Australia is among the top 3 countries preferred by students to study abroad. Though the number of universities are limited to 43, however, the island has been attracting more than 500,000 students from over 160 countries.

India and Germany will soon sign a migration and mobility agreement, facilitating the two-way movement of students, professionals and researchers, and also addressing the challenges of illegal migration. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz welcomed the finalization of the negotiations on the bilateral agreement and agreed to take swift action. 

As an emerging student hub, Hong Kong welcomes all international students to come and study in Hong Kong. More than 30,123 international students are present in Hong Kong as per the data released by UNESCO. The country ranks 8th on the list of best student cities in the world.

PM Narendra Modi recently visited Paris and held talks with French President Emmanuel Macron on an array of issues such as tackling irregular migration and increasing two-way movement of professionals, skilled workers and students.  The French Government also announced their intention to increase the number of Indian students to around 20,000 by 2025 to study in the country.

The ‘Earn while you learn’ initiative was first proposed in 2016 to appeal to and retain more international students studying in Dubai. This initiative enables foreign pupils to take part in internships related to their subject area or apply for part-time jobs.
