Jammu University offers courses at UG, PG & Doctoral domains in the areas of Science, Arts, Management, Computer Application, Law, Education and Commerce. At UG curriculum, courses like B.A, B.Com, B.P.Ed, BBA, B.A LLB, LLB and B.Lib.Sc are provided by the university. To be eligible for an UG courses, students need to pass 10+2 level with 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized board. At PG level, the university offers M.A, M.Sc, LLM, M.Com, M.P.Ed, MCA, MBA and several others. For being eligible to a PG course, students are required to have a graduation degree in the relevant subject with a minimum percentile from a recognized university. Admission to Jammu University UG & PG courses are done on the basis of qualified score in JUET. Also the university accepts CAT, MAT, CMAT score for admission to an MBA course.

At Research level, courses like PhD, M.Phil are provided in multiple specialisations such as Library & Information Science, Urdu, Economics, Physics, Electronics and a lot more. Students should have their Master's in the same fields to be eligible for any doctoral courses. Selection will be granted on the basis of the entrance exam score conducted by the university. University of Jammu UG Admission 2023

Jammu University offers several courses at UG level. All the courses are offered for 3 years and in full time mode. B.A, B.Com, B.P.Ed, BBA, B.A LLB, LLB and B.Lib.Sc are provided by the university at UG curriculum. To be eligible for an undergraduate program students should pass 10+2 level with 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized board. For the LLB course, students need to pass graduation in any stream from a recognized university with 45% marks in aggregate. University of Jammu UG Eligibility

For being eligible to any UG courses students are required to have 50% marks in aggregate at 10+2 level from a recognized board.
To be eligible for an LLB course, candidates need to have a bachelor's degree in any stream with 45% marks in aggregate from a recognized university.

Candidates need to appear in JUET and must obtain a qualified score to be selected.

University of Jammu PG Admission 2023

At PG domain, Jammu University offers several courses in copious disciplines. Some of the courses are M.A, M.Com, M.Sc, MBA, MCA etc. All these courses are provided for the duration of 3 years, in full time campus mode. The university demands at least a graduation degree in a relevant subject with 45% marks in aggregate to be eligible for a PG program. Candidates need to secure minimum 25% marks in JUET to be selected in a PG curriculum. For an MBA course, the university accepts CAT/MAT/CMAT score. University of Jammu PG Eligibility

For being eligible to M.A, M.Sc, M.P.Ed courses students are required to have done bachelor's degree in relevant subjects.
For M.Com courses, candidates should have done graduation with 55% marks in aggregate to be eligible.
For MBM and M.Ed, students should pass graduation in BBM and B.Ed with 50% marks in aggregate to be eligible.

University of Jammu PG Selection Process

Selection will be made on the basis of JUET performance. Students should score at least 25% marks in aggregate at JUET.
For admission to an MBA course, students should meet or exceed the minimum cut off marks of CAT/MAT/CMAT to be selected.

At research based level, Jammu University offers PhD, M.Phil courses in History, Commerce, Chemistry, Biotechnology Mathematics and several other specialisations. Selection would be based on the score of the entrance exam conducted by the university. An applicant must secure 50% marks in aggregate for being selected for an M.Phil or PhD course.

Students wishing to get admission in any course at Jammu University, must visit the official website for online admission. They should secure a qualified score in JUET. The steps below are showing how to apply for Jammu University:

Applicants should visit the official website of University of Jammu and register themselves for JUET.
After completing the registration process, students need to login and fill the application form and pay the application fee through challan at the nearby branch of Jammu & Kashmir Bank Ltd. to collect the JUET application form.
The JUET registration fee is INR 700 for General category, INR 600 for SC/ST categories.
Download the duly filled Application Form and send it to the Department of Education, University of Jammu with requisite documents.
Authorities will check the form and prepare the merit list which can be checked through online on the website.
Shortlisted candidates are advised to visit the admission committee at the time of JUET counselling.

I have a few friends from Jammu University and according to them the process to get transcripts from the university is quite simple. You will need to visit the administration block of Jammu University. Get the form and fill out the details of the degree for which you want transcripts. Attach proof of passing the said degree from Jammu University. It needs to be duly attested by your departmental head. Submit the required fee. Give the details of the agency or the institute where you want to send your transcripts clearly and you are done. Your transcripts should be ready to dispatch within 15 days or so, depending on the pending work.

A few of my friends graduated from the University of Jammu. Here is their advice. Get to know your university area well, your classrooms, your libraries, etc. Dhanvantri library is quite famous. Attend your classes regularly. Jammu University is quite strict about attendance, results, etc. So, make sure you start focusing on your studying from the beginning of your course. The faculties and the staff at the university are quite cooperative. Have proper strategy and timetable from the very beginning, if you want to score well in examinations. These are a few of the things that you should keep in mind.

Here are some possible reasons that can be ascribed to the lower rank of Jammu University. The quality of education offered by the university needs improvement. The university needs to provide proper guidance and counseling to students regarding placements and internships. Lake of proper administration is another contributing factor. Kashmir University has a better faculty base compared to Jammu University. These are the major reasons why Jammu University falls behind Kashmir University.
