Is Aligarh Muslim University good enough for a B.Tech, compared to private universities like VIT, SRM, Manipal and Thapar?
Posted On - Aug 19, 2020Yes, Aligarh Muslim University is way better than private universities such as VIT, SRM, Manipal, and Thapar for B.Tech. AMU is a central university and is widely recognized. Many times students prefer AMU prefer NITs.
It has international-level infrastructure and a great faculty base. Many professors from CS and Electronics branches are past employees of top MNCs like Microsoft, CISCO, etc. The placements are pretty good for B.Tech. AMU B.Tech placements 2021 had an average CTC of INR 5.62 LPA.
The industrial exposure is less compared to the other institutes. But as AMU is located in the vicinity of NCR, the location advantage makes up for it.
AMU is government funded while the rest are private which contributes to the infrastructural and cultural differences otherwise all are almost at par with each other. Thapar and Manipal have world-class sport-complexes. It is on the individual’s determination and hard-work to make a career.
