the overall development of students. Curriculum, exposure, and other additional things also play crucial roles.   At DU, you will have great exposure. DU has many societies like dance society, fashion society, debating society, etc. If you have any passion, you can explore it at DU.  The peer group at DU is also better.  If we speak generally, for the given institutes, your preference order should be DU>PU>Jammu University.
