IPU CET 2023 Exam Centers, State-wise List, Important Instructions

    IPU CET 2023 Exam Centers is expected to be released by GGSIPU on its official website. Candidates will have to enter their choice of exam center and city code while filling IPU CET 2023 Application Form. The exam is expected to be conducted by 4th week of April 2023. 

    • The final allotted exam center will be mentioned in IPU CET 2023 Admit Card. One should carry a valid photo id card, along with the admit card, to the exam hall. 
    • The test centers for all programs except B.Tech, MCA and MBA are in Delhi only. Any two test cities can be chosen for these programs. 
    • IPU CET 2023 is expected to be held in 15 cities across India.

    IPU CET 2023 Exam Centers

    IPU CET will be conducted only in Delhi for all the other programs except Engineering, MBBS, MCA, and MBA. The exam center chosen by the candidate for IPU CET 2023 should be considered as their preferred choice. Request regarding any changes in the already filled exam center will not be entertained under any circumstances.

    • Contenders can select two test cities as per their preference during the time of registration.
    • The exam conducting authority will make the final allocation of IPU CET exam center.

    Given below are the instructions on the IPU CET 2023 Exam Day.

    • Candidates will not be permitted to enter the Examination Hall post half an hour of the begining of the examination.
    • No candidate will be allowed to leave the examination hall before the exam gets over.
    • Candidate should leave IPU CET Exam Center only after handing over OMR answer sheet and test booklet to the Invigilator.
    • Smoking in the examination hall during the hours of the Test is strictly prohibited.
    • Tea, coffee, cold drinks or snacks are not allowed inside the examination hall during the Test.
    • If any candidate is found using any unfair means or does not maintain discipline during conduct of the Common Entrance Test, the University will take necessary disciplinary action against such candidates.
    • No candidate should carry any textual material, printed or written, bits of papers or any other material except IPU CET Admit Card inside the examination hall.
    • Carrying of calculator pen, cell phone, pager or any other electronic gadgets to the Examination Centre is strictly prohibited. The University will neither make any arrangement for the safe custody of any of these items nor will be responsible for loss of any such item. Hence, the parents may counsel their wards for not carrying such items with them while going to respective examination centers for taking the CET. If the candidate is found in possession of such gadgets during the examination, it will be treated as the use of unfair means.
    • Candidates must not obtain or give or attempt to obtain or to give undesirable assistance of any kind during the Test, as it shall be treated as the use of unfair means.
    • Any attempt to note down questions during the test or to take away pages from the Test Booklet will be viewed very seriously, and hence legal action may be taken. This will be treated as the use of unfair means.
    • The decision in regard of usage of unfair means will be taken by the university on the report of the center superintendent of the exam center, on the recommendation of a constituted committee by the Controller of Examinations of the University. The constitution of the committee will be done by the Controller of Examinations.

    IPU CET 2023 Exam Day Workflow

    IPU CET 2023 Exam Day Workflow can help ease the candidates’ nervousness. Given below are events that can occur on the exam day. 

    • Frisking may be done at entry gates and during examination. Candidates are strictly advised not to carry any prohibited items to the examination center. If any candidate is found in possession of any of these devices/documents, his/her candidature is liable to be disqualified. Candidates are also advised not to bring any valuable costly items to the examination center as arrangement of safe keeping of the same cannot be assured and exam center will not be responsible for safe custody, loss or theft.
    • Once the Biometric Attendance Registration and Capturing of Photograph are done at Registration Desk, the Candidate will proceed to the allocated computer node. After the computer-based test is over, the candidates will appear for bio-metric re-verification before leaving the computer lab. The candidate should ensure that biometric image and photograph are captured properly during bio- metric verification as their bio-metrics captured during CBT may be verified during the remaining stages of selection process.
    • The User ID and Password for the Computer Based Test (CBT) will be provided to the Candidate 10 minutes before the commencement of examination at their respective computer terminal. The Candidate will be required to enter Login ID and Password which will be provided at examination center to appear for Computer Based Test. Candidates will have to ensure that their name, photograph appearing on the computer screen are correct after Login.

    Provision for PwD Candidates

    • The candidates who have disability of 40% or more may opt for his or her own scribe for marking responses (answers) on their behalf, if so desired, provided that they produce original medical certificate issued by competent medical authority regarding such disability at the time of entry to the examination center.
    • All the candidates with disabilities will be allowed―compensatory time of 50 minutes (over and above the normal duration of examination i.e., 2:30 Hrs.). A scribe declaration form will be provided on the GGSIPU website, which is to be downloaded, filled and brought along with admit card on the day of examination.

    Ques. I have applied for IPU CET 2023. What all documents do I need to carry to the examination center?

    Ans. On the examination day, you’re required to bring the following to the examination center:-

    1. Admit Card preferable in color print.
    2. Transparent body Pen.
    3. Three passport size photograph to be affixed on attendance sheet and other if required.
    4. Original Photo ID proof issued by Govt. authority.

    Ques. Will any candidate be allowed to leave the exam center early if s/he finishes IPU CET 2023 before the allocated time?

    Ans. No, candidates will not be allowed to leave the examination hall/room before the test concludes.

    Ques. I have been allotted the roll number but IPU CET exam center in the admit card is far from my residence. Can I get the examination center changed?

    Ans. No, once the roll number is allocated, examination center cannot be changed.

    Ques. Can GGSIPU fix any city as IPU CET examination center other than the options given by the candidate?

    Ans. The candidates will have option to choose four cities for examination of CET 2023.  High chances are that you may be alloted city of examination as per your choice. However, the exam conducting body does not guarantee any such assurance.

    Ques. How will I get to know which IPU CET exam center I have been alloted?

    Ans. Your alloted examination center name, along with its address details will be mentioned in your admit card. Candidates are advised to pre-verify the location of center and the mode of commuting.
