Course Description

IIIT Bhubaneswar BTech Admissions 2023 are based on the JEE Main scores followed by JoSAA counseling. The JoSAA cutoff 2023 and Rounds 1-6 of seat allotment are out for IIIT Bhubaneswar. 2 more special rounds of seat allotments will be released by CSAB. The CSAB- Special Round-I has been announced on August 08. Special Round II seat allotments will be declared on August 13.

IIIT Bhubaneswar’s JEE Mains registration period will begin on November 1, 2023, and will end on November 30, 2023. Furthermore, IIIT Bhubaneswar BTech 2024 admissions will be based on JEE Mains 2024. JEE Mains is expected to take place in two phases, i.e., in January and April. JEE Mains 2024 first attempt exam date is scheduled for the last week of January 2024 (tentative).

IIIT Bhubaneswar BTech Eligibility Criteria

Applicants are required to fulfill the mentioned criteria to be eligible for BTech in NIT Agartala.

IIIT Bhubaneswar eligibility criteria for the candidates require that the admission-seeking candidate must have 75% marks in 10+2.
Candidates must have subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in their 10+2 from a recognized board.

IIIT Bhubaneswar BTech Admission 2023

Admission to the BTech program at IIIT Bhubaneswar is offered based on JEE Main score which is followed by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counseling. The institute-specific qualifying cut-off is announced after the declaration of JEE Mainresultst to manage the seat allotment process. After all the rounds of JoSAA (rounds 1-6) are out, CSAB counseling takes place. CSAB releases 2 special rounds of seat allotment for IIIT Bhubaneswar BTech admissions 2023.

IIITBhubaneswar'sr selection process for BTech degreeprogramss is the final phase of the admission process. It is completely based on merit and the performance of the candidate in the JEE Main entrance exam.
JEE Main entrance exam is followed by a counselling round which is conducted by JoSAA for the respective year.

Candidates can log into the JoSAA website by entering their JEE application number and passwords on the official website.
After confirming and filling in the required details on the registration page the students can click on the ‘Confirm Registration’ button and register themselves for the counseling process.
Then they will be redirected to a page showing them the ‘Available Services’ and the ‘Current Choice Filling and Locking Status’. For choosing their preferred colleges, they have to click on ‘Choice Filling’ under the section of ‘Available Services’. They can then add their choices accordingly.

IIIT Bhubaneswar BTech Course Details

As mentioned before IIIT Bhubaneswar offers 5 different specializations of a time duration of 4 years, which are divided into 8 semesters. There are collectively a total of 300 seats allotted to the B.Tech students, out of which 50% are reserved for the Odisha students and the rest 50% of the seats are for the students hailing from other parts of the nation. One of my friends is among the recent alumni of the institute and has a better idea about the same. Here is what he has to say. While IIIT Guwahati is an institute of National Importance, IIIT Bhubaneswar is not. IIIT Guwahati usually also has the provision of industry support from various major companies because of the status of national importance it has. It also comes under MHRD, GOI directly. IIIT Bhubaneswar doesn’t enjoy the same privilege. IIIT Guwahati receives funds and support directly from the central government, unlike IIIT Bhubaneswar. IIIT Guwahati was first established by MHRD and was among the few newer IIITs to have their permanent campus quite early. You will have good classmates who are among the top 10% in either MH board exams or the CET exams. You will get better placements, the average of which has been around 90%. Students can choose any branch of their choice, if they belong from Odisha, also if they have secured 100+ marks in their IIT Mains. Approximately 50% of seats are reserved only for Odisha Students. Candidates from other states will not be applicable to any type of Quota. IIIT Bhubaneswar conducts its own Counselling process for the Admission of Odisha Students. The admission of Odisha Candidates is done on the basis of the JEE Main 2020 CRL ranking but for Non- Odisha Candidates it is done on the basis of JoSSA/CSAB 2020. Candidates from outside of Odisha required to score between 120 - 125 for the CSE branch and 90 marks for the IT branch in the Year 2017. However, if you can cross these criteria then you will surely get any branch of your choice for 2020. You must have to score little above the qualification level for JEE advanced. It would be a safe line for students. The chances are low if your score is less than 125. You may or may not get the chance to ensure the seat. The cut off criteria completely depends on the demand of the engineers in India. It also depends on the Category of a Candidate. If we talk about General Category students, one must secure a minimum of 130 marks for CSE, 120 marks for ECE, and 110 marks for EEE in their JEE Mains. Admission into CSE is a little bit difficult to predict the admission rate for General Candidates. For this, students should score above the cut off marks. Also, the Government gives the advantage to female students of Odisha by reserving 95% seats. Do not panic and keep trying your best. You will achieve your goal successfully.
