Firstly, you need to go to Pariksha Bhavan. There each clerk in the examination section is assigned with a set of colleges affiliated with the University.

Approach the clerk, he will verify your 10th Marks sheet. He then needs to get approval from or signatures from more than 7 officers, this will take time, about 1-2 days.

They are rumored to get it delayed intentionally for obvious reasons. If you can successfully maintain your calm to their professional ethics, you will be over with it quickly.

One of my friends studied at Acharya Nagarjuna University. He completed his B.Tech in ECE. According to him, the college overall was really good and benefited him in many ways. He mentions that like every other college it also has its fair share of pros and cons.

Pros:

  • Having a very supportive faculty who were highly experienced as well.
  • The campus atmosphere was great, perfect for an educational institution.
  • They encourage students to be good not only in academics but in extracurricular activities as well.
  • Many sports fests, cultural fests are conducted.
  • The lab facilities provided are really good, especially the ECE department.
  • The entire campus and hostels are wifi enabled.

Cons:

  • Placements are not up to the mark.
  • The hostel and mess food is not healthy and it becomes tough to get used to it.

After completing B.Tech from Acharya Nagarjuna University, you will learn a lot about yourself and how to function in a professional environment. They may lack proper placement offers but they will build you up so you can face any interview and secure a job offer.

There are a lot of things you can do during the weekends. A few of them are as follows:

  • You can visit Amaravati, the people's greenfield Capital City of AP, which is under progress.
  • You can also visit the newly built temporary Interim Government Complex at Velagapudi near Mandadam village in Amravati city.
  • You will find one park in the IGC apart from the greenery at Assembly complex. The officials of the Capital Region Development Authority, CRDA, planted different species of plants from across the world.
  • You can enjoy the night food courts in Vijayawada, between 10 PM to 2 AM.
  • If you prefer eating out, go to Guntur and enjoy a delicious meal.
  • In Vijayawada, you can enjoy South Indian tiffin at Modern cafe Besant road.
  • If you prefer watching movies, you can go to Hari Hara, Shiva, or Naaz theaters at Guntur.
  • You can also visit Capitol cinemas or Swarna palace at Vijayawada.
  • There are options to go to Amravati and have a darshan (see) of Lord shiva or go to Vijayawada, have darshan of Kanakadurga goddess.

The list of things you can do goes on. You will not be able to visit a lot of them due to regular classes. But whenever you get the opportunity do visit these places as they will make your mundane life a bit interesting.

Preparing for a government exam parallel with M.Sc Chemistry, is a bit tough. Here are some reasons as to why it could become difficult.

  • You will have 4 days of lab class including physical, organic, inorganic and analytical lab.
  • You will have assignments to write, records to be completed, and seminars you need to attend and prepare for.
  • You will have to prepare for C-1 and C-2 internals.
  • Try maintaining a proper schedule, plan your activities beforehand.
  • If your classes become strict you will hardly get enough time to study during the day. But make time either early morning or late at night.
  • Make a to-do list as you are preparing for competitive exams.
  • Make daily, weekly, monthly and yearly goals and stick to them.
  • If you are traveling try to use the time effectively by reading inorganic theory concepts or try solving previous year’s government exam questions.
  • Usually in chemistry most of the organic and inorganic are heat-related experiments.

If you have free time, utilize it by visiting the library and reading books on inorganic chemistry. You could also complete your assignments to stay a bit ahead.

You will be left with 4-5 hours because of your M.Sc. but it is still sufficient, as you can study effectively between these hours. Make short notes and focus one day on revision, do mock tests to analyze your strengths and weaknesses and work on them.
