The Birla Institute of Technology & Science, also known as BITS, Pilani was established in 1964. It has 4 campuses across the globe- Pilani, BITS Goa, BITS Hyderabad and BITS Goa. The institute focusses primarily on undergraduate engineering, science and management courses. It is undoubtedly one of the best private engineering institute and stands among the top Engineering and B-schools of India.
BITS scheduled BITSAT, its annual entrance exam, from May 14-28, 2016 for admissions into integrated first degree Engineering Courses this year. Currently, admissions into various courses as per the BITSAT Merit List is going on for the new academic year. First three rounds of counselling for BITS are already completed and now candidates are now checking their luck with the recent announcement of the fourth cut off, BITSAT fourth iteration.

Along with its brilliant courses, BITS also gives a number of scholarship options to all the students. Following are the Scholarships and Concessions that students can avail during the course of their programme.
Students who have secured the top three positions in their 10+2 board exams in their respective boards (General Secondary Education Certificate Exam of Ministry of Education, UAE or CBSE-India or any other State, National or International Board), can avail merit scholarships of 100%, 75% and 50% of the first semester tuition fee respectively for the first semester.

* The above scholarship is applicable for first year only and subsequently; the students will be eligible for the merit scholarship of the institute as mentioned below in Continuing Students section.
Students who score 150 or above in BITSAT can avail a concession of 25% ON THE Hostel Fee for the complete duration of course.
Students who appeared for AIEEE/IIT-JEE and want to take admission in the engineering programme, can avail a scholarship of 25-75% in the first year tuition fee. This depends on how much they score.
For students whose score a CGPA of 9.00 or above at the end of the semester, on a scale of 10.00, can avail a scholarship of 20% of tuition fee for the current semester for the normal duration of the programme.
Students who fall under the GCC/Arab Nationals category, can avail a scholarship between 50-100% on the tuition fee, based on their performance in the qualifying exam and continuance of certain minimum performance during the course. Students may please take note that these scholarships will be given to specific no. of students under each scholarship category.
The institute can waive off a student’s complete tuition fee for one semester, if the student faces financial hardships due to the sudden and untimely demise of the sole earning member of their family in that semester. A scholarship of up to 75% can be offered in the subsequent semesters, on a case to case basis, depending on means and need and the overall performance/ discipline of the student.
All physically challenged students satisfying the conditions laid out are given a 15% concession on the tuition fee throughout the programme subject to satisfactory academic performance in each semester.
For families that have more than one child enrolled concurrently, a concession of 25% on the tuition fee is offered to the second child until the first child graduates.
